Seems quite a few of us decided to over indulge, lol. A few times a month is no big deal, just a temporary back step on our progress forward.

I was really good yesterday and not too hungry.

Sharon- For me the shakeup seems to work. I naturally seem to carb and calorie cycle during the week. I'll have to track it but I think I do maybe 70 carbs one day and then 30-40 the next. I try and keep my calories consistent. WW has flex points that you get to use during the week that are extra though. They might add up to about 2,000 calories? So, twice a week I am throwing an extra 1,000 calories in my day.

Wukong- I agree! Enjoy it an move on. I think that if you don't have health issues and it doesn't create some sort of wild cravings that indulge days can be good. They keep me satisfied and on track. I don't really have whole days that are up though. Usually one meal, and that is always dinner. I'm trying to not demonize any food right now. I eat a ton of healthy veggies, meats and fat. I don't stress about the small % of processed junk anymore. I don't eat any diet foods at all. When I want a treat it's the real thing and I make sure it's worth it.

Good morning to everyone. I have been missing a while. Was doing low carb and doing well, but had a birthday a few days ago and got off track with my weakness, Chinese food, and gained 3# from all of that sodium.

So, I'm back to counting calories and WW points.
Looks like all of you are really doing well.
I think I will be weighing once a week. I get so bummed out when I bounce up and down with daily weigh-ins.

Wow. My huge meal yesterday didn't do much. And all those bad carbs I ate. Probably because I wasn't hungry the rest of the day. Ate at 3:30pm and only snacked on a couple tbsp of cottage cheese and couple slivers of cheese. I'll take it.

Gosh, great job everyone!

Hope...Welcome back! Weigh-in when you want to, but note we all have our ups and downs. Secret is to not get discouraged.

Wukong...You're an inspiration with your exercise and food program <- which is for you. However, I may be adding more carbs to my food program also. Problem is now I have to go shopping again.

This isn't to influence others, gals. We just have to do what works for our individual bods.

I'm glad to state that when I went to the chiropractor yesterday, they discovered I also had a dislocated pelvic bone which accounts for some of the yoga postures I couldn't do. So hope I can do better today with yoga and then in a few days add in some other exercise. Here's where Wukong has been an inspiration too. My previous doc appt fixed a back out of whack. Although I never complained on our Thread, but the exercises I did in Jan left me in a LOT of hip pain. Got so bad, I could hardly walk in the grocery store without extreme pain. I'm all fixed up now. We usually don't mention all our aches and pains - but I'm soooo happy to be fixed now and felt like sharing.

BTW, I'll usually be posting later now since doc also fixed my sleep problem, I am back to trading early in the morning.

Well, I stepped on the scale, 172.2 lbs This wouldn't be half as bad if I had went to a nice restaurant, or sit in a darn chinese buffet for 3 hours, but that is the result from dry crackers, dry bread, dry rolls...you guys get the idea...

Sharon, thanks, I know I'll be up tomorrow also as I'm about 500 calories over for the day. I had real bad news today and ate out with a friend and had a beer so expect to go up in the morning.

Erika my son made sweet bread Sunday and once I started it was hard to stop, probably had about 500 calories worth. I've cut out most of the wheat products just cause of how many calories they have in them and a recent study that says eating wheat makes a person want to eat more (something about genetically engineered wheat).

Hope to get back on track tomorrow and at least get down a pound or maybe two by the end of the week..

Wukong...You are so right about the genetically engineered wheat, actually not just the wheat, it is everything that is factory produced. For many, many years I have been saying that they put something in the food that makes us want to eat more of it and therefore put on the weight. A couple on month ago I came accross a documentary on netflix, it is called Hungry for a Change, watched it and it just confirmed my own little theory! Now if I could only pull myself together and stay away from it all...

back where I started from,not worried as I'm fasting again today and the #'s should be down again.

ERIKA-I sympathize with you when it comes to eating at restaurants I have been there several times. The weight will come off as its water fluctuation due to the sodium in in Chinese food.

Ok, that was strange. I was at least 400 calories over yesterday if not 500 so thought I'd be up a lb or so but instead am down 2lbs?? I'm figuring it must be the stress from the bad news that put my mind & emotions into overdrive that burnt up the calories. In any event it was a pleasant surprise!

I'm officially out of the 160's

I'm not used to recording my weight daily and I was starting to 2nd guess myself yesterday. I know WW works, so I'll stay the course. I'm starting to get very nice comments on my appearance, that always helps.

Some of you guys are really rock'n it! Are you doing anything different?
