Howdy all! I've been lurking here for weeks while trying to get motivated to stay on plan. I've been struggling for months to stick with it. I was fasting a few days a week with reg low carb but blowing it on the weekends and losing any ground I'd gained. I was inspired to give meat and eggs a solid shot in the hope that I'd gain control over my cravings. I'm happy that I've finally managed to stay low carb for over two weeks this time. lol I like the simplicity of this plan and that it knocks out my crazy carb driven hunger. I have been allowing a few days of veggies here and there. Anyway, I want to say thank you to everyone for sharing your meals and experiences! It's always a big help to me to see how others have done on a plan so I'll share my results.

Hey, that makes all the difference!

I do that, too, but I also add in berries, cheese, nuts and wine by small amounts sporadically. It's a slippery slope with me because anything can set off a craving, but I'm learning to manage it and tell the difference between craving and hunger.

The crazy up-and-downs is from eating too much cheese, nuts, and berries.

Welcome! Hahaha, the easiest way to deal with a carboholic partner - do the cooking and slowly convert them like I did It happened so slowly that he didn't even realise what was going on (so sneaky I know!) Good luck loosening the clothes

Hi ladies

Thank you.

I had to take lots of pain relief for my wisdom tooth yesterday. This morning I have 4lbs water weight gain. I felt upset. But I know I stuck to my meat and eggs. So it will be gone soon.

My menu

Often fried egg with bacon or lamb chop for breakfast. Cooked in butter with mayo.

Lunch often a omelette cooked in butter or meat and some egg mayonnaise more added mayo.

Dinner meat cooked in butter (pork, beef, lamb, chicken) and some egg scrambled in butter.

I have 3-4 coffees a day with 1 teaspoon of co in and double cream (I think that's heavy cream in America.

I also have other cups of tea and coffee with a dash of cream and tablet sweetners. When out I have black coffee.

Then sugar free flavoured water 2 litres.

Thanks Extremelypunctual and Tashydoll for the warm welcome!

I'm up .2 this morning. *sigh* I SO want to see the 50s by April 1st. My awesome sister in law brought me a case of coke zeros and I've been drinking more soda than I normally would so I'm going to cut that way down, or out altogether, and see if it helps. I know it's normal to have your losses slow down for the 3rd week so I'm just going to keep on with M&E and wait it out.

I drink several coffees a day too. It keeps me from going batty! I've just started adding CO in, like starting yesterday lol. I've read it may help with weight loss or something and I think I recall you saying you thought it had something to do with your awesome success so far? I'll have to make sure I remember to add some to my next cup! Sorry you need the pain meds!

I really feel it helps keep the want to snack at bay and helps the metabolism be a more efficient fat burning machine. This has been the easiest meat and eggs has ever been for me. I put that down to co

I had a tiny amount of steamed broccoli today. It's my 8th day of meat and eggs. With having to take strong pain relief, wanted to put a little of something else in my tummy.

So lunch was white fish fried in butter, steamed broccoli, a poached egg and a tiny amount of cheese x

Today I am getting a flu and totm. Up to 5lbs water gain now.

So I think if I carry on feeling so weak, I will have a planned 'carbs' break and get back on meat and eggs when I am feeling better (no headaches etc)

So, in the words of terminator "I'll be back!"

Fluffs, Nice work on resisting the carb up! I know how tempting it is when you're feeling badly. I hope you feel better soon!

I'm up 1.8lbs. I had some low carb icecream along with my extra veggies and cheese so I know where it came from. I'm pretty sure my bad choices yesterday knocked me out of ketosis. Tomorrow I'm going to be back to the lovely meat and eggs. I'd be back at it today but the MIL wants us over for tacos. lol

Co is coconut oil

Happy Easter and belated Passover all! I've been mum the past week, but I've still be following meat and egg even though I've been indulging in popcorn. I rationalized it away as its "real food" and could've been worse. I'm doing a fitness challenge next month though so I'm planning my meals for the week so no cheats to maximize my results. This plan is so easy to stick to

I think miracle whip has a lot of sugar in it.

I don't have any love for mayo myself so I've been thinking about subbing bacon grease in my deviled eggs. I dunno how that'll turn out, I haven't had the guts to try it yet. lol I only add mayo to up the fat content though. Or perhaps you could add some sweetener to mayo so it'll taste more like miracle whip? I've seen where some people do that.

Thanks for the quick responses, maybe I just suck it up and pick up some mayo and see how that goes. I'm really excited about this WOE and don't think it will be a problem for me to stick with since I don't really care for veggies anyway so I won't be missing those. Snacks are my downfall are pork rinds allowed if so maybe when I get the urge I can have a few of those. I have a birthday party to attend the weekend of the 19th so I plan to be good until then, and after back on until my birthday the 15th of May, hope to see a significant loss by then.

I eat pork rinds and low carb beef jerky as a snack if I want something to munch on. Some people don't though, it's just depends on who ya ask. Eat them and if you lose fine then you'll know they work for you. The ladies that have been at this longer may have some better advice for you though. Also, !!
