Be careful about this. Not going to the bathroom can be a really painful health hazard.

Depending on how you are doing LC either keep your fat high or fiber intake up.

Supplement with a good magnesium. Start slow but work your way up to 2x the RDA. Google 'Robbins magnesium Jimmy Moore' for an excellent podcast about magnesium.

Something I do that really helps me- and is a bonus for this WOE is taking 1T of olive oil straight, followed by a full glass of water in the morning before eating/drinking anything w/caloric content.

Good morning, and Happy Thanksgiving to all that celebrate it!

I am up 0.8 today, but I know I didn't drink nearly enough water yesterday, just came in at about 4 or 5 cups, no biggie! Since I am planning on having a GREAT Thanksgiving dinner that little ole pound really doesn't matter LOL, I know I will be weighing at least 5-6 pounds more tomorrow, also no biggie, I know that after my "trial run" on the meat and egg fast it will come right back off!

yesterdays menu

B-None
L-3 boiled eggs
D-Hamburger patties, cheese
S-2 eggs, cheese

Have a fabulous day everyone!

Happy thanksgiving all!!!
I'm very thankful for all my LCF as well as much more!

I won't post what I eat today because I don't recommend anyone eat it
I will enjoy my planned "free" day and then right back to living low carb tomorrow

Hope everyone has a great day!

I'm not sure about most people but I'm gonna start to add just veggies and eat simple like this for the most part.
I feel amazing and have tons of energy. It seems like it works best for my body.

I know. I so agree with you. the energy is great, the body feels good, and I'm not hungry.

I would think it is definitely safe to do it every other week or whenever I feel I need it.

good decision. eating light and clean is a very smart choice!

I think I'm going to do it until I get tired of it, but not really worry too much about the occasional veggie. Once I'm bored, I'll add in veggies and cheese and do a M/E fast every few weeks. I'm not really sure, I just don't have any plans to go off it soon.

Well I had big plans to eat all the things I usually don't!
I pretty much stayed low carb except for a small amount of sweet potato and yam bake. And then two small desserts, one for breakfast and one after dinner. All around I barely ate today. Idk why?

WOW you're all doing amazing!!!
This thread has kept me reading all night and I think I am going to join...
I LOVE my eggs and meat ...not a big "veggies" person right now
so I think I can do this

I will start tomorrow
the no cheese will be hard BUT I think I need to do it because I have been eating too much cheese

Is there a limit on eggs or meat?

I'm glad you're joining us!!

I don't limit, but I haven't had a huge appetite. The more I eat the better for weight loss tho.
I've eaten up to 6 eggs a day with a couple steaks
I'm going to start posting exactly what I eat each day starting tomorrow I think.
I usually eat a few hard boiled eggs for breakfast with lots of salt
A piece of steak, hamburger patties sometimes w/cheese, pork chop, or chicken for lunch
Uncured sugar free meat stix for snacks
And steak for dinner
I eat cheese sometimes, not often. Gotta get fat so eat coconut oil, butter, mayo and such freely
I don't eat too much chicken but that's just cause I have so much steak on hand.
I need to start supplementing better with a great multivitamin
And I drink smooth move tea and take a good powder fiber

Well the results are in - I did m/e for four days last week, Sunday - Weds and I lost 5lbs!

Thursday I added cheese and veg and I have lost more today but not a full lb so I'm not counting it. I'm now eating mostly vegetarian with cheese to give myself a break, and I'll be back trying m/e from sun - thurs. I'm not expecting the same huge loss two weeks running though - I think it happened this week as I had a sts last week. I've been doing <30g carbs since April so it's really impressive I can still have losses like that at all.

Really pleased. And today I hit the target I was hoping to be at by Xmas - 11st or 154lb (down from 159 last fri.)

Good morning! Hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving! I really didn't eat much of the dinner but I had sweets all day, tons of it too and it shows on the scale today, but I deprive myself of them all year so i really needed that (not the heartburn I got from them today though).
So, NOW it's time to get serious with M/E fast, lets see how fast I can drop this water!

11/22--166.4

11/23--173.6---yup, retaining OVER 7 pounds of water, carbs love me!!!

I've really enjoyed reading through this thread and seeing how you are all getting on with it. I think I am going to give this a try. I fell off the LC wagon for a couple of weeks and got back on it on Monday. I haen't weighed myself so I don't know what the damage was, but think I will start this tommorow. Get weighed (and face up to my gain!!) and then do this for a week.

