Forgot to say to Angie!

Just wondering if that is why it is so difficult to lose...(other than the fact I MAY eat too much?)....I have been exercising more? I have to find SOMETHING else to BLAME it on!

I think I have become complacent...I accomplished the 15# goal, and now I am not motiviated to lose more...just grumbling to myself...but would appreciate any input on this thought? Thanks!

Sharon / Joanne we're all so close to goal. I know for the last week I've been going over my calories for the day and not doing enough areobic type exercises. This week I hope to do better.

May Calorie Count

May FINAL goal is to get to at least 139 by May 31st. I want to get down to at least 125 by August 1, 2013. My current weight as of May 6 is 145.3.

Started weight loss on January 7th at 159lbs.

April 15: 150.6lbs, May 6: 145.3lbs

Now that I have a scale at home I can easily track my progress. Through January and March I was using a scale at LaneCommunityCollege which turned out to be very innaccurate!

Kind of answered your own question there, Joannew. Add what I had mentioned before about what can happen when one loses weight fast like you did (except for our weight-loss machine Wukong ), then you can understand what's happening. From all I've read, it's probably doing your bod good to be eating more calories to shake your bod up.

For me, I'm on month two of playing with 125 lbs. What I never mentioned is that for decades when I was soooo active with 5 kids and other activities - always on the go - my weight was always 123 - 125 lbs. consistently.

Now I'm stuck at that weight due to 1. Lack of sleep 2. Exercise so far is inconsistent due to irregular sleep and tired. I still have absolutely no energy. 3. Inactivity due to #2. 4. Plus age - harder to lose.

I still need to go lower with my weight at this point in my life because I still have too much middle body fat I need to get rid of stopping me from getting into my jeans.. But the important thing is I'm not giving up, still focused and trying like heck to Move Forward. I have been contemplating going back on Atkins to shake my bod up, but have to wait until next Friday - my next grocery trip. I don't think this would be necessary if I slept and exercised consistently, but it is what it is.

Wukong...Thank you. I think it has to do with inactivity. Kind of a Catch 22 circle as far as too tired to exercise therefore not getting enough exercise resulting in not tired enough to sleep. At least my theory. I am going back to Doc this afternoon especially with those two complaints so will see what he has to say. I have to say I'm really scared to do some exercises because I'm afraid I'll hurt my hip again so that's another downer. At least I can do Leslie Sansone Walk video without negative after effects. Whole situation the pits.

Sharon - maybe fast walking or bike riding, if that doesn't hurt your hips, would get your heart rate up? Take it slowly for sure. I attempted to run again a few weeks back and calf started bothering me again so am just now starting to walk with a bit of slower running.

Joannew...Yep, your bod is getting used to your new weight. Good news is you're being consistent and your weight is showing you're still eating right. Just don't get discouraged and hang in there. You mentioned before that you're exercising more. Have you taken measurements?

Wukong...Thanks for suggestions. However, Leslie's Walk video has one walking really fast. Just need to be able to do it everyday. Hope to do her 2 mile walk by next week. For you, yes, those things take time to heal. Good luck with it! I thought maybe your bod was going to be stubborn like Joannew's and mine with our consistent weights. Then there you go dropping like a rock. We're all proud of you!

Hi everyone......I started 5:2 this week and Mondays and Thursdays are my down days....so Fridays will be my 'official" weigh in day instead of Thursdays. I like it so far....only thing is.. I was busy as a yesterday and I didn't eat enough...I hope I'm not starving later tonight...I'll be eating mostly protein today. Hurry up Friday

I'm here but not everyday...spending a lot of time with my mom...she has alzeimer and parkinson...needs lots of attention..but i write my weight everyday and record it when it's possible...

All we can do is try and don't give up..

Good morning everyone and welcome Angie. I have been away for a while but have been on strict plan for a week and am down 12# of sodium water weight gain. So, if I just stay away from that stuff, I will start losing and be back down to my lowest weight of 132 soon. I am 5'1" so goal is 125 but have been in the 130's seems like forever.

So, if I just stay away from that stuff, I will start losing and be back down to my lowest weight of 132 soon. I am 5'1" so goal is 125 but have been in the 130's seems like forever.

May FINAL goal is to get to 175 by May 15th and stay consistently at 175 for remainder of month.
Started weight loss on Jan. 12th at 212lbs.

End of January - 202 (-10 lbs), End of February - 192.4 (-9.6 lbs), End of March - 185.2 (-7.2 lbs), End of April - 178.4 (-6.8 lbs)

End of week 1: 178.8 +.4 lbs

Week 1 - 5/1 Wed 177.4, 5/2 Thu 177.8, 5/3 Fri 177.8, 5/4 Sat 178.8

May Goal

My final goal for the end of May is 139lbs. My current weight as of May 10, 2013 is 144.4lbs. I'm almost positive that I can get my goal for this month easily!

Started weight loss on January 7th at 159lbs.

May 6: 145.3lbs, May 10: 144.4lbs
