Okay that sounds like HEAVEN!! Fortunately without carbs, calories are much less of an issue. Thanks so much for the recipe!
Doesn't look like the treat hurt your progress I've been lurking on this thread for a little while and watching your progress. You guys are really doing great! I've tried the ME WOE a few days here and there and have seen some positive results myself.I have a couple questions if you don't mind. When you do ME long term, do you pretty much eliminate veggies completely? And when you get to goal, how and what do you plan to transition to? And lastly do you find any difference by doing lower calories? The last question applies to the fact that doing ME really eliminates hunger for me so I was thinking it might work well with HCG and doing 600-800 calories. Thanks and great going!

When I do meat and egg fast, I still use things like bbq sauce, sour cream, hwc, salsa, mayo, and mustard. At times I will have a small (1/2 cup) of vegetables if I get that "craving". Also, when I begin to add in other veggies, salads, fruits (berries) it doesnt' seem to affect me. None of this seems to hamper my weight loss, YMMV.

I eliminate all veggies for a few days, then once or twice a week I will pick a low-carb veggie and have a very small amount of it for the sake of nutrition. I have a vitamin supplement (Emergen-C) daily. It's fruity and low-carb with 5 calories and tastes pretty good. I haven't reached goal yet, but plan to stick with M/E until I do. I am gonna transition real slow, maybe 1/2 a serving of veggies at first and slowly work my way up from there. I have blood sugar issues so I'm expecting my carb limit to always be pretty low for maintenance. Oh, the consequences of "Living to Eat" in my teens and early 20's. I have learned through trial and error that even if I keep my carb limit the same, going from 900 calories to, say, 1800 in 1 day is going to backfire, so I have to slowly up the calories too. Thanks EP! That really helps to get my head around this.
I've had quite a challenge this weekend. A lot of eating on the economy. Funny, I have eating out low carb dialed but this takes some doing. Keep dead ending into lettuce. ![]() 139.6 139.3 |

Last night I finished up with 991 Calories 69% Fat, 29% Protein, 2% Carbs, drank plenty of water and felt like I had a really good day. Today I see a bump of 1.7
. I start trying to figure out why and realize I have a perfect storm of why if it’s even more than a temporary fluctuation. 1. I was doing CLA/GLA last week and the week before, during which I busted my first ever FF. I stopped before starting HCG/ME, but just before. 2. Yesterday I did have some lettuce, avocado and SF whip cream. Not a lot, but…. 3. HCG and ME may not be happy together. 4. I’m still sore from gardening. 5. I had some wine Friday and Saturday and sometimes I have a two day effect from that. 6. Or it could be just a fluctuation. But not what I would expect during week one of HCG. Any insight or suggestions would be appreciated. 139.6 139.3 141.0 ![]() |

Terri, I am certain that additional weight is pure water. There's just no way someone can gain a pound of fat over the course of just a couple days. You can stick with the plan another day or so and see if it gets shed... But in the end I know you will choose what is best for you.

I think two things are factoring in here though. I have not been able to exercise in 2 weeks. I found out yesterday it is because I have bronchitis. Finally! An answer! It's my fault, I get sick so very little, I always procrastinate when it come to going to the doctor. So, for the first time every in my 42 years I have to use an inhaler. I am taking antibiotics and I am supposed to take a cough medicine at night to help me sleep. I am taking the first two, but don't like the idea of taking something with codiene in it when I am the only parent at home with 4 children. Anyway, I'm getting off track. I am also expecting TOM. So I am hoping after this bronchial infection is cleared up and I'm on the other side of TOM I'm down about 4 or 5 pounds and can start my running again! FFNM: Thank you so much for sharing that. I have been also inspired by so many on this more. It just reminds me to keep sharing and paying it forward! Terri - YMMV, but my body seems to want to hang on to the lbs if I do not get enough calories, or if I eat after 7PM. I always try to keep my calories above 1400 and not to eat substantial calories after 7PM. I may have a little HWC in a few oz of soda or a few oz of water, but mostly I try to have nothing after 7PM (unless it's a coctail ).Yesterday's Menu: B: decaf coffee, 2 T HWC, 1 T CO, 1 splenda L: (late) 1/4 pounder w/cheese, no ketchup, no bun (taking kids and self to DR) S: 1/2 serving almonds D: pork roast w/ 1 T BBQ sauce S: 2 T HWC w/6 oz dt dr pepper |

Day 1: -1.8
Day 2: -1.8 Day 3: -0.4 Day 4: -1.4 Day 5: -0.8 I'm out of steak so I'll be sticking to eggs all day today. B: 4 scrambled eggs, coffee L: 3 HB eggs D: 4 scrambled eggs Lori, I think you're whoosh is coming soon too! And I hope you feel better soon! As for me, I learned something about myself this morning. Usually I will have breakfast the same time everyday, around 9:30. And then I'm usually full for the rest of the morning until about 1 or 2 when I have lunch. Well, this morning I had to run errands early and I didn't get a chance to eat breakfast before leaving. I got home a little while ago and I was ravenous and I just wanted to binge on cookies and bread and chocolate! The craving was so BAD and in my head I was thinking that there's no way my eggs were going to curb my cravings. I forced myself to make scrambled eggs though, and as soon as I ate them I was fine. I'm full, satisfied, and no longer craving the junk. I have a bad history with junk food binges, and in the past I would have given in and then felt horrible about myself for the rest of the day. I'm kind of amazed that the eggs did the trick and made those cravings go away. But now that I know that it works, in the future I will immediately eat something on plan I feel a binge coming on instead of diving head first into a pile of cookies. ![]() |

![]() After I had to do that 24-hour fast, I 'binged' on legal low-carb foods 'cause I was so hungry. I didn't break my diet but I definitely stalled it. Then retained a couple pounds of water and felt bad and tried to restrict myself, and now today I just ate a pear.