I don't like all that many veggies anyway so it's now a massive problem for me to cut them out for a little while. I mostly eat them as they seem healthy lol.

Looking forward to joining in tomorrow!

Thanks for all the welcomes
Go figure this morning I get on the scale and it's down a little tiny bit...

Oceana - I think your so right about the more you eat the more you lose...
Yesterday I was "hungry" (I say that loosely) and was always looking for "something"
the choices I made were good...I had 2 boiled eggs that didn't cut it
so I fried up 2 more with 2 strips if bacon and then I was happy and like I said I got up and the scales were going down
Maybe thats why I I didn't lose this week? not even food?

Today is day 1 251.6 lbs

B- 2 fried eggs, 3 rasher of bacon, coffee with hwc and splenda

L- tuna with lots of mayo

D - a nice big juicy steak

Tina1973, good idea.

ok I am officially starting again today. meat and eggs

what got me was on day 3 I craved a salad. Heck I should have just eaten it LOL
then I would have been happy and continued longer.

the weight loss is really good doing this. more rigid on the menu and that gets the weight off for me.

throwing in some veggies when the mood hits shouldn't be a problem I would think.

OK day 1 again for me. here I go

Cindy-Lou, I was sick a couple of weeks ago after an iron infusion and couldn't face eating - I was getting about 500cals a day. I gained a lb! It came off as soon as I got back to eating normally. I think maybe done of our bodies are extra sensitive to not getting enough cals.

I'm happy you're joining in!! I am restarting today because I ate a cupcake yesterday as well as a tiny slice of pumpkin cheesecake. Other than that I barely ate tho. I honestly don't feel so bad today because I didn't go overboard on my planned cheat day. I doubt it even knocked me so far out of ketosis.

Good morning Erika! Isn't it funny how much water we can gain in one day!? UGH! I didn't weigh myself this morning because I knew it would have gone up. I'm going to stay away from the scale for 3 more days and then see if I had a true gain or loss.

Sweets were my issue too. I did great with dinner. I even avoided my favorite, stuffing. I didn't feel deprived or anything. Then it was time for dessert and I went a bit insane. Are you feeling as yucky as me today? I didn't have a 7 pound gain, but I had a gain.

I don't limit meat or eggs, I don't really have too much of an appetite. I do make sure I add butter to most of what I eat. It adds flavor and we need the fat.

Happy Saturday everyone! My first day back on MEF was a little rough, had some boiled eggs for lunch and that was a big mistake! Whatever I ate on Thanksgiving messed up my GI system so bad that I was in a lot of pain after eating them. Dinner I only had a couple of scrambled eggs and my belly was fine with those. Now on the positive side, I dropped 3.6 of the 7.2 pounds of water

11/22--166.4 Pre Thanksgiving weight

Damage control

11/23--173.6---yup, retaining OVER 7 pounds of water, carbs love me!!!
11/24--170.0

@cindylou - steak and scallops is my favorite meal! I make it for myself almost every Monday and look forward to it so much.

Well I've been a vegetarian for a couple of days - tofu, veggie dogs, courgettes, cauliflower cheese, eggs and cheese and sho' 'nuff didn't lose this morning. But didn't gain either, which is fab as I thought I might have a little upward bounce.

Back megging from tomorrow - doubt I'll lose 5lb in 4 days again but we'll see how it goes. If its slow then I'll go back to my regular Atkins eating and try megging maybe once a month so it stays a shock to the system.

Good morning all

Well I woke up, made my coffee and heated up 3 little steaks I grilled last night. Yum what a way to start the day!!!
So I just weighed myself because I couldn't wait 3 days! So after filling up on steak and coffee and in my pajamas, I weigh 140.9 that's my pre-thanksgiving weight I'm glad I didn't go overboard!! Cause I just hate that icky feeling and today I'm a lil bloated. I drank my smooth move tea and nothing "moved" I wish I was just normal in that department but it's been a life long battle.

I hope everyone enjoys the weekend! Nice and sunny here but cold of course.

I didn't weigh today, so I'm not sure where I'm at. I might wait until Monday.

I forgot to post my meals yesterday. I really had no appetite. I had no breakfast, lunch was some roast beef fried in some butter, dinner I had a couple cream cheese clouds to just get something in me.

I realized I'm not doing a true m/e fast because I'm eating fat bombs or cream cheese clouds about every day. I think it's just because they're so easy and convenient. They're mostly fat so it's not bad.

today was:
B: 3 cream cheese clouds
L: 2 McDoubles w/no bun or ketchup
D: pork chops or burgers - not sure yet.
