Are you a big fan of BPC, Star? I must admit I am not. I can NEVER get through an entire cup, so I came up with the idea of doing them in shots (30ml) sporadically throughout the day whenever I have a "Must-Have-Carbs" moment. Sounds silly I know, but it got me through yesterday.

I went out to eat for bfast this morning. And I'm proud how well I did.
I piled the plate with porkchops, bacon, sausage, I wanna say ground chuck, and eggs. to drink was a diet coke. I hope my being good will reflect on the scale tomorrow morning. We will see.

Nice job NAF! Well done I personally have a love/hate relationship with the scales...I love them because they make me accountable every day and allow me to see if I'm consistently doing something right or wrong....and I hate them, well, because they make me accountable every day and allow me to see if I'm consistently doing something right or wrong!!! Your meals are looking nice and clean and hopefully that will assist in your continued weight loss

Happy losing everyone...

Mae, NAF, Lilbeetle, and Tashydoll, thanks for the warm welcome! If it's easier, you can call me Amy.

Good job with your menu, NAF, and with the weight loss!

Okay, here is mine:

7/1 - 210.5
7/2 - 209 (lost the wedding shower weight gain from Sunday, yay!)

Today's menu:

B - 3 strips of bacon, 1 hb egg w/ 1 T mayo, 1/2 t. mustard
L - 1 chicken thigh and 1 wingette roasted w/ 1 T bacon grease
D - 2 eggs scrambled in 1 T butter, 5 oz. hamburger w/ 1 T mayo

Snacks - 1 BPC w/2 T cream, 1 T DaVinci ameretto syrup, and pinch of pumpkin pie spice
Sparkling Ice Grapefruit (sf sparkling water)

May repeat the BPC if I'm really, really hungry. I found last night around midnight I was so, so hungry, so I got up and drank 2 T of cream, which actually helps me sleep. . .

Which brings me to a question: If I find myself terribly hungry, do you think it's a good idea to do a tablespoon or two of cream, or should I try and suffer through it? Any suggestions?

Hi again Amy... great work on your loss!

I find if I'm hungry I should eat... maybe if you have a boiled egg before you go to bed it might help eliminate your midnight cravings?? I must admit that I've never been a midnight snacker but have gone to bed without dinner a couple of times before and woken up super hungry in the wee hours of the morning... a half a dozen almonds or a slice of cheese sorted me out, but not good for m&E What is the latest time you are eating in the evening; maybe it's too early and that's why you're hungry??

Only decided to do this since arriving at work so already have non M&E food planned for today but with the exception of some cheese it's pretty close.

Weight
01/07 - 216.5lbs
02/07 - 215.5lbs

Todays menu
B - Frittata made with cheese and bacon bits
L - Tuna and mayo
D - Frying steak and 2 fried eggs
S - If needed some pistachios, from tomorrow will do boiled eggs as snacks and drop the cheese from breakfast

Keep up the good job everyone!! xx

My version isn't the official recipe, I just have about 2 teaspoon full of coconut oil and some double cream. Whisk it up and pop it in my insulated cup and sip it on the way to work. Keeps me full most of the morning. I get up at 5.45am and the first thing I eat after my coffee is a snack around 11am.

Stats today. Dropping quickly as my body is pretty much like a newbie to low carb after having a few weeks off from low carbing.

Weight
01/07 - 216.5lbs
02/07 - 215.5lbs
03/07 - 214.4lbs

I agree, if I find myself hungry before bed I have a boiled egg with some mayo to dip it in. I tend to keep a few in the fridge still in their shell and I know I can just grab one. The protein and fat is really filling. I find if I am craving something sweet, having a boiled egg seems to kill the craving for me too.

Hey Lilbeetle,

I have also being doing green tea. I add the CO to each cup which keeps me satisfied until the next meal. The only problem I have with CO is that since I keep it refrigerated, it is very hard to extract from the container. Otherwise, it is good stuff. I even cook with it to juicy up the meats.

It stands for 'Bulletproof Coffee.'

There are many threads about it here on the site and there are different ways people go about making it but the jist from what I have learned about it is as follows:

step 1:you take your coffee of choice
step 2: add some sort of fat [usually butter or coconut oil and heavy whipping cream]
step 2: (optional/mandatory depending how you like your coffee) add a no-calorie sweetener of your choice

some people froth it, some people blend it, some people just make it directly in the mug/cup they are drinking it in. . .but as I said there are many different "recipes" for it.

Yup, that is definitely bullet proof stuff...especially if using butter! I bet it keeps you satisfied between meals.

Going to find the new July thread and start posting the daily results in there but in the meantime here's Wednesday's numbers and feedback...

