BTW my weight loss has slowed and even jumped 1/2 pound here and there but not anything compared to eating at night. I don't mind as I am eating all that I care for and more!

Funny though I got up and wanted cheese and coffee with heavy cream and splenda. And for lunch I am having steak, salad with ranch and diet mt. dew. Last week for my free day I had heavy carbs all day. I just go by how I feel. NO deprivation. Tomorrow it is back to my big breakfast only. Lovin' life! Oh, also, I was up at 4 a.m. and had plenty of energy to run and do my squats. Might even do some more later this evening as I have so much energy.
Yes speaking of energy I get more accomplished by noon than most people do all day and that includes eating! LOL

Today I cleaned house big time, all dishes put away, another load started, breakfast for me and the kids. Kitchen cleaned, 6 loads of laundry folded, entire house swept and vacuumed, kids toy room picked up and all clothes put away, etc. There is NO lack of energy around here. Later today we will be gathering up wood from our land for a fire. Yesterday with my "spare time" after walking back up from the barn I thought "what the heck" and gathered up some rocks and pieces of leftover wood from the shop my husband is in process of building and put together an impromptu fire pit on our back patio next to a new porch swing one of my co-workers graciously gave to us. We had fun with the kids doing weenie and marshmallow roasting and I wrapped a bunch of paracord bracelets, organized all my paracord ropes/colors and even wrapped bright orange paracord lanyards around a lot of our fire and camping gear for easy spotting. I can say I always have some little project or fiddling going on around here and this WOE gives me PLENTY PLENTY of energy plus no time fantacizing about food or anything like planning like when I was on weight watchers. I love it!!!

Oh my word. I used to fantasize about food and diets and what to eat for about every hour of the day. I would wake up petrified to get on the scale. My day would be ruined by a weight higher on the scale and I would be moody all day about it. Now if I see a gain it is nothing but a number. I have peace about food now and even get excited about it. I do sometimes dream about the next big breakfast and it does take some planning but it not obsessive. BTW I just got back from another jog! Gonna have pizza tonight and dessert. Going shopping at Costco to get some of the coupon deals for my breakfasts this week. The kids love sample Saturdays! LOL!

I know it. I was never the type of girl who cared if I was fat or not. I was always buxom and got plenty of attention but I think the main issue actually came from my mother who always had to tell me how fat I was getting and who was always on a diet herself. I remember before her wedding to my step-dad how she only ate one piece of toast, one boiled egg, and one head of iceberg lettuce a day to lose weight for the wedding. She got down to skeletal thin and at least can always have her wedding pictures and honeymoon in a pink bikini but I have never been obsessive like that!

But, I do know over the years I have been frustrated at my attempts and totally bought hook line and sinker that I had to plan out each and every calorie, and that I just wasn't on a diet if it wasn't extreme calorie reduction or just plain crazy and if I wasn't planning every meal, bite, etc. That is such a lie that we tell ourselves!

I cannot wait for the day when people are told with a blood test what type of metabolism they have and the best way to eat high calorie and still lose is for them! I know there are folks who can eat carbs all day and still lose and there are others who have to go totally paleo but then there are those of us in the middle who literally are killing ourselves slowly by eating and metering carbs out all day long and that is wrong wrong wrong for those of us with hyperinsulinemia.

Sure, I do get bummed to think I won't be having glasses of wine each night in front of the fireplace but now I am armed with the knowledge that eating this way controls my insulin release and I will be alive healthier and probably much much longer now AND I can still have plenty of the foods I love and not feel deprived. It is a switch off from chewing gum and sipping ice mochas all day long and having wine with dinner to eating one large breakfast but after almost a year now of getting into the groove of things I have totally changed my eating habits and I know how I feel and how I look is a validation that what I am doing is right for my body.

So true, MIW. I too get bummed thinking no more dinners but then when I have had them after going on BBD, I feel so drugged in the morning. I truly do feel better eating earlier and getting rid of the drive to eat is so worth it. I felt like an addict and thought there was something wrong with me when I would eat with people who could stop at one sandwich and drink and I was ready to eat all of mine plus theirs and more and not desiring to stop. So all that to share my free day today. Woke up at 5 a.m. and ran. Then I had my 4 oz. cheese, coffee with HWC and splenda. Lunch was smallish pc. of steak and a salad doused in ranch. I was not hungry until around 6 p.m. and then I had to make myself eat but I ATE. I had 3/4 of a DiGiornos supreme pizza and 2 ice cream bars and a diet soda. I am NOT hungry and will probably have a later brunch BB tomorrow. Love the day and it was nice to eat dinner but I am ready to go another week on plan. Love this.

Well, I was up a little today. That sausage I had yesterday was pretty high in sodium so I will blame that

Todays BB was:
Coffee & cream, grilled cheese (with pesto, fresh mozzarella and fresh basil) cooked in butter, large salad, 2 slices cake.
I'm betting this was not balanced enough since there was very little protein. I hope it keeps me full.

Hope everyone has a great day!

You might find that you will get hungry again. It does happen and usually twice a week I pay for it later. Just eat again but make it protein only or with some low carb veggies. Like string cheese, a piece of meat, some celery sticks or meat with another salad, boiled eggs, etc. You will still lose weight even if you eat again later!

Twice if not 3 times this week (TOM) I got hungry later in the day and just went ahead and ate. 2 days was just snacks, one day was a HUGE hunk of fatty pork roast and 2 cans of string beans with butter!!! I always make sure to rinse the canned veggies well due to all the sodium and even still, this week I was my lowest weekly average so it does work!

