Thanks..yes. Ever morning I have my coffee with tbs co,hwc.stieva keeps me full. So around 11 I do 2 eggs cooked in butter with hot sauce on them..I really don't want them but I no I must eat some protein plus I lose more when I eat eggs...them around 1 I have another coffee,,4-5 I have 6-8 oz meat with extra butter...again you don't get bored cause you don't get hungry you are just eating cause you no you need it for your body..theni have a coffee around 6-7
The think I like about this is I'm realy not hungry at all if for some reason I do think about food I grab a coffee...I hope this helps....I do no processed food at all..it's been this way for a week now....I used to think the hwc stalled me but now I no it's the processed food even tho it's low car..like lunch meats,bacon....I can not do cheese but some can...

Yes, I have lost with low carb lifestyles and lots of working out but still have more to lose and still battle with eating issues but def finding this WOE helps tremendously! I DEF wanna be m/e buddies! I see you post with me in another forum and congrats on your weight drop - that is so exciting!

Today started with 2 eggs fried in bacon fat and 1.5 tbsp CO at 730a and working to space meals/feedings/snacks out by 3-4 hours so will eat again 11-1130.

I'm having tuna for lunch with some mayo since I forgot my avocado at home and don't care to eat it plain LOL. I'm also having enough CO to keep my fat at 80% and goal is to hit about 80g protein today since I have one really good workout done already and one intense one to finish tonight. I'm REALLY hoping to shed 10 lbs of weight that I've put on over the last month or so with crappy eating. I think I have a handle on my eating, especially now with ketosis.

Any tips you can give or recipes that are easy, I will take 'em!

I'm hoping to see the same success you are! Do you post your daily menu with how much you eat? Do you weigh your food?

Excited for next weeks WI!

Curious how much CO you typically use daily? How much HWC? I just had my coffee yummmm used 1 oz HWC and 1 tbsp CO. Going to work on cutting back to .5oz HWC and 1.5 tbsp CO. I just love the cream in my coffee!

Hi - new here, but have been following this thread. That's just amazing. I started with M/E on 4/1 and am down 9 lbs. but it's taken me 16 days to do it. When I get discouraged, I come here and read stories like yours and others. They've definitely helped me get through the 4-day stretches with no losses, so thank you all for taking the time to post and document your experiences. I just can't tell you how helpful it is.

That is great the reason I lost this a little fast is I had gained 9 lbs in 3 weeks so most of that was water...but if I keep eating this way I will probly lose slower and steady now..don't ever give up.

I have an 'event' coming up in July that's pretty important to me (our only son is getting married). That has been my motivation to finally do something to look and feel better.

I weighed 165 on January 1 of this year and decided on that day to cut out ALL sugar from my diet. That helped a lot, plus I started watching 'portions' and instead of a whole sandwich for lunch I just ate half and usually, for dinner, I would just have a salad (I became kind of addicted to McDonalds Cesar salad w/crispy chicken). At the end of March I weighed 150 and realized that losing only 5 lbs. per month, I probably wasn't going to be where I wanted to by July. Years ago I used to be able to lose weight easily (and fast) by just eating meat, eggs and cottage cheese for a week or so, so I decided to look around online and see if that was still a good diet choice for us 'older' gals. And then I found y'all

I'm not eating any cottage cheese this time, though, and I'm not losing as quickly as when I was younger, BUT the weight is coming off a little faster than with my first plan of portion control and no sugar so I'm happy about that. Whenever I start doubting, I just come here and absorb everyone else's experiences to keep me going. I've really learned so much!!

I remind myself every day that I need to be more patient -- especially when I see those 3 and 4-day stretches with no losses whatsoever and I'm consuming practically zero carbs. One thing I've found, though, is that on those days that I'm able to drink a LOT of water, I'll almost always see a loss the next day. I love it when that happens.

Are you getting enough Fat? Are you eating excess protein?

I should probably find an online source and check that. Typically, I just eat a few strips of uncured bacon and 2 eggs for breakfast. For lunch I'll have a can of water-packed tuna mixed with a bit of mayo (1 Tbs. maybe), chopped onion and one SF sweet pickle, chopped. Dinner is a serving of meat (steak, ground beef or chicken breast so far), sautéed without extra oil with onions and a HB egg. The first few days I added 5 medium-sized Brussel sprouts (steamed) to my dinner meal, but stopped for some reason (didn't affect my weight loss I don't think). If I snack (very rare so far), it's with a HB egg. I drink a lot of green tea early in the day (probably 32 oz. or more) then follow it with lots of plain water (64 oz. or more). Also taking a multi-vitamin and a fish oil supplement.

I'm thinking of copying your menus, though, to see how that goes for a while. The way I'm eating now I have no idea as to the fat or protein amounts and haven't placed much importance on them (maybe foolishly). I thought my main goal was to keep my carbs as low as feasible so I could lose faster. That's how I always did it in the old days when there wasn't so much info as now. I'm only 5'4" with a medium frame, so I'm thinking I'd feel/look better at around 120 to 125 lbs.

I haven't used coconut oil yet, but I don't see how it could hurt much (you're doing great!), so I'll get some and try it!

I will for sure. I think I saw that someone here liked the Whole Foods brand and that's easy for me to get to, so I may try that one.

Last night I had some thinly sliced steak sautéed with orange/red/yellow bell pepper strips (maybe 1/2 cup) and about a half cup of steamed broccoli and cauliflower. Not sure if the addition of the pepper strips is what contributed to the gain -- could also have been that I didn't drink enough water. I'm thinking I need to stop modifying and get back to strict M/E fasting -- that's where I saw my best losses in the beginning of the month.

You're doing so great, Lori and your exercise notes inspire me to finally get moving and at least get out and walk a bit. I'm stuck again today at 142 so the two things I'll work on over the weekend is cleaner eating and EXERCISE!

How does everyone here store their coconut oil? My husband picked some up for me while he was out running errands and I swear I've read every inch of that jar label and it says nothing about it having to be refrigerated. Can I take that to mean it should be treated as a pantry item even after it's opened? Does it have a long shelf life? Will it eventually go rancid? How would I know if it does become rancid? My other cooking oils are pretty much odorless, but I'll throw them out when they get a kind of 'musty' smell.

Hi Beth... I'll chime in here if you like I keep mine in the cupboard (as per the recommendation on the jar). The uniqueness of CO is that it changes its form depending on the temperature... i.e. when it is cool you will notice that it is white and more solidified and when it is warm it is runny and almost clear. This is perfectly normal and does not affect the quality of the CO.

Also, as Becky mentioned go slowly at first... even though I have been using CO for a while I had too much the other day and spent about 4 hours sick to my stomach Not a fun way to spend an afternoon let me tell you!

Hope this helps. Have a great day....

Thanks, Tashy! I'm planning on a half teaspoon in my coffee tomorrow morning to start. Hope I like it. (If it helps me break this current stall, I'll LOVE it lol).
