B: Coffee with 2 sweetner/heavy cream L: Marinated talapia with yogurt and Indian spices D: Usually a peice of steak And 10-12 glasses of water. The weight is still not coming off??? Jan 9, 87 Jan 11, 84 Jan 13, 83.2 Jan 14, 83.2 Jan 15, 83.2 Jan 16, 83.4 jan 17, 82 Jan 18, 82.4 TOM is not until the end of the month so what can I do to speed things up??? I've also been working out....nothing crazy just for 20 mins to target my arms/belly from youtube videos. Would working out be a no-no?

Hi Natosha - you probably don't need to worry about lowering your salt- people in ketosis need more salt than people on carby diets.
The whole salt panic is largely hyperbole anyway - we're told to avoid it in case it raises blood pressure because high blood pressure can lead to a stroke, but tests have shown eating salt only raises BP in people who already have BP problems. If you're otherwise healthy, enjoy your salt! (Carbs raise blood pressure too, but we're - sadly - not told to avoid them). You might want to vary your food a bit though, you'll get bored fast eating the same for every meal. |

Well, since my weight didn't budge at all, even with the M/E fast I decided to try something different yesterday. I ate fruits, salads and veggies all day, 1 serving of egg whites for lunch and chicken drumstick for dinner, and for the first time in 5 months I haven't been hungry nor did I have cravings, I actually couldn't eat all my dinner, now that's a first!!!:

Cool, Erika! Have you ever considered carb cycling? Maybe to tweak your diet? Variety is the spice of life.

Jeneric...YES!!! Remember we talked about carb cycling before, I actually bought the book by Wendy Chant, but haven't mustered up the courage yet to give it a full shot. But carb cycling is definateley something I want to do, the human body is so smart and gets used to the same pattern real quick, so we gotta shake it up!
Becky...way to go on getting those pounds back off!!! I bet you will make it down to 155 before your trip! When are you leaving? I am also surprised at the outcome of my little experiment, I figured I'd be up a few pounds, but it can always bounce up tomorrow...what gets me though is that I wasn't hungry at all, and I had no cravings, not even for my beloved cheese! That alone was a miracle in itself ![]() . Today I did the same thing, oatmeal, fruits and veggies all day, now it's supper time and I don't wan't anything ![]() Beth...Welcome! Well I stared back in July I was 205 and was in 18 now 155 in 10. I really do 85% fat never go over 20 carbs.most days 5-10. It's hard but I was not going on vacation looking fat...I've only cheated 2 times each time made me very sick. I really love meat and eggs.ever morning I have coffee with 1tbs co 1tbs hwc and liq.stevia that keeps me till around 12 then I eat eggs then I eat dinner around 4-5 meat about 4-6 oz some times eggs with it.i do egg salad and wrap it in lettuce.things that stall me!! To much protein, nuts, cheese,to many pork rinds...when I ate veggies I only ate lettuce, cucumber ,radish.very little onion.i use o&v for salad dressing I made it added little liq.stevia to it made it taste better.hope this helps..I will answer any your question you need..it's hard but once you get into ketoeous you lose the hungry

With the meat and eggs, do you use fat to prepare? Also do you watch the calories for the day?like keep it to 1000 or 1200?I would like to try this, I need to lose 10 lbs I put on over the Holidays..I have done FAT FAST..but only lost like 2 lbs in 5 days.. not a big lose, but still a loss I know.Just kind bored. So what is a good day with meat and eggs look like?I use Heavy cream, cream cheese, CO,Olive oil andbutter. How much do you add when cooking meat and the eggs? Thanks!

I have heard that eating only protein and some fat isnt as good as eating more fat than Protein.Extra protein gets turned into Glucose..so then how does this meat and egg fast work?I still would like to know what the calorie limit is, I mean I could eat 12 eggs a day..I need to lose 10 lbs, plus how much meat at a sitting?I can easily down a small rack of ribs..maybe even a larger one if that is all I'm having..Need more information please. Some forums say eating too much protein stalls weight loss, others swear by it.
