Good job on the losses ladies and way to go Maria!
I weighed this morning at 169.2! PTL! I am 9 lbs away from my second prepregnancy weight (24lbs away from my first prepregnancy weight I must say I really want this WOE to be my lifestyle from now on but I keep having thoughts in my head "well when I take a break I want to eat ____, or when I am done I can't wait to eat____(insert starch). Really need to get that out of my head!!! |

Gonna give this a shot for 3 days initially to see if I can find the right combo of foods to decrease hunger and cravings. I think my protein shakes are derailing me. Be back tomorrow to post starting stats.

I dropped 6 lbs of water weight early this week and have maintained for 3 days now. The weight I am on is one of my "stuck" weights. I hope to maintain it over the weekend, then try to bump off of it next week. But my son is coming home for his birthday (24 yrs), so I hope I don't blow it while he is home. The good news is that he adopted the Paleo way of eating, so I won't have to buy any mainstream groceries for him. I plan to make a Paleo blueberry crisp for his birthday. I guess I'll deviate from just meat and eggs over the weekend, then pick back up Monday. But I will only add a few veggies and a bit of my son's blueberry crisp with whipped cream. Rock on!

I am glad you are feeling better. Krissa – Good plan! Maria – I think it is all about planning. Also, I read somewhere the percentage of your success keeping your goals goes up when you write it down. Since you have done this above, you should be good to go! By the way, I would really love to chat sometime about you doing the C25K and then going on to do the ironman. This is something I have always wanted to do, but it seems like after I complete the C25K I am just too disorganize to make it to the 2nd goal (ironman).

Haven't been consistent with the combo, but I am a believer in it's effectiveness when my diet is in check. I was going to start m&e today, but am going to wait until tomorrow so that I can use up some foods today that would otherwise go to waste. Are you strict m&e? 2 whole eggs, 1 egg yolk & ham cooked in Olive Oil, Coffee with HWC Roast Beef & Garlic Cream Cheese cooking cream Pork Chops with Salsa, Lettuce & Gr Onion Salad with Caesar Dressing and SF Whip Cream I’m focusing on mainly M&E, veggies more as condiments with occasional servings here and there and keeping the fat percentage up. I think just staying mostly away from cheese and nuts have made a big difference. I also started taking Raspberry Ketones. I like the antioxidants they bring to the table with the limits I’m putting on my diet. As far as appetite control, I don’t know if it’s them, M&E alone or being sick but that seems well under control. And as far as weight loss; with being sick and eating treats the DH kept bringing me, I thought for sure I’d gain and I had a real decent loss for the week, so I’m feeling it at the moment.

I am ending the day and I am really low on my fat compared to my protein. Would y'all take a T of CO and eat an avocado, or just not worry about it? Sorry I am new to all this!"

Thanks Tash.
Some days when I add up my percentages, they don't equal 100%. I am sure it has something to do with my net carbs. Do any of you experience that? |

I never added them up before. I don't add up either (more ways than one, no doubt ). One thing I have noticed is if I multiply my fat grams by nine I don't always end up with the same percentage as the tracker I use.But I usually end up with more so I feel safe just going by the tracker numbers. Does anyone else get flustrated like I do? It seems I will lose maybe three days in a row a lb a day. Then I might have a 1 lb gain and it seems for no real reason. Then for about three or four days I bounce up and down then boom the next am you are back down to that lower weight. I just wish when i get there it wouldn't run me up and down for a day or two (makes me in a bad mood) ....it is so flustrating. When I get there I want to stay there.

HI everyone. Been lurking but have been doing some major recouping after a major weight gain...no not during the holiday...after!? I was at 142lbs in Dec. and Jan and somehow I had some carb creep and some carb bombs and I was up to 154lbs...my weight has dropped to 149lbs a couple of times but I was worried that it was really settling in over 150lbs. I have been following this link since Tuesday and, aside from 2 salads this week and some cheese (2oz) per day and a 2 glasses of wine this week it has been meat and eggs. And I might say alot! My appetite has been very "healthy" and I am averaging about 2200 calories per day. I am however happy to say that my weight dropped to 149.6lbs this morning and I have 9 lbs to goal. I tried reducing my calories but I'm worried I'll go off plan so I just ate more to kill the cravings.
What are your thoughts on Stevia? allowed? good ? stalls? My typical day: upon rising: bulletproof coffee made with 2T hnh and 1T CO bk: 3 eggs and 2oz cheese lunch: 8oz meat dinner: meat dessert: mock danish (2 eggs 2oz cream cheese 1 packet of stevia) 64oz water any thoughts? this comes our around 2200 cal

I think one of the reasons this plan seems to work for me is it eliminates some of the "legal" but possible problem foods like nuts and cheese (for me). Maybe try to go back to clean M&E for a couple days and then add one thing back and see if it’s the offender for you. Could be dairy or really anything. If you’re journaling your food look back over what you weren’t having on those losing days or maybe even not so much of. Fast food, no matter how “legal” is a bid got ya for me too. |

IT always worries me how many eggs I can eat
Upon rising: bulletproof coffee breakfast: 3 eggs with 2oz cheese lunch: 6 eggs with 3T mayo Hopefully I won't need much of a dinner. As for calories and fat, this is really good right now. I also went for a 60 min speed walk. |

Congratulations on your recent losses... I know how hard the last bit of weight is to come off so be prepared to be patient!!I know some people have problems with artificial sweetners (myself included) but I seem to be ok on a little bit of Stevia, but not everyday and not too much. I'm just looking at your menu and wondering about the cheese/cream cheese. Might be a good idea to cut out/cut back on these things for M&E to really work. This is just my opinion really because I know that these things stall me personally and I have much more success if I just cut them out whilst doing this fast I'm much better between 1200 & 1600 cals and still feel very full with this WOE.Good luck... |
