I finally made it under 171. Weighed 170.6 this morning!!! That was hard like two weeks hard...but I am about to be meeting with TOM. Do you all still weigh at that time?
Tashy, I accomplished 71fat, 24protein, 5carbs, but It made for like 1650 calories:/. That doesn't seem like a good idea, huh? I am going to post my menu: Breakfast: coffee with HWC, 1/2 avocado, 3 eggs, 1T butter, 4 thin slices of bacon Lunch: 5 hot wings Dinner: 7oz ribeye, 1T butter and 1c green beans Good job Tashy, Lori and Terri on the loss! |

For me personally it's better to be slightly higher in cals if my it means my fat intake will be around where I need it to be... and I only really take notice of my cals if the scales are not moving and then I realise I need to make some adjustments (kind of a last resort for me). I think you'll be fine where you are and maybe if you try it for a few days to a week then you will know whether it works for your body... You're back on normally l/c now aren't you or are you doing M&E?? |

We had to put a dear kitty to sleep and I imediantly fell off the wagon. Only carbs would bring comfort but I tell you, 2 days of solid eggs and chicken thighs, it was easy to get back on the band wagon. If you have had a binge and can't get straightened out, 2 days of eggs/thighs seems to get me back on track. I think it is a good tool.

Cindy -
I am so sorry to hear about your furry friend. Tashy, IELC, Terri, Krissa - Great job staying on plan! I am very happy this go around with M&E. I look forward to looking at your menus each day. Another pleasant surprise this go around is that I continue to be hungrier about every 3rd day and eat a nice HWC and cocoa treat and still lose!! Feb27: 172.8 Feb 28: 171.4 (-1.4) YAY!! Mar 1: 171.8 (+0.4) treadmill Mar 2: 168.0 (-3.8) treadmill Mar 3: 169.2 (+1.2) treadmill Mar 4: 168.4 (-0.8) treadmill Mar 5: 167.8 (-0.6) treadmill Mar 6: 166.4 (-1.4) total lost on ME so far, this time (-6.4) I was HUNGRY (after lunch) yesterday and ATE ATE ATE! You guys are all doing so great on this! I started with M&E fast just before totally falling off the wagon. I am just back in to low carb this week. I'll be keeping my eye on this thread and I am sure soon enough your excellent results will convince me I can do it too and have similar results!!

Cindy, that's very sad news for you, so sorry... pets are always part of the family.Lori, I'm very interested that you are still losing even with the flax muffin (is this a MIM recipe?) and some cheese in your M&E diet. I would really like to try that because I think it would help me feel more satisfied. Even though I don't usually feel that hungry on M&E it just feels like something is "missing". BTW, I am sooooo going to try that recipe! Thanks for sharing |

If I am making for a lunch or dinner sandwich I use: 1/3 flax meal 1/2 tsp baking powder 1-2 tsp onion powder 1 tsp garlic powder 1 egg 1 Tbsp butter melted Cook in round bowl (muffin/bun size) in microwave at 60 seconds. I usually eat the second one with pork roast or sausage burgers and cheese |

Sorry, shouldn't laugh but it seems to be a common "issue"! Coconut oil helps, but if you aren't used to it, go slow because it can "help" too much if you aren't careful ![]() Last edited by tashydoll; 03-06-2013 at 08:42 PM.. |

Hello everyone!
I thought I would chime in since I've been doing meat and eggs for a few days now. I picked up extra weight last fall and have NOT been able to get it back down or get my eating under control. The ONLY way I have ever been able to gain control in the past is to do meat and eggs. It's only been a three days and already I have whooshed down 6 lbs. (water weight, I know). If I can stick with it a few more days, I think I'll be able to get back on track. I restricted calories a bit the first two days, but last night I had a late evening meltdown and ate steak and eggs (which was fine), but I wasn't satisfied and ate an entire pound of shrimp with a TON of butter and garlic! Earlier, I had 2 eggs and steak for breakfast, ground turkey and eggs for lunch, and sipped on hot bone broth all afternoon. My weight maintained, and I think I can start losing fat now that the water weight is gone. Energy level is a bit low though.
