Thanks for your reply!

I have also heard that training in a fasted state is a good fat burner!

I have decided that I'm not going to worry about UD's & DD's for now. I want to do Fast 5 as written and just see how I do with eating whatever sounds good at the time. My window just opened and I had lunch.....about 400 calories. The old calorie counter in me just can't let go! I'm getting a massage after work, so there will be no structured dinner time at our house tonight. I'm not sure what I'll have for my last meal of the day.

Thanks again for your helpful reply!

Melanie nice to see you're back on the downward trend!

I weighed this morning and I'm down another lb I'm now at 172.2 This weekend will be the real test; it's Good Friday and traditionally I'm suppose to eat fish and bread on that day. I'll keep my fingers crossed! Have a great evening everybody!

After 2 days on Fast 5, I am at my lowest weight so far! Made it to "onederland"! I really wasn't optimistic about weigh in this morning but was sure pleasantly surprised!

WOW do I love Fast 5!!

Okay Fast 5er's........how is your week going?

I've been to boot camp 3 days in a row and I'm exhausted. I have Plantar Fasciitis and it's killing me lately. I'm taking a couple days off from exercise to give it a chance to settle down.

Loving the Fast 5 plan! This is day 4 for me. Another weigh in on Friday morning. Fingers crossed for a lower number!

Have a good day!

Good job on the loss, Lori!

wish I had a better motivation tool for working out--there's just some days I don't feel like exercising, even though I know I need to!

Did not weigh this am and have decided not to until Monday. I feel like I've hit a major set point with these high 180's to low 190's. Not only physically, but mentally too. Like it's going to take 110% effort and I'm just tripping up over it. I couldn't keep my fingers out of the banana chips, dried fruit, kiwis and pineapple yesterday, plus been eating too many nuts and peanut butter. I need some good clean eating! Usually not seeing that # on the scale everyday is NOT good for me, but I'm going to give it a try... I'm going to report each day though, just to stay accountable! Really need to also focus on eating 1 meal and a snack instead of 2 meals with snacking in between. I just want to drop another Jean size again already... been flirting with these numbers for a few months now..

Sounds like a good plan Melanie. Sometimes that evil scale can really mess with our minds! I'm sure the next lower jeans size is just around the corner!

Hey!

Where are all my Fast 5 buddies? I'm anxious to hear how you are all doing! I'm on day 5 and having no problems. Next weigh in is tomorrow......we'll see how it's working out in the numbers game.

As far as how I'm feeling, it's great! I did go a bit overboard with spaghetti w/sweet sausage last night and felt too stuffed, but hopefully not too much damage was done.

Give us a shout! How is your week going?

I had a good day yesterday! Broke my fast at 4pm with coffee w/ HWC and good handful of raw almonds. I think I also had a slice of cheese too, haha can't remember... After my workout at about 7pm I ate dinner which was a lettuce wrapped burger w/ cheese and mayo. I also had a small salad with broccoli, cucumber, shredded cheese and ranch. Topped it all off with one more slice of cheese and that was it. YES, I LOVE CHEESE... so my window was 4-8 yesterday. I usually do close it in less than 5 hours.

So far so good today, have to admit it was weird not getting on the scale again this morning!

Thanks... I don't always manage exactly a 5 hour window, but I'm trying, and have eliminated evening snacking, which I think also helps

Oh boy.....I got home from work and DH wanted to go to the Chinese buffet for dinner. I am totally stuffed! I hadn't eaten much so far today and I think my calories are still ok, but wow.....ate way too much. All the salt in that food will make the scale spike tomorrow. I'll have to drink a gallon of water and green tea tomorrow to flush it out before weigh in at boot camp on Saturday. Sigh......

As predicted, the scale did not like the Chinese buffet! Between the spaghetti on Wednesday night and the Chinese last night, I'm up 3.5 lbs!! Now, I know I haven't gained 3.5 lbs of fat, but it's still depressing to see that gain. Today will be lots of water and green tea and keeping my calories very low.

Ugh....hope I have learned my lesson.....eating too much even when the window is open is NOT A GOOD IDEA!

Have a great weekend everyone!

Oh, I'm sorry Lori! When do you go back to weigh in again, so you can erase those lbs?! I know how you feel, my body weight fluctuates so much from day to day, even hour to hour and it's very frustruating too see a big jump up over one meal!

