My second day went "OK", could have made better food choices and stay a bit lower with the calories...still better than a full blow-out I guess Hoping for a better day today...

Good Morning Fellow Posters!

Ok, I'm up a pound, but understandable as last night I did a One 15 minute Mile Walk with Leslie Sansone using one of her YouTube videos. I was very very careful and moderated some of her moves due to hips, but it was a very effective workout. Going to do it again this morning so maybe it'll kick in my metabolism early. OTOH, my leg muscles seem bigger so that may keep my weight up.

Hey!

Thank you for all the good wishes. I know this first whoosh of losses is just the beginning water weight loss, but it feels good to be going down!

I am not having a very good food day today... Tomorrow I could be back up, but I will hopefully be better with my food choices tomorrow.

Yes, wukong, I probably should change my goal, but I am afraid.
I think this first 4.8 is just water and I can't have much of that left. I will have to start losing real weight... I hope I can keep it going.

Joannew and rgr8e...Glad you enjoyed the lemon water links. I'm also going to start it - as soon as I get my tush to the grocery store.

I mentioned a week or so ago that if I got stuck at my low or there-abouts, I was going on the 17 Day Diet. Well, I'm getting the book from the library to check it out. Dr. Moreno's food plan also starts the day with lemon water.

The Diet isn't all that different from eating Low-Glycemic Index WOE, just stricter for 17 Days and then moving on to the next phase. Oh, it is different in-so-far as more protein instead of carbs. And it's different from Atkins as it's low fat plus can eat fruit and yogurt (before 2:00 )

I put a hold on the book so don't know when I'll get it, but I'm sure sometime early next week.

Not sure why I dropped so much in a day but I'll take it. Not sure how much this has helped me but since I've started I've been taking 500mg of L-carnitine supplements which helps the body produce energy from fats. The body makes it naturally but when dieting may not get enough of it.

I had a slight calf tear running and researched a bit and found L-Glutamine helps prevent this. Again the body makes it naturally but if dieting the body may not make enough so am going to add some of this to my morning smoothie.

Maryann congrats on maintaining while being a way

...You never mentioned taking those supplements before. May pick some up, but not sure that's my problem. I'm beginning to think I retain water because my bod seems to be repairing itself all the time either from hip issues or exercising. I'm beginning to think "ole' age maybe needs more repair time. Hope your calf tear heals fast!

Decided to just pick up ideas from 17 Day Diet - like adding yogurt and the lemon water. Did some more googling and found it strange that there are only mostly old Forums around. Seems to me if that WOE eating was really successful, there would be more out there. Also read too many complaints of being hungry for three days until the program kicks in. Don't like being hungry.

APRIL GOAL To work my way back down as close as possible to my lowest weight so I can actually start losing real weight again!
