Coconut Good or Bad?

I have been reading so much about coconut lately. From dried coconut to oil. I hear some say it is good & others say it has too much saturated fat. I eat unsweetened organic raw coconut chips as a snack but when I log them in at caloriecounter, they rate a C+ and make my saturated fats for the day too high. I wonder if I should worry about that since I don't eat any other foods with fat in them. My SF for the day was 26 grams which is 189% of what they suggest. Any thoughts on this?

Coconut oil, water and milk have documented health benefits. I have not learned about anything necessarily unhealthy about coconut chips or flakes, but would think they may be fine in limitation.

all the medical research about saturated fat is pretty confusing, but I believe the current understanding is that saturated fat is not dangerous at all if you are low carbing.

the nutrition recommendations on that site you mentioned are for a standard reducing diet--low fat high carb low calorie. you can ignore them, they will just mess you up.
