Mary, welcome back. I also like the smoothie/fruit thing in the morning as I like knowing I'm getting lots of vitamins in for the day. I take a tablespoon of fish oil too with BB.

Jonescarb, I hear ya on the weight fluctuations. I hate it too. Salt and hormonal upheavals around TOM are my worst enemy. I keep track of my macros (cals, carbs, protein, fat), what I'm eating and in what amounts, my daily weight, as well as where I am in my TOM cycle in an excel sheet. It gives me a good idea the overall picture.

Oriana, yea, the smaller you are the harder it is to lose more weight. That's exactly what I'd found. My body can stay easily at around 110 pounds, but if I want to get smaller, I have to take more aggressive actions. What's your plan B?

I'll let you know after I try it for a couple weeks. It's an old plan that I used to be on and don't want to confuse anybody going full force right now. How about I post it on your board K.

Good morning to all.
Still on plan and loving it. I was away for the weekend but stuck to plan. Was up a little - .8 this morning but I am used to bouncing quite a bit.
Today's menu:
Homemade potato/hamburger casserole
Homemade chilli
Spaghetti Squash
Homemade cheesecake
apple salad
Slice fresh pineapple.

Hope all have a great day.

- coffee and cream
- croissant with sausage, egg, cheese
- whole block of tofu fried and dipped in soy sauce

- 1 cupcake

2,129 cals
125.4 g fat

15.4 g fiber
95.6 g protein

I'm PMS'ing right now so not looking my best. I am sleeping great though!

Hope everyone has a great day!

Just dropping in to say that this is working for me! There's only one phase of the month where I can show a weight-loss. These are my low weights recently:
September 148
October 147.2
November 147.0.

That may not seem dramatic, but I haven't seen 147 much this year at all. It's dramatic to me!

My typical menu:
Breakfast - salad with Caesar; 5 oz chicken; roasted green beans; Mama Lupe quesadilla; 1 oz nuts; homemade LC ice cream. Sometimes yogurt with berries.

Lunch: egg, bacon, spinach, onion, cheese, scrambled in butter.

Occasionally I'll eat a third meal. Last week I ate bigger lunches - I was ravenous. I'm eating much more luxuriously than on strict low carb and seeing better results. It's so great!

Hi girls, I am doing cm/cm/rm for a while to see if it revs up my metabolism . I needed a little change too from eating just a BB. I am going to have cheese and coffee with cream for breaky, salad and protein for lunch, and dinner balanced with a dessert or course. See what happens. I am finding that I need a little more during the day as I am a runner too.

So interested to see what will happen with your updated plan. Yesterday I had salmon, eggs and a big Butterfinger for breakfast. 2 ounces of turkey for lunch and an apple for dinner. Lost 1.6 lbs. I know it is water but still feels great!!

Today so far I have had 3ounces of salmon, 2 slices of cheese, 1/2 apple, 2T of peanuts, and 1/2 of a dark choc bar. I still need a little more protein but I'm full. Will try to get a bit more in by 9:00. Would like to do without lunch except for coffee with cream and mabe have spaghetti squash and an 1-2 oz of protein for dinner.

Have a great day everyone.

THat is great. I think it is good to mix it up once in awhile if anything to not get bored. Plus I do believe in tricking and changing so the metabolism doesn't have time to adjust. Good for you. You know now after several tinkers what works and what doesn't and you can just go right back to what makes you feel best!

That is why I don't mind once or twice a week (if needed) having some protein and veggies later in the day. This last 2 weeks was each only once that I did that. BB is getting easier and easier the longer I do it!!!

Today I am 210.6 lbs!!! I am in the 210's everyone This really works just keep trucking along and don't give up. My weekly avg for the last year is just about 1/4 to 1/2 pound per week loss. That is a great rate to lose! Less saggy skin and stress on the body.

I like the butter analogy. I have lost 97.6 sticks of butter already!

This really does work. I find no matter how I follow CAD (which is my baseline WOE) keeping carbs to one meal only really does work. The weight is just effortlessly slipping off. I can't believe it when someone talked about how many stick of butter is in a pound that I will now look at my "only" 24.6 pounds as VERY monumental because man o' man that's a lot of butter!!! LOL

In case anyone is curious, here are my meals for last 3 days:

Mon and Tues were the same. Monday I ate a bit later from 9am-10am and Tues was 7-8am:

7 ounces ribeye steak

5 Cup mixed green salad with 4 Tbsp regular Hidden Valley ranch dsg

24ounces of fruit smoothie with apple, plum, banana and green grapes and full fat maple syrup yogurt (Cream Top) by Brown Cow

16 ounces ice cream coffee milkshake (after blending) of 3 Cups regular fat Extreme Moosetracks Safeway ice cream, approx. 1 Cup regular half and half and 1 Starbuck's via

4-5 smores cookies

Today (Wed) was 8:30am to 9:30am:
3 eggs

1 ounce cheddar cheese

2 medium croissants with approx. 4 Tbsp regular cream cheese and 4 ounces of deli turkey meat

16 ounces of leftover fruit smoothie from yesterday

16 ounces ice cream coffee milkshake (same recipe as above)

5 Smores cookies from Safeway's bakery

Definately not low calorie, low fat, low carb and the weight just keeps coming off. Oh yeah, totally full and NOT HUNGRY at all the rest of the day!!!

See above. I just posted my last 3 days I have been eating WELL and love it. Also back to doing lots of steak and salad because like you I love it for breakfast and feel I am getting enough solid protein, fat, and love love love the veggies!

MIW

PS add to today's BB I had 6 sweet peppers (red, yellow, orange for veggies)

Thank you so much. Little by little I will get there and be in the maintenance range like you gals! I think it will probably take me close to 5 years to lose it all at my current rate of loss but I am ok with that. I need to start exercising more frequently which I know would speed it up but I'd like to get closer to 180 to save my joints if you know what I mean. That is one thing I have always been lucky about is that even at my heavy weight my joints are good but I want to keep it that way!

I know of 2 gals who have lost over 100 lbs on CAD/CALP and it took them 5 years and I can see my 24.6 in 54 weeks is right on target. Also I am eating so high calorie so my results are probably slower than they could be but I am not willing to do 1300-1500 like WW would have me on to lose it so no complaints here! I know I only got fatter and was miserable the previous 9 years so here is to the next 5 years of losing weight and loving every day of eating! LOL

Oriana do not give up. You are at a fabulous range of weight and you exercise so much and eat so well! Just do it based off hunger. I think it is great you can eat many little breakfasts and be done before 9am. I am actually going to give it a try myself soon and see how it affects my weight. Just don't give up. You are doing great and I want you to know I think so!!!

MIW do you think this works better for you because you weigh more than K. and I do? Dr. J. did say we could eat up to 3000 calories for BB. It wasnt a misprint.

I need to tell myself this also. My weight shot up .4 this am. I think I ate too many peanuts for my BB. All the salt maybe. I ate a little more protein than I planned last night was seriously hungry. Probably 4 oz cod and a helping of spaghetti squash which I know is only 54 cals. I also worked out yesterday so maybe the muscles are holding water. We are leaving for a few days so my goal is to weigh the same weight when I weigh in on Monday. I will try to have one cm and one rm a day. Have a good day. I will be cking in on the trip.
