im fasting too. didn't make it to kickboxing because i had a 24 hour headache. went to sleep with it tuesday night, woke up with it Wednesday and went to bed with it Wednesday night.

the scale fluctuated back up 1.8 lbs so all i can hope for is to break even. honestly after the weekend i had i really didn't deserve a loss we shall see

I'm curious about this plan. Does it work as well as low carb/atkins?

They have both worked for me catcookie. I am a slow loser, many have lost much more on both plans . It's really about if you want to fast or not as I did both low carb.

one year..
Atkins- 18.4lbs
5:2/lc - 24 lbs

Hope this helps!

I am so glad yesterday is over, I swear I could have eaten my arm off, so hungry. One of those days when you feel like your body is revolting against you.

Well, the scale is down from Monday by 1.5 lbs, so I guess I'm happy. I didn't do any fast days this week, just tried to not eat too many sweets and keep my portions in check. My sister is coming for the weekend so that means eating out and having a few beers. I won't weigh again till next Friday, so hopefully I'll be able to undo any damage by then!

I'll be on the golf course part of the weekend so there will be some exercise thrown in there. Off to boot camp now. Have a good day everyone!

i managed to track a -.4 lb loss this week, which frankly i didn't deserve. i will take it. this weekend im going to do my best to not have a gain on monday. my weekends really determine how my weigh in for the week will go. i need to have some big losses the next few weeks because tailgating season is around the corner...

The first 50 lbs I lost following a weight loss clinic that put me on vlcd with appetite suppresants and supplements. Did learn about eating and became confident that I could lose the weight. But I started havng side effects from the medication and stopped going.

Then I found the hcg protocol and basically in 3 rounds I lost the remaining weight. I used the homeopathic hcg, Intermountain drops and later pellets. I did do a 4th round after a vacation gain & my last one was a vanity round to get even lower which was a waste of time really.

I seem to be stabilizing at the weight I reached in Dec of last year 128, if I do a Correction Day then 125-126.

Good morning!

Yesterday was my out and about day, it was too hot to do much, enjoyed being with my friends though.

I had an up day but my weight still held, I think I'm going to being Fast days again Monday.

Yesterday was 1 year on my weight loss journey and I'm thankful for it, especially all the improvements to my health.

Hope everyone has a good day!

Hello Ladies ! Glad everyone is doing well

Letting my weight settle after 5:2 and I think it's finally doing that. The fluctuations are finally settling down and today I finally STS. Right now just focusing on eating healthy and exercising and trying not to stress over the scale or a specific number. As long as I'm stable and under 130 I am fine. I'm going by my hcg ldw from 2 rounds ago as my reference point of 128.2. Today I am 128.8 and as part of my maintenance will stick with CD Mondays which will probably be full fat greek yogurt/berries and hwc all day.

Can't say I've let go 100 % of seeing 122 again but I realize that after being extremely heavy for 17 years & losing 120 lbs in less than a year I need to maintain for a good long while before I ever think about losing any more weight. I am finally listening to my own advice and listening to my body. I got to 128 around November of last year and I still tried 2 additional vanity rounds of hcg and then the 5:2 and while I have gotten to 122-123 my body seems to go back to 128 in Maintenance.

But a little retail therapy at Kohl's helped today ! Got some XS tops since S were a little too loose. I also went in my closet and did some re-organizing & put in the back my size 4 pants that fit perfect at 123 but at 128 give me a muffin top But my size 6 fit perfect so I decided I need to focus on the positive and enjoy the present and how far I've come.

Have a great Saturday ladies

Hiya Good weigh-in this morning, the scale was steady, no fluctuating and I enjoyed some refried beans with my taco meat last night, first time in over year to have that.

Fast day today.

Have a good day!

i think you deserve just to maintain at this point. i would not be sweating 5 vanity lbs at all. you've come a long way, and its amazing what you've done!! Enjoy it!!! good job and congrats!!!!!

now im not saying to be super lax but definitely don't stress.

4:30AM and I'm up having a cup of coffee before boot camp. We're doing new workouts this week involving circuits & yesterday was rough! Lots of shoulders and triceps involved. Whew! Wonder what we'll be doing today?

I'm reading a new book that is similar to 5:2. It's called the Mini Fast diet. Quite simple and it can be combined with the 5:2 or any other plan. The main thing is to work out in a fasted state, which is what I do anyway. Also, you're supposed to wait as long as you can after working out to eat so that you stay in the fat burning mode for as long as possible. He does suggest you have a fairly low fat diet, but it's not required. He also suggests a cup of coffee before working out....I do that too! Of course, you can't put sugar and other stuff in your coffee, but I drink it black anyway.

So...that's my new plan. Work out in a fasted state, wait till around 11 to break my fast and stay primarily low fat.....with the occasional treat.

Good morning!

Happy, happy day - new week, I had a good fast day yesterday, weighed 201.2 this morning, down another 1.6 lbs plus the 1.8 loss Sunday, my total weight loss this week is 3.4 lbs.

I've kind of had a new revelation about fast days this week. I read some posts by pooticus in the Juddd forum and I really like the way she begins her day with dinner. I did that yesterday and my fast day was so much easier. She says and I quote... "I fast from the end of the previous night's meal until at least 14-16 hours, post prandial or post meal. Usually, I will simply fast 24 hours until the next dinner time, then enjoy a normal-sized 350-400 calorie meal. I might have a small 50 cal dessert after that meal". So, I'm going to give it a whirl, I think she's a genius.

Your book sounds interesting Lori, have a good boot camp today. Lexi and Pam, hope your days are good.
