Hello Everyone! My parents came to visit me last week from California and we had a blast! I'm up again! I regained the 4 pounds I lost. No surprise there, willpower was super low. So once again, here I go. I can't wait till I finally lose the urge to eat SUGAR, again. Just, wanted to check in and say hello. Okay, off to do my Tracy Anderson DVD.

I have still been reading the posts and dropping by but am not doing M&E for a bit as I am having trouble staying on it at the moment. Will definitely be doing it again but just waiting a few weeks. Am having success just doing normal LC and monitoring my intake of PCF more closely...but it's sloooooowwwwww

Have a great day everyone....

Sounds great, Tashy...actually really great since your next M/E fast will give good, fast results. Every day I tell myself this is the LAST day for me on M/E, but then I wake up and start all over again...like Groundhog Day lol. But, I'm not going anywhere fast -- really just sort of maintaining but I think I could do that on regular LC. I've been exercising more, too, so now I'm sore and grumpy lol.

Oh, lordy, Natosha my whole reason for doing this fast was to avoid counting calories lol - I'd be so lost with counting. I don't even count carbs, really, since I just figured sticking mainly with meat and eggs would keep those low enough for me to lose.

Last week my grocery store had avocados on sale 4/$1 and I've been having one a day in addition to my meat and eggs (NO idea how many calories lol) -- this morning I weighed my lowest so far, 137.2 - not bad, not great but 4 mos. ago my t-shirts were X-large and now I can wear all my old 'mediums' yay! Some days I think I'm hungry but mostly it's psychological, I think. I eat 3 or 4 deviled eggs (my fave) when that happens and make detailed notes of the 'pain and angst' in my journal lol. I figure if I'm ever tempted to revert to my old ways I can always read those notes to bring me back to sanity.

Hang in there - eat all the meat and eggs you want and drink tons of water!!!

Natosha - I'm super sensitive to salt, too. The only way I've found to combat the bloat from it is to drink a minimum of 60 oz. of water or so daily. It seems to work for me (more, of course, is even better). It's not always convenient (out and about running errands - no acceptable 'facilities' nearby). And this past week I've noticed some flats that were loose on me are now fitting tight -- my wedding band is leaving a mark on my finger -- my eyes are puffier than usual when I wake up in the mornings.

I (kind of) try to watch my salt intake, but won't eliminate it from my diet (I think we need at least some salt?), plus I think there are other foods that cause bloat that we need to watch out for.

I've been thinking of trying Jillian Michaels' detox drink (google it) for bloat -- did a little research and I didn't see much negative to worry about.

Here's a good thread that I found that reveals other foods besides salt that can cause bloat (good to know for when we end our fasts)..

Foods that cause Bloating

Stay with it! You're doing great and the water-weight will eventually disappear.

Haha LOVE the photos showing muscle vs. flab and weight differences! Motivates me to keep exercising! (I soooo would not mind being 14 lbs. heavier to look like the 3rd photo lol)!

You're not being a worry wort -- I'm guessing I'm not the only one who needs reminders to work on fluid intake! And YAY on your jeans fitting looser!!!

Closet-shopping is the BEST! When it's working, it really lifts me out of the doldrums of being 'stuck' on the same weight day after day. There's one particular pair of pants that if I ever manage to get them zipped, you'll all hear me whoop from miles and miles away!

(I think I just burned about a 1000 calories of fat trying to wriggle into the Spanx I bought to wear under my Mother-of-the-Groom dress)!!!

I love drumsticks, wings, thighs...DH keeps buying these huge bags of chicken breasts, though, so that's what I've mostly been eating on the fast. (I've actually never had wings, but think I'd like then lol).

Yesterday I had bacon and eggs over-easy for breakfast and 4 deviled eggs for lunch. Dinner was thin sliced steak stir-fried with orange/red/yellow peppers and onion and 1 cup of fresh spinach with an avocado and vinegar/oil dressing.

Late evening I was hungry (mind-hunger) and munched on a couple of celery sticks. Drank a lot of water throughout the day but not nearly enough, I don't think.

Was down a bit this morning...137 even, so still lost despite what seemed like an enormous amount of food yesterday.

Natosha: Now you have me craving drumsticks and wings lol. Thanks

Are you taking any vitamin supplements along with the fast?

My nails and hair are growing faster than usual, too, but I thought it might be all the 'B' vitamins I've added in since I started the fast.

I think the thighs and legs are similar -- both lovely dark, moist flavorful meat. Now I have mind-hunger again lol.

How long are you planning to fast, Natosha? I just calculated and at my current loss ratio (averaging about 1/4 lb. per day for the past 53 days) I should be at goal (125/126) on July 4th! That's just 3 days before our son's wedding, so maybe I'll fit into my dress lol.

Slow & steady...

i never was a sweet carb lover ..i'd say a plate of

roasted chicken(my fave) and buttery veggies like cauliflower

lol

but i do enjoy
but avoiding salt

lol

however i think in away from this fast heading to

maybe rely on cup veggies and might add back dairy or try new things like nuts lol

been thinking the nut thing tho '

like i'm all for animals and bi-products (dairy)

curious i use to have

nut butters/ nuts
soy milk= wonder about almond milk
i use to love carbquik like made biscuits easily so buttery too

made good pancakes too!

lol

sorry dreaming out loud of ideas

Natosha: Good job!

Changing up the variety on this WOE is essential, I think. I bought a bag of sliced almonds the other day, but too chicken to open them yet.

And...I was worried about adding that one cup of fresh spinach w/dinner. But...my body seems to like it and after I added it, I started losing again. Coincidence? Who knows, but I'll take whatever works lol.
