Had fried eggs and coffee for breakfast. Lunch will be chicken with a little mayo. Dinner will be roast.
Nothing else but water and black coffee. TOM showed up this morning. So I may not lose well the next three days but then I'll hopefully get a whoosh. Will stick to plan and wait for the whoosh. |

to everyone!!! I couldn't believe how fast this thread grew overnight.A basic meat & egg fast is just that. Unprocessed meats/fish, eggs and fats/oils. If you decided to add in any sweeteners etc, that is entirely up to you. I myself plan on having avocado's. I'll treat it as a fat but also know that I'm getting a few carbs from it. That's what I love about LCF...everyone is working towards the same goals of health and weightloss, but we also understand that we may have different ways of arriving at those goals. Do what works for you!

![]() When I was reading the old meat and egg fast threads, lots of people used cheese daily as well as cream. It just stalls some people. |

Count me in. I think I did this unintentionally yesterday, anyway:
B: Coffee with HWC L: HB egg, cheese, bacon S: Coffee with HWC D: Eggs, pepperoni, ricota Today so far: B: Coffee with HWC S: cheese, bacon L: will be HB eggs D: Going out, so maybe a steak? I'll need to check the menu I need a jumpstart, so maybe this is it! |

Ok just weighed myself.... 142!!!
![]() Down 1.5 from yesterday. That makes a total of 6.4lbs as of day 5 I'm curious to see when it will slow down and if I gain any back just by adding in a little cheese and veggies. |

The only downside I have found so far to this WOE is that my sleeping has been terrible! I'm having trouble getting to sleep and also trouble staying asleep....bouncing off the walls ![]() I take my CO in the morning, but I took my vitamins late last night. I'm thinking that may have contributed to the restless night.... I dunno, but if a restless night shows a drop on the scale like that every time, I'll take it once or twice a week! ![]() ETA: If I have leftover meat in the fridge, I may have apx 3 oz w/mayo & 2 eggs for lunch, otherwise bacon & eggs are my go-to (like today I'm having a deer brat instead of bacon for lunch) Last edited by HarmsWay; 11-13-2012 at 09:14 AM.. Dur dur. How did I not see this thread yesterday? I started a meat/egg/fat fast on Sunday.
As a veteran around here, I wanted to mention, you can adjust your meat/egg fast to your liking, just like low carb eating. It's just basically to keep your carbs to a bare minimum. So SF Jello, to me, has no nutritional value, so I would eat it (ceptin I don't like it much ). Just a tadd sprinklin of cheese if needed but not like 3-4oz like on Atkins. When I do meat/egg I use condiments and that's it besides meat/eggs/fat. Like reduced sugar ketchup, mayo, mustard, a little bit of pickle and I had barley a slice of onion on a burger yesterday. Like I said, it's to your tweaking. For example, I would consider an avocado a fat. It's good for you. But If I ate half an avocado, that would be my only carb for the day. Remember, this is all my opinion on the matter, but I know it works that way lol. Ok so today I was also not prepared, we ate all the steaks/burgers last night. So I was starrrrrrrrrrrving. I knew if I didn't stop and get some meat I would blow today. So I stopped and got a rotisserie turkey breast. I shredded it up and had a tad bit of alfredo sauce on top. Hit the spot. So my menu today will look something like:B-coffee, sweet n low L-rotisserie turkey breast w/about 1/8 cup alfredo S-coffee w/hwc/french vanilla torani D-Probably roast, unless I get to the store today, then It will be burgers and steak. Or I forgot I have some chicken tenders I can cook, maybe with bbq sauce (Walden Farms, 0 everything) Last edited by MsWoods; 11-13-2012 at 09:32 AM.. |

The first time I did low carb, I hardly ate veggies but had a select few. After a few weeks I did a meat and egg fast. It helped a lot. I lost a bunch of inches. Not sure how many but my size 7's were too big. When I stalled out on meat and egg fast, I added back in veggies. When I stalled out on the low carb veggies, I did the fast again. Right before I stopped low carbing and went back to my old habits, I had lost a ton of inches. I never weighed, but I kept saying I was about 160. Thinking about it now.. I was very close to the size I was at 145. I remember my ex kept talking about how skinny I had gotten.
But anyways I might try this again. You will definitely crave variety. I know I did. But I tell myself I didn't have much variety when I was stuffing my face with fries and a burger almost every meal. |

Nikki, when I am actually losing weight I do not sleep well either.
Have you ever tried taking meletonin before bed. That seems to help me. It can make you have weird dreams so I keep the dosage to about 3 mg. |

For me it seams like I'm losing more weight than inches
![]() I think I was much smaller last time I weighed this much. Once I drop a few more pounds I will start working out again to tone up. |

To be accountable:
S-Just had 1/4 serving (1 square) of a World Market 99% cocoa bar (52 calories, 3.5g carbs, 1.8g fiber). Had to do it. I'm in a terrible mood and I'm looking for anything to take the edge off No I don't condone that as part of a meat/egg fast lol. |

I've done this in the past and should do it again. I was quite successful the first go-round. I think I'll start tomorrow, even though dinner tonight is bacon and eggs.
I'd love to see how much I can lose by Monday, which is my weigh-in day. I was 252 this week. I need to break through into the next century! |