Good day again yesterday. Opened window at 4:00 with my coffee, handful of raw almonds, slice of cheese and since I was super tempted to eat more I had some more coffee.... Then off for a bootcamp workout at 5:30. Ate dinner a little after 7:00. I scrambled 3 eggs and ate them with shredded cheese and mayo in a lc tortilla. Also had some jalapeno cheddar suasages, those little smokie looking ones with another thicker slice of cheese. Loving this 1 lb block of Monterrey jack cheese, I'll be sad when it's gone. That closed my window at about 7:35.

My thighs are so sore from two days in a row of classes with a lot of "thighwork"! Today is a Powerhouse class and I hope I can make it through all the jump squats and lunges that I'm sure they have planned...

Our final boot camp "challenge" weigh in is tomorrow morning! Not much time to erase the damage from the Chinese! Sigh.....not a big deal as I know I won't be winning the challenge anyway. No matter the final weigh in result, I've done very well and most importantly, I've started working out regularly. I've signed up to continue going to boot camp for another year. It is the hardest workout I've ever done, but I love it! It's different every day....a true total body workout.

Anyway, drinking lots of water and tea today. Hope the scale goes down a bit by tomorrow morning!

I know what you mean, after over 2 months of working out at the gym doing classes like boot camp, I am totally hooked now, I love it! Yes, I still have moments when doing things like burpees and mountain climbers when I think, "what in the heck was I thinking coming here again", but I'm becoming addicted to it... Now if I could just get all the fat off that is covering these nice little muscles I'm developing...

Are they going to have another challenge? You could continue with that. Challenges are soo motivating!

Whew! 3 of the 3.5 "Chinese" pounds are gone this morning! I should be guaranteed at least a 20 lb loss for the "Transformation Challenge" at boot camp this morning. Also anxious to see how many inches I've lost.

Had a good Fast 5 day yesterday. Broke my fast with a protein shake at 2 and then just ate a small amount at our Grandson's birthday party. No cake, but did have 1 slice of pizza.

Made the mistake of talking about Fast 5 and got all kinds of opinions. "Oh! That's SO unhealthy!" Sigh...... Whatever.

Have a good Saturday!

Final boot camp Transformation Challenge numbers:
Began Jan 5, ended today March 30.

Total pounds lost: 24.6
Total inches lost: 14.25"

I've only been doing Fast 5 for a week, so I'm anxious to see how this WOE will help me lost more pounds and inches!

We won't find out the winner of the challenge till next week, but I know there were women who lost more than I did. No worries....I'm quite happy with my progress!

I've had a super busy weekend and am just now finding the time to check in...

Friday was for the most part a good day, only negative was we went out to eat at a seafood buffet, granted we only do that once a year, so yes I did eat way too much. I opened my eating window at 4:00 with coffee and some almonds I believe. Got to the restaurant at 5:00 and ate, I picked low carb items and had a salad, but I'm sure there were some sneaky carbs in there and alot of salt! Technically my window would have been closed by say 6:15, except for a cup of coffee w/ creamer that I had at a friends house at about 10:15.
I had to cancel my 5:30 powerhouse workout that was scheduled, becuase of going out to eat...

Saturday was a good day. I made a trip to Lowes and lugged around all sorts of lumber and 80 lb bags of concrete mix, so I got a little exercise.. Wasn't able to open my eating window till about 6:00... I had chicken/veggie soup, coffee, almonds, cheese and yes some natural peanut butter, but I didn't feel as if I went overboard. Window was probably closed at about 10:00.

I'll go ahead and report for today. Opened window at 4:00. Had more chicken/veggie soup, almonds, cheese, tad of peanut butter and a low carb tortilla with melted cheese in it. Just closed my window now at 7:20.

Tomorrow is my big weigh in and measurement day. I'll admit that I just peeked at the scale after getting out of the shower and am not happy with the number I saw... We'll see what it says in the morning, I guess. I'm also going to use a Ketosis test strip thing in the morning to see what it says. If it says I'm not in ketosis and I have a bad weigh in that could be insightful. If it's positive and I have a bad weigh in, who knows... I mean it could be too much salt from the seafood and the soup, but the seafood will have been 4 days ago! I only peeked at the scale cuz I thought I was going to get a good number, been feeling skinny today...

Just frustrated because I've been stalled pretty much since I started working out in January, but I've been dieting too so how can that completely stall me? Look at Lori, she doing about the same workouts as me and she's lost 24 lbs since then?!

At this moment reaching goal just feels hopeless!
