I'm struggling right now - I haven't managed a full day megging yet - I've added a little peanut butter, some cream and cheese. Not terrible in low carb terms but not how I wanted to do it. I wonder if it's because I'm just getting back on the diet after 3 weeks off. I am craving carbs like CRAZY. It's also cold so I just want to eat and eat and eat all day long but I don't have enough meat to do that. |

Hello ladies
![]() FANTASTIC JOB LOSERS!!!! ![]() Ive still been doing a crappy job of eating on plan. I have to eat out every day cause I have no kitchen. I've been having Greek yogurt at work and a 6in subway sandwich sometimes when I'm really hungry. I have eaten massive amounts of carbs a day at least a few times a week lately. It's totally doable to eat low carb convenience food, but it's been a real challenge for me this time around. BUT... I GOT THE APARTMENT ![]() I'm so so happy! Words can't express my excitement!!! It's been a whole year since I moved here to start over leaving everything behind. Now my life is right where I want it to be in every way I weighed myself this morning and I was at 140 which isn't so bad considering the way I've been eating for a over few weeks now. I've bounced between 137-140 for over a week. I feel like 140 is a comfortable weight for me, so as long as I don't go over 140 I'll be a happy camper Happy losing all!! I can't wait to join back in the first week of February

Fell off the Meat and egg wagon yesterday with a few green beans. We had a luncheon at church and I was just excited that there was something there for me to eat!

It seems struggling is common lately, I wonder if it's to do with the time of year.
I'm back on track this week. Yesterday's food was: 2 boiled eggs mashed with mayo and butter Chicken fried in sesame oil with 5 spice Steak and scallops Plus some creamy glucomannan pudding. Today's plans are: Flax mim (just flax, egg and water) with butter Beef brisket And maybe some more gluc pudding or sugar free jelly. I've lost about half the weight I put on over Xmas but still have half to go- I think it's been slower than usual for me because of my struggles last week. |

And here I come, crawling back...
It's been awhile since I posted here. I've gone SO off track. I was put on new meds as well and gained back every ounce I ever lost. I'm at my highest weight and absolutely disgusted with myself. I guess I need to update my stats. Anyway, I've been bouncing around with this diet and that diet (strictly talking food intake, not "diet" in that sense) trying to find what works. The simple fact being that I want to eat whatever I want without gaining. But we all know we can't. So here I am.

Can I suggest Glucomannan or flax? I have been struggling too but, while I haven't managed to be completely meat/eg I haven't fallen off of low carb because I either have sweetned flax porridge - 30g flax, milk substitute, sweetener, mixed and microwaved - or glucomannan pudding - milk substitute, flavouring, sweetener, 1 tsp glucomannan powder to thicken it to pudding consistency.
Both are very high fibre supplements and filling. When I'm tempted to go off plan I eat one or the other and it usually fills me enough to take the urge away. |

Thanks Moonlight! I have been eating a lot of flax over the past year, I usually make muffins in the microwave but they gave me a few good scares in the bathroom department, to the point where I almost had to go to the ER (how embarrassing that would have been), even though I drink tons of water and other fluids all day. I will have to check out the Glucomannan though, may be a pudding would be good

wow yesterday was hard.
I was hungry later in the afternoon. I ate an atkins bar (not meat and eggs) I ate a atkins frozen meal (and those were only for emergencies--guess I thought this was one lol) so while that wasn't totally bad, I still want meat and eggs, so today I am gearing just for that. hmm..I usually have no trouble doing 2-3 days of this but yesterday just wasn't the day. but today is ugh, some days right?

I did good yesterday. I'm still not giving up my morning smoothie...lol. I'm adding more veggies to it though, today I have cucumber/blueberry. I'm going to experiment and try and get rid of the fruit in it. Other than that, it's just almond milk, protein powder and veg. I had eggs and bacon for lunch and then pork chops and green beans for dinner. So really I didn't do meat/egg fast yesterday. I just feel like i should do vegs when I can.
I'm pretty sure hot sauce is ok. Just drink more water when you have salty food. That's what I do anyway. The meat/egg fast is really YMMV. (Your mileage may vary) Meaning, we all do it differently. |

Also I weighed myself with clothes on so it's not an official weight, but it's down!
Since this is my first week back on track, I'm hoping for a 5 pound loss. More would be AWESOME though. ![]() |
