Today's BB:

- coffee and cream
- sauteed green beans with garlic
- tuna salad
- yogurt fruit smoothie (greek yogurt, grapes, banana, mango, strawberries)
- 2 servings pizza
- 1 cookie

It was around 2000 cals, 150g carbs, 115g protein, 100 g fat.

I finished a little before 9am. Toward the end of my meal, I actually felt TIRED of eating ROFL! I can't say that's a normal reaction at all. I've always been a bit of a food addict, could always eat MORE than most people, so that was just plain weird. It's a nice problem to have though

Jonescarb, congrats!

I'm up a pound to 106, but I can tell from my fingers and face that I'm bloated. I might be PMSing. Or all the dairy (cheese, I'm looking at you) may be bloating me up.

Oriana, I will answer your questions later. I need to dash back to work.

Hope everyone has a great day!

BTW I'm Asian and dairy, especially cheese, may not agree with me at all. There's a lot of Asian that have an intolerance to dairy. I may need to consider cutting it out. I've been eating pizza last couple days.

Then I run sometimes and eat the rest of my BB before 9 a.m. I didn't like how I felt this week as I had to push it to 11 a.m. a couple of times. Have you had a free day yet? Do you exercise? What other diets have you tried?
Oriana, both of us are basically the same weight, although you're a couple inches taller than me. Do you think you're able to eat more because you're a lot more active? I sit on my butt all day basically while it sounds like you run at least half a marathon a day I'm not complaining though as the 2000 cals a day I'm eating is a very generous amount. I never dreamed I could eat this much and this many carbs (150g) and not gain like crazy.

I have not had a free day yet. I'm still feeling nervous I will gain like crazy if eat carbs throughout the day. I will experiment and try a free day in the future though, especially once I am confident my body won't blow up like a whale LOL. A free day might sound good when I have a social event -- like Thanksgiving meal with my in-laws coming up in a few weeks.

As to what diets I've tried, I've tried a lot! High carb/low cal/low fat, moderate carbs, low cal/low carb, Atkins, CAD, IF, Kwasniewski, and many others. I'm an experimenter for sure.

For weight loss, I usually resort to carb/cal cycling. My favorite plan that works supremely well for me is PSMF/Rapid Fat Loss from Lyle McDonald. I usually do 12 days of RFL, lose about 3 pounds on it, then I take a diet break eating at least 100 carbs for several weeks. After the break, I go back to PSMF/RFL to lose more weight, then back to maintenance. The up-and-down works like magic for me. The weight loss occurs during the strict 12 days of low cal/low fat/low carb. Then you take a diet break eating at least 100 carbs a day. That essentially "resets" your metabolism, brings up all the thyroid hormones that got low during the weigh toss phase, so that once you go back to weight loss phase, you lose a lot easier.

I don't think I will go back to low carb for maintenance, unless I have some sort of medical condition that forces me to eat low carb. I take Lyle McDonald's advice to heart -- eat at least 100 carbs for maintenance. Get your body used to carbs. If you need to take off the weight, go lower carbs and lower cals, but for maintenance eat at least 100 carbs a day. Carbs up-regulate thyroid hormones, bring up leptin and ghrelin.

I see a lot of maintainers eating low cals and low carbs. I find that a bit sad really. If you already eat low carb and low cals, where is there to go once you gain back a bit of weight or need to lose more weight?

Last year on this day I was 235 pounds. Today I am 211.8 pounds. Yesterday's RM only day for breakfast 8am-9am:

McDonold's:
1 Bacon, egg, cheese McGriddle plus just the bacon, egg, cheese from a second and I chucked the buns

2 breakfast sausage burritos with mild sauce

24 ounces homemade fruit smoothie with full fat yogurt

16 ounces of homemade ice cream milkshake made with 3 cups regular ice cream, 1 cup regular half & half

2 smore's cookies.

I couldn't eat anything else and I was FULL all day. I was 212.4 lbs yesterday and today my all time lowest weight (now seen for the THIRD time!). This really works!

I probably didn't have to, but I was getting full and really wanted my smores cookies. You can ask Oriana I have cookies everyday! LOL Plus I like the cookies for the chocolate for seratonin levels. I try to follow rules of CAD and CALP so go for a certain "balance" of carbs/protein/low carb veggies/fruits. I know from experience I dont' have to watch the carbs so much but it will affect hunger later in the day if I don't have enough protein to balance it out. Trust me I still have HUGE amounts of carbs and calories! LOL

I understand what you mean. I sometime will skip a carb if I know it's not going to do anything for me.

Eating tons of fruit before my meal and wait 2 hours after 5 a.m. and then have another BB and still losing. 105 this a.m. I actually start every day now with 2-3 lg. apples and then have my meal. I'm losing faster and not plugged up.