I'm back on the BBD. Once you get used to eating early, you definitely wake up hungry. Today's meal: salad with Caesar; large portion stir fry; quesadilla with guacamole; yogurt with berries and nuts; homemade lc ice cream; part of a lc chocolate bar.

That totally seems like too much food! TOM so I can't judge by weight right now.

Yesterday I didn't eat enough early and ended up with a too big dinner, too. Like I said, TOM!

Sharing this again with a bit more details about my weight loss and how TOM can affect weekly avg and how my changing my large meal to breakfast really made a difference and I believe it changes the hormonal reasons we store fat and retain water. DEFINITELY I am a believer now in eating carbs and large meal earlier in the day:

Week 43- 215.4 215 215.8 X X 214.2 214.2 (214.92) -0.59

Week 44- 212.6 213.4 213.2 214 215 X 215.8 (214) -0.92

Week 45- 215 215.2 X 213.2 213.2 214 214.8 (214.23) +0.23

Week 46- X 214.4 215 216.6 217.8 216.4 214.2 (215.73) +1.50.………(214.72) -1.23 lbs
(Above 2 weeks examples of my split-week gains from TOM)

Week 47- 215.2 216 X X 215.8 214.6 214.6 (215.24) -0.49
(Somewhere in here I started eating RM for breakfast and the weight is coming off even faster and I saw the LOWEST gain ever for being on TOM!!!)

Week 48- 213.6 214 215.4 213.2 213.2 215 214.2 (214.09) -1.33

Week 49- 213 211.8 212 212.2 213 212.4 213 (212.49) -1.60

Week 50- 212.8 212.6 212.6 212.4 212.6 212.8 212.6 (212.63) +0.14.…(213.61)-1.11 lbs

Week 51- 212.4 212.8 212.4 212.4 212.6 212.2 212.2 (212.43) -0.20
(Week 50 and 51 example of split-week TOM and ONLY gained 0.14 pound???)

Today got up and ran and then had a later than usual brunch BB. You sort of feel like you have a hangover after not eating dinners and then having a free day but it was still fun. I had 2 mango, raisin bagel loaded with cream cheese, 2 pc. summer sausage, 2 oz. cheese, 3 chocolate chip cookies (big ones) and coffee with cream and splenda. Remember you don't need to eat low carb chocolate and ice cream. I noticed some are doing that. You get to eat the real thing on the BB diet!

Tomorrow I am going to have a Yoplait smoothie, bacon and eggs, raisin bagel with cream cheese, cookies, coffee with HWC.

I am thinking a ribeye, my breakfast fruit and yogurt smoothie, my coffee and ice cream milkshake, a big salad, maybe a hershey's bar or some other chocolate and some cookies.

Jones how did your day go? Did you make it through? I know I had to force myself to eat more protein today as I started with a mango and bagel with cream cheese. I was full but knew that that glob of cream cheese wouldn't be enough protein to get me through the day so I added the sausage and hard cheese. Tomorrow is ribeye, salad with ranch, ice cream. I am going to run after school as I do every day. I am at 109 today. Still holding salt from Saturday's pizza I am sure and the free day.

I don't know about you guys but I don't think I can function without breakfast anymore . Yesterday I had to wait until brunch and got dizzy and famished. I felt a bit faint.

I di finally make it throu the day yesterday. After I ate some sausage and celery with dip, I seemed to settle down a bit.

Today I had:
1/2 boneless chicken breast (fried), 3 chicken enchiladas, sour cream, guacamole, large salad, 1/2 pt ice cream with 3 cookies, Coffee and cream and dt rite.

After all that, I'm feeling a little hungry this afternoon. I think it must be hormonal since TOM is just around the corner. Normally, that meal would carry me til the next morning but I'm not nearly as hungry as yesterday. I'm pretty sure I can just drink some water and make it thorough the rest of the evening.
Hope everyone is having a great day!

Woke up at 3:00 starving this morning. Went ahead and had my BB.
I had a bit of a carb heavy BB this morning, but I'm just craving junk due to monthly hormonal swings, I guess.
I had:
Coffee and hwc, dt rite, French toast sandwich, spoon of biscoff, 2 mini Hershey bars, sugared pecans, ice cream and 3 cookies.

Oriana, I was up .2 yesterday and .2 today but i know it's just water weight leading up to TOM. Sometimes it's just no fun being a girl. I do not plan to eat again if I can help it. But I may eat around 3 if I'm already hungry.

Funny, every morning I eat so much and I think, Today's the day I blew it and I'll surely gain. But nope!

QUOTE]

I know I felt the same way almost every week for the last year but seeing my log with the weights just going down down down even as slow as it has been there is no denying it works! Do not give up! As long as you are not hungry and can eat awesome food and lose do not go back to the "classic" diet mentality where you have to starve, restrict calories and food groups. That is just flat out wrong! High calorie weight loss really is a reality for many people. Some can lose weight way faster than me but I don't care. I took me years to put on the weight and I bet I will lose it all in under half that time even at this slow a rate of 1/4 pound a week but I tell my husband almost daily that I a not cutting a single calorie or food or am I suffering and being hungry constanlty AND the weight is just falling off slowly on it's own!

Plus you might find for TOM that it is 2 steps forward, 1 step back with gaining/losing but the weight should consistantly be lost from month to month. That is why I also do monthly average weights because with as slow as my weight loss has been sometimes it takes looking at it in longer chunks to really see the impact. That is why weekly weigh-ins wouldn't be as accurate for me to see and I totally respect doing the daily wts AND measurements otherwise I might have thrown in the towel a long time ago if I was just looking for a crash diet to drop 20 pounds.
