Ok, just ran to the store and bought 4 dozen eggs
I've decided to go right into an egg fast today but I'm really going to try and get in as many as possible, to get my calories up. I also bought butter, mayo and sour cream, to get in the calories and fat. I'll be doing some experimenting with these and eggs! Breakfast was 4 small/medium eggs (I have 1dz eggs from my fil's chickens-will try and use these up today and then start using the store bought ones tomorrow), in 1tbsp butter, crazy salt and then a generous portion on hot sauce Day One of my egg fast Starting weight: 147lbs and dealing with pms bloat ![]() |

Hello ladies
![]() So I told myself that since it was a new year it was time to stop eating all the holiday foods and get back to what I love the most, MEAT There's a couple factors that come into play, one is that I have been staying at my BF's (he has lots of roomies) and haven't been able to cook any food, the other is that I've been stressed about some really sad family issues that bring up issues from years ago... That made me realize i'm somewhat of an emotional eater, wahhh! ok ima snap outta that now haha! Life is too great to dwell on what we can not change! Since i'm having a major problem with sweets and carbs right now and trying to maintain, which I actually am, I bought a big container of greek yogurt and some granola. Bad! but better than cake and such, so it's a start. Today I'm looking at a nice apartment that has taken me a YEAR to find so I'm VERY excited!!!! I'm praying it's the one and I can call it home. Then I'll be able to cook...YAY There will be no excuse and I can get my life and eating habbits back on track...and back to taking photos of all my low carb creations. How fun! |

Joanne...Nice drop there!
Leangirl...Thanks! Now if I could only bust throught that 168 this week! Way to go on the half pound drop! Becky...Don't sweat it, we all have days like that, trust me if anyone knows it's me, I been craving for the past 6 months Enjoy an off day and climb back on the wagon tomorrow![]() Cindy...I am glad the scale is finally cooperating again, I know how frustrating it can be, especiall when being good! Lori...It's definately the late water consumption, just takes a few extra tinkles!! LOL Oceana...The sweets and carb cravings definately have something to do with the cold season. I didn't crave any of that stuff in the summer, but I also ate tons of fruits and salads, now I can't eat any of that stuff because I'm always cold, I just want warm comfort food and then lay in bed and eat garbage ![]()

Soooo, I ate around 12 eggs today
I read a bunch of other threads on the egg fast on other sites and this seemed to be the norm of what people were doing. I think I over did it a bit I also had butter, mayo, mustard, hot sauce, sour cream and 1tbsp of bacon bits. Calorie wise I think I came in at around 1,600 for the day, so actually pretty close to a normal JUDDD UD for me. I'm very curious to see what the scale says tomorrow-part of me thinks I may be up in weight tomorrow I'm feeling very bloated/overfull right now (a dozen eggs will do that to ya ). I don't know if I'll do it again tomorrow-we'll see how I feel lol. |

Hi guys, great to see this thread still going.
I lost a ton megging before xmas but now have a 3 week xmas gain to lose, so I'll be megging again from tomorrow. I actually started yesterday back on my regular low carb plan but I have some cheese and asparagus to use up before I can do the pure meat and egg thing. I noticed people were calling this low calorie - it isn't usually for me. I use lots of butter and oil and i'm fairly sure this helps my loss as well as keeping me satisfied with what I eat. So today I'm having some cheese and veggies along with my steak dinner but tomorrow I have a whole chicken ready to roast. |

Good Morning!
Linda! and Back Midnight! Like the name "megging"If I recall, fat bombs are basically cream cheese with sweetner? Some of the ladies have cream cheese so I guess it is a trial and error thing! Erika, snoangel, Lori, Portcop, Cindy and leangirl! Hope I didn't miss anyone!Mom23kids I'm clucking right behind you with 8 eggs! OK..I have to whine a little..I'm getting tired of eggs! ...but I'm not getting sick of getting on the scale and seeing it go down...so...I'll continue...but Friday is definitely my last day!!!!1/7/13: 145.8 1/8/13: 144.4 1/9/13: 142.8 (haven't seen this number for a lonnnnnnng time! Stepped on the scale twice just to make sure!)Hope everyone has a great ME day! Last edited by Joannew; 01-09-2013 at 03:51 AM.. |

Yesterday I had a HUNGRY day! I could not stop eating!!! I am considering the egg only fast, but I just don't know if I can do that for more than a couple of days!

So sorry to hear your news Becky, It's good of you to be there through it.
wow so many eggs being eaten on this board. I usually only have maybe 6 eggs a week, but I may try upping it a little. I definitely couldn't do the pure egg fast though, I'd get sick of them too fast. Weirdly I am really craving meat today. Typically as breakfast/lunch was veg and cheese. Going to have steak (and eggs!) shortly to tap that craving. Does anyone here do pulled or shedded pork (or any kind of pork) in a crockpot/slow cooker? What cut of pork do you use and what liquid do you put in with it, please? I just bought a slow cooker today and am plotting what to cook in it. Lots of meltingly soft beef and pork hopefully, yummy. |

Cindy – As a matter of fact TOM is due in a couple of days. So that could be the hunger, because I was starving again yesterday. I love being on a plan where I can eat more of what is legal and still lose weight even if it is only .2 pounds! Congrats on the weight loss!
Portcop – like Cindy I use mayo daily and usually HWC and sour cream as well Snodancer – Thanks for the tip! Moonlights – Jan 2 – 7 practically all I ate was breakfast pork sausage links, pork chips and pork roast! I put a pork loin in the crockpot with 1-2 cups of chicken broth and sprinkle MrsDash herbs and garlic over the top…cook for 8-10 hours and enjoy! CONGRATS ALL YOU OTHER LOSERS! Hello everyone!!!
Busy day so late checkin, nothing spectatular to report anyways The "curse" has finally arrived so it will be a bit of a bouncing around in the weight department. Extra hungry last night but I killed the sugar craving monster with some sweetened creamcheese and cocoa, figured it would be better than the big bag of truffles I had been eyeballing Also going to hold off on the carbup day til weekend I think, gives me one weenend day to endulge a little.Yesterdays menu B--none L--3 boiled eggs D--5 chicken drumsticks S--creamcheese whipped with cocoa and splenda 12-22-12---168.8 pre christmas weight 12-26-12---180.2 post christmas weight 01-05-13---168.0 01-06-13---169.6 ***CARBUP DAY*** 01-07-13---170.6 ***Meat and Eggs *** 01-08-13---169.4*** Meat and Eggs *** 01-09-13---168.6*** Meat and Eggs *** 01-10-13---168.4*** Meat and Eggs *** Congratulations on all the losses ![]() |

Hi all - thanks for your pulled pork tips, Lori and Cindy. I'm definitely going to try making it next week. If you use a pork shoulder or loin, do you take the skin/fat off before putting it in the slow cooker?
Yesterday I roasted a chicken and ate a ton of it, and made bone broth with the leftovers - had a delicious cup of that for my breakfast. Today will be pan fried venison and leftover chicken fried with five spice. Sigh, I just can't wait for all my xmas gain to be gone so I can get back to losing real weight again. Shed a lot in the last 3 days but need to double it to be back where i started. It was my choice to take a break from the plan but wow, I wish I didn't retain so much water. Am sure i'll have gained back a few lbs of actual fat too, but hopefully not many. Last edited by Moonlights; 01-11-2013 at 03:49 AM.. |