Today was VERY carby and salty: Dollar Chinese leftovers from hubby from yesterday. I didn't eat near as much as I thought. Just didn't taste as good as I thought it would. Had at least a cup of noodles and rice, one HUGE chicken leg with some kind of sauce on it, about 2 Cups of diced various sweet and sour chicken and pork, plus some sliced sauteed steak. About 1 cup of steamed brocoli, only 16 ouce fruit smoothie (leftover from the blender from yesterday) and also a 16 ounce ice cream milkshake and one full king size pack of twix (4 bars total).

We'll see if it bumps me on the scale with all the salt and carbs. I ate a bit late because we slept in so only from 9:10 to 9:40 am. I wasn't even hungry to eat the entire hour. That's WEIRD! LOL Now it's almost 4pm and still no hunger.

Today my BB was:
2 slices of stuffed crust pizza, muddy buddy snack mix, cupcake, yogurt with granola, protein shake, 1 mini candy bar, coffee with creamer.

I've seriously got to cook up a few types of meat so I can eat some actual protein for breakfast. I'm never in the mood to cook at 4am. I'm not a fan of protein shakes, but I figure I probably needed to up my protein this morning with all the carbs.

Have a great Sunday!

Today was a bit carb heavy so I will probably have some cheese, cabbage with ranch and some meat if I can find a CM worthy one.

Today's RM 8:30-9:30am:

1 can of Nalley's Chili Con Carne with a big dollop of regular fat sour cream and a big slice of cheese

2 medium croissants with a slice of cheese and deli turkey each

24 ounce fruit smoothie with banana, strawberries, grapes, orange, apple and full fat yogurt

16 ounce (after blended down) of moose tracks ice cream, half & half, and a decaf Starbucks Via.

5 smoores cookies

Don't think the chile and cheese and deli turkey was enough protein...

Me too. Hate cooking first thing in the morning and have found if food isn't cooked and ready to go, I just grab whatever I can find. So I ended up cooking a huge pot of rice chicken soup yesterday. I hate protein shakes too! It helps if I have as much food prepared the night before so in the morning there is very little preparation involved. I'll chop up all the veggies and throw them into the bowl for my salad, slice up all the fruits for my smoothie, and make sure protein is all ready, etc. It does help a lot.

Just cook dinner as usual at 6 p.m. and make it ready to go for the morning. So just pretend you are making dinner for yourself and you are eating it 12 hours later. I cook/prepare my BB at night. NEVER do I put it together on a whim. I have to get going too quickly. You have to take care of yourself. I know it feels selfish but "If mama ain't happy, nobody's happy". That's my motto.

Today I am eating earlier than usual as we have to drive into town for some appointments and run errands:

Today 6:53-7:53am:

Large ribeye steak
5 Cup mixed green salad with 4 TBSP Hidden Valley Ranch dsg (regular)
14 ounces leftover fruit smoothie from yesterday's batch
Ice cream coffee milkshake (same old recipe!)
4 smores

Maybe something else if I have enough room?....

I know what you mean. I remember you talked about the cookies at Starbuck's in the bathroom one time and at first thought it was weird but then after that time I went out for sushi, and the drive through took too long so I was out of my hour for some chocolate milkshake I was soooooo mad and totally understood! I was like "I need to have chocolate in my purse at all times!!!!" LOL From that day on I have been sure to get each and everything I want in my RM hour and not skimp because you shared about how "you have to take care of yourself." Even my hubby is starting to learn to leave me alone during my hour! LOL It is all business- especially since that is all I will eat for the day.

Sounds funny but I am very scientific about it and know the foods, the combos and ratios of protein to veggies to carbs of what I can eat and still lose and if I don't have something it upsets me! I am always shopping one or two days in advance and know my menus most of the time in advance and that makes planning for this WOE much easier.

Today I got up earlier than usual and my weight was still only 211.4 pounds!

Today's RM from 6:13-7am (didn't even want to eat for the entire hour):

24 ounce fruit smoothie with strawberries, green grapes, orange, banana, raspberries and 1 C full fat maple syrup yogurt

2 large pieces of 5 meat pizza (take and bake from Costco). I don't eat the end crust- never have and never will!! LOL

1 Cup baked Costco chicken meat

12 ounces ice cream coffee milkshake (after blending) of Extreme Moosetracks ice cream and 3/4 C half & half and a SB via.

4 Safeway bakery smores cookies

Stuffed and didn't have half the appetite I thought I would. I will have to run the calories but I swear I just can't eat as much anymore and am getting less hungry again!

Yesterday was RM only day!