Just got off the scale and it stayed the same. Well, let me be completely honest. I stepped on at 8:30 (I try to do it at the same time everyday I weigh and it said I had a +0.4 gain. As soon as I stepped off I had to use the restroom (I don't know why people are concerned with constipation on M&E I find myself going just as often if not more while on this diet). I wanted to see if that 'movement' caused any movement on the scale, and sure enough I had flushed away that +0.4 gain. How funny...how cool...how kinda gross. LOL

Anyway..... here's the recap:

Saturday: 6/29- First weigh-in in years and initial starting weight.
Sunday: 6/30- +2.5lbs (went to BK saturday; big No-No )
Monday: 7/1- -3.6lbs (walked 4 miles Sunday; and went back to M&E, plenty of water, and 2 small cups of my HWC + Torani vanilla sf syrup creation)
Tuesday: 7/2- -1.0lbs (down a whole even pound. Did BPC shots yesterday throughout the day Monday and had 2 servings of my hwc and vanilla syrup. scrambled eggs at EVERY meal and ground beef or chicken (sometimes both) at Lunch, Dinner, and snacktime.
Wednesday: 7/3 Stayed at the same weight. (This surprises me seeing that I went out to a restaurant for bfast. I did try my super best to be good though. I also had 4 tablespoons of peanut butter. There's just some things I have to have from time to time to keep me sane. And I don't regret it because my weight is the same as it was Tuesday. )

Game plan today is to be A+ good and clean with my eating today so that when I head out to see family tomorrow I can have a few carby things with no guilt.

Amazed at the loss really. I went out last night to catch up with an old friend I hadnt seen in 6 years and had 2 bourbons and coke zero. Normally alcohol makes me retain water.

I dont drink green tea, cant stand the stuff, or nay of the herbal teas I've tried. I just drink plain old ceylon tea, with HWC, no sweetener. I have 3 cup a day, but my cup is a 12oz just to ensure I dont dehydrate

Hi guys! I posted in July m/e thread but I thought I should introduce myself here. I lurk on this thread sometimes, so here I am ready to commit.

I will be starting tomorrow. I used m&e fast previously with great results. Right now I am coming off a carb binge and need to get back on LC train and I know that eating meat and eggs works beautifully. I am also doing JUDDD so after a day or two will be incorporating JUDDD with m&e. Will post my starting weight tomorrow.

Thanks for the advice, Tashydoll and Stardust. I eat my dinner around 5:30 or 6:00, so I do tend to need a little something before bedtime. I have to say, I'm happy with the results so far, though will do regular induction tomorrow, since it's the Fourth of July. We've got some beautiful steaks for grilling tomorrow--yay!

Okay, for today's stats:

7/1 - 210.5
7/2 - 209
7/3 - 208

Today's menu:

B - 1 1/2 strips of bacon, 2 hb eggs w/2 T of mayo and 1/2 t mustard

L - 5 oz hamburger w/1 1/2 slices of cheese and 1 t of ranch

D - 6 oz pork chop w/1 T of mayo, 1/2 t mustard, 1 pkt. of Truvia

Snacks - Sparkling Ice Kiwi (sf sparkling water) 1 coffee w/2 T cream, DaVinci Amaretto syrup 1 T, and pinch of pumpkin pie spice

Your menu sounds great rural girl. I went hardcore with the hard-boiled eggs today too. I had at least 4 of them today I know. I'm hoping it will contribute to a decent loss tomorrow morning.

My 5 days of M&E are up and the daily weigh-ins have been reviewed and tally-ed. This week I lost 3.8lbs.

I must admit that that is pretty impressive. Esp. when the most work I did this week was walk 4 miles. I am heading out soon for a few days to see family, but I'll do my best to keep it M&E while there.

Things I've noticed during this round of M&E:
-I hate the fluctuations! Hate them, hate them, hate them.
-Cheese is a staller for me. Days that I used it/had it in my menu were the days with the biggest gains/there was no loss.
-Last but not least, I learned that M&E REALLY DOES WORK. Again, keep in mind I'm one of those 'visual-learner types.' It's not enough to say "I lost weight doing M&E" I got to see the data and the numbers and menus to back it up.

Sorry for the long, drawn-out monologue this morning but just wanted to make sure I shared it all. See you all in the July M&E thread.

Back to M&E today.

Ok, I've been working on a reciepe for a few weeks and I have finally perfected it. Its prolly ok for M&E, but I tend to have it on my 3 'down days'. I adapted it from a couple of other reciepes that I could never get to work for me.

Lil's Homemade Wraps
4 eggs
125gm ricotta (anykind, I just get whatever is cheapest)
2T physllium husks
garlic powder or any savory flavourings you like

Beat together. Pour batter into pan, cook side A, then loosen and flip to cook side B. Cook in 1t oil in 1/4c amounts, they resemble pancakes more than a crepe in thickness. The physillium husks will thicken the batter the longer it sits, so thin it down as required with 1T water. I get 4-6 depending on the day You definatly need to reoil the pan between each one.

Depending on what nutritional guideline you follow, they are either zero carb, or less than one carb each. Fill with what ever and roll. my favouring is chicken sausage, avocado, lettuce, grated cheese, mayo and relish. MMMmmm
