Phase - thanks for replying. Your plan pretty much mirrors mine, even though I've been looking at various other plans here on the forums. I think if I switched, Stillman's would be a possibility. Still have 8 more days on M/E so a few more days to think on it.

Lori - thank you I just figured it out and (if my math is right) I'm averaging a little less than 1/2 pound a day. I'll take it!!! It doesn't hurt that I really do like bacon, eggs over easy and deviled eggs (yum my favorite)!!!

I started walking a few days ago...listening to an audiobook on my iPod makes it less boring. Just 20 or 30 minutes at a time to start (baby steps) lol.

Morning all!
Wow LoriAS! You're inspiring me to add in some exercise! I've been scared of the idea but it really seems to be working well for you and I know it's good for our bodies.

I worry about that too. The good Doctor has people add back 5 grams of carbs a week when climbing the ladder I think so I may try that.

Yep and kind of kicking myself for not adding in at least some walking from the start. My problem is I hate, hate exercise unless it's something fun like dancing or tennis but I'm going to keep walking even if it kills me (I have a GOAL!) LOL.

I need to work on that mentality. I drink coffee every morning on our patio. I see that it needs sweeping. Do I get up and sweep it? No. I wait until company is coming and THEN go out and sweep it. (See, there's that GOAL thing again).

Actually, the walking is getting better with a good book. Just hope I don't get so involved in the book that I walk into the path of a car or something

3pupsmom (cute name!) sounds like you're on the right path. Love your menu - I never even thought about wings! One of the hard parts for me is the monotony, but my fault for not trying to be more creative. I peeked in the recipes forum (big mistake lol) and might try those Heroin wings - almost zero carbs? Yum!

Keep on keeping on - you're doing great!

Been stuck at 141 for 3 days now, but I think the whoosh to 140 was because I had zero appetite the day before and mainly just sipped water all day. Mini goal to get into the 130's by the weekend and going to try longer, faster walks to see if that'll help. Hope, hope.

Have you tried Zumba? I absolutely LOVE Zumba. I've have found each class I attend everyone (all shapes, sizes and ages) are very fun and non-judgemental. It has been sooo much fun. I do not get to go that often currently because I have two children in sports (track and baseball) and am attending sporting events 5-6 days a week!

Lori - is this what you do? It looks like a ton of fun! I could even do this from home - just fire up the video lol. It reminds me of the aerobics classes I used to go to when our son was really little. Then when he got in school I joined a tennis league - so fun and never had to worry about weight with all that exercise.

Says it's a 'beginners' class...sure looks like they're all enjoying it!!

What do you think about cream cheese pancakes for breakfast (if you decide to include cheese on your fast). Just 1 egg 1 oz cream cheese and maybe a 1-2 teaspoon of HWC. Should be ok right?

ss1 - I'm no help because I haven't tried it. The most I've added is a small amount of minced onion or peppers to make some of my meat more palatable.

It's really ironic because right when I started the fast, our son sent DH a 'cheese-of-the-month' gift for his birthday and we're now drowning in all kinds of yummy looking cheese (including a ton of goat cheese which I have no idea what to do with)!

More experienced members will be along to weigh in with their experiences, so keep checking in.

Edited to add: Some here are including HWC in their coffee and losing well, not sure about cream cheese, tho.

Hi ss1, This should be ok, I would think, if you are including cheese in your fast I personally steer clear of cheese/cream cheese because it stalls me but I find HWC & CO ok. You do need to have quite a bit of fat in this diet and it just depends on your own body as to how it handles certain products.

Sorry I have to chime in here Let me tell ya, exercise helps the process along soooooo much more. Plus it increases your energy levels and you just feel, well, really good (I love endorphins ) I try to do something at least 4 times a week for between 30 to 45 mins and I feel so much better for it... good luck all

Thanks, Tashydoll. You and Lori make a world of sense and the thought of slightly faster losing is plenty of motivation for me. I'd eventually like to get to the point of making it a regular part of my routine, dieting or not. DH goes to the gym regularly and would no more think of skipping it than he would of brushing his teeth (and he brushes 3 times a day lol). He's got a lot of will power, tho.

Beth - That is it! You can find tons of Zumba videos online. I have not watched the entire videa all the way through, but when I use one from online, I do like to watch it all the way through before I use it.

Good luck to you!

I think the weight increase is from the JM 30 day shred. I have had quite the muscle burn on the last to videos and I believe my muscles are retaining water as they repair themselves!

I have one more run day tomorrow and then a rest day on Friday. I'm thinking Saturday I will have a nice drop! I'm looking forward to it!

Had a great meat and egg day yesterday. Well, really just meat...bacon, wings and taco meat!

Hi everyone! I've had a little time away from LC but just discovered I have PCOS which makes sense to me now why LC seems to be the only way I can lose weight! I'm going to try a bit of meat and egg to get in to ketosis quickly if I can. I am thinking I might then regularly do Mon - Fri as meat and egg (when I am working and need quick easy meals) and do regular LC on a weekend (when I have more time to cook some scrummy low carb meals).

The plan is just to weigh once a week on a Friday, so I don't get dissapointed seeing any water weight from the weekend of non ME.

Well will see how it goes! Good luck everyone, you all seem to be doing amazing!!

Okay! Count me in on the fat fast. I did well and managed to lose 20 pounds in 2 months doing LC and Fat Fast. I kept it off for 6 months because I was maintenance. I then started to eat things I shouldn't have; and all of a sudden my weight kept creeping up! I gained 9 of it back. So disappointed in myself! I tried induction and only lost 2 pounds nothing is working. I added MCT oil back in and it is still up. I am stuck between 18 and 169! So I will try fat fast and hope this gets things in an up swing.

Ow Zumba! I have that for my kinect and it's a workout for sure. I may have to dust it off and get my butt moving.
Thanks Beth and good luck on your goal of hitting the 30s soon! You've been doing so well!

Stardust! I like your plan of doing M&Es through the week and eating reg lc on weekends.

Well, it's happened. After enjoying 8 days with really nice losses I woke to a big fat loss of zero. lol It's better than a gain though! It might have something to do with the hotdogs and slice of cheese I ate with my eggs yesterday since that's more processed than what I've been eating lately. It's back to chicken or fish today to see if I can sweet talk the scale into budging. Rock on Ladies!!

Aw, that's just water weight from the hot dog, Phase! (I'd kill for a hot dog LOL!). You've inspired me with your stats!

Lori - those 'beginners' on the Zumba vid rarely even take a break lol. I'm sure I'll be hitting the pause button a LOT hahaha.

Welcome to Stardust and Grainfree - wishing you nothing but losing days!

Listen to how dumb I am lol -- I saw those Ketone strips at my drugstore and picked some up. I'd read here that you can cut them in half to double the quantity, so I was puzzled when I saw that the little tester thingy was only on one end. Thought I'd gotten the wrong kind. LOLOL it was some hours later when I finally figured it out..DUH!

Anyway - appears I'm in the 'moderate' category and now I have to go read some more to figure out what that means.

I find this thread to be so informative. I cant believe I am not in Ketosis yet and it has been three weeks. I am praying that eating eggs will get me where I need to be.

Beth2013- you had me LMBO! I use the Ketone strips and cut them in half as well but almost did what you talked about the first time I bought them. The only time I can get them to be dark pink or purple now is if I take MCT oil. But, I also read that is not the true result when you take MCT oil. Is this true?
