Did a 5 day one about two weeks ago. Lost 8 pounds give or take.
Lots of bacon, eggs, mayo and canned chicken. It's critical you watch your calories. One day I bumped up to about 1600 calories and the weight loss stalled. My sweet spot was about 1200-1400 cal. I also had a really hard problem getting to 90% fat. The best I could manage was 86% one day. GL |

NOt a success story here.
I tried it, but couldn't make it past one day. All that grease gave me stomach problems. I admit though, i was early on in my Atkins woe, having coming off the "recommende" low fat high carb regime of 25 years or so. I wonder if now that I'm used to a high fat diet if perhaps I wouldn't be able to tolerate it. I guess i'll never know because regular low carb is doing just fine. I feel great and have lost a bunch of weight. Good luck to you.

I'm using it one day a week. I don't know yet if I have success. I'm dwn 3 lb for the month, but I started the month high, so I'm curious to see what the next month brings.
This I have learned: it isn't that hard, relatively. I have a desire to eat more, but the actual hunger isn't too bad. And I do lose weight, though I put some of it back on in subsequent days. So, it shows me that my weight-loss sweet spot is somewhere between fat fast and what I do the rest of the time. That motivates me to try and find it. I feel best on fat. I half wish I could just live on an olive oil IV and not have to deal with the rest! I'd love to hear your experiences. Yvonne |
