Yes they certainly can... it is recommended 20 minutes of walking every day so I feel that if you are doing 20 minutes of activity that increases your heart rate (makes you swet) you would be good.

Also what helps is parking your car on the far side of the parking lot, never using an elevator and walking the inside perimiter of the grocery/department stores before you begin to shop.

Hi group! Back from Denmark/ Finland ready to start attack again. I had lost 28 lbs the first go round, and 8 lbs crept back on when Iw as not paying attention and cheating- life got the better of me- but have 35 to go ( more really but being realistic) my first goal is 35.
Hello everyone! I need some insights to get back on the wagon 100%. I had been eating rib meat on the first go round, and nut butters also. Then I read that both are a no no. Anything new on the Dukan horizon I might have missed? thanks all and I look forward to getting to know the latest and greatest Dukaneers on this thread..

Sure, why not stop in every Friday and post your weight for that morning..
Dont post the up or down amounts... unless you want to...
Somehow putting that number in, like we do on the HB Challenge spread sheet
Makes it concrete and a goal to be lowered or at the least remain the same.
I know ya'll are younger than I so TOM will be around and dont stress over that retention.. it will equal itself out..

WOE: Whatever It Takes!!!!!
Start Date: 7/30/2014
It's great to see everyone posting! I have not been able to get back on plan. It has just been crazy. and then we had to take an unexpected trip to Kansas City to visit my mother in law. She is 93 and fell twice. DH was worried so we drove out to make sure how she was doing. She is doing well though using a walker now.

And then we we got back I had to work eight nights straight. Tonight is my first night off!! Yahoo!! Don't have to be back to work til Saturday night.

I lost a little over 30 lbs with Dukan the summer of 2011. Since then I've lost 20 more -- though I have put back on five pounds this year. Want to nip this in the bud right now. Going to get my Dukan book out and go over it tomorrow so I can get to the store and start back on plan on Friday. Maybe even tomorrow if I can get some stuff out of the freezer. DS won't be eating tomorrow night, so that leaves cooking for my dh, dd and her bff, and my mother. Think I might make shepherds pie for them and make some hamburger patties for me. I already have them frozen and ready to go from when I was planning to start back on plan at the beginning of the year. Need to get some milk and yogurt. Already have the oat bran. Good start.

The one thing that wil be different for me this time is that I am not drinking diet pop. Mainly what I drink now is water and occasionally tea and regular pop. Will have to give the regular pop up. So that might be a challenge, though I do drink lots of water.

Got my hair cut tonight. I was so mad. The girl cut the back of my hair shorter than the front and sides. Not at all what I told her to do. Need to find somewhere else to go get my hair cut.

Have a good day!!

Lensie You can do this! Since I started being full time caregiver (when son is not home) of the grandkids I have gone from 167 to 178. Hate it but sometimes like you life happens... as long as it doesnt go up any more I will be content til the weather gets better & I can get outside.

Natosha.... good for you but remember to be kind to yourself so you dont get burned out...

Almond milk -- no, but you can use soya milk.

Not really sure about the marshmallows. My quick response would probably be no. But it might be okay for an occasional snack.

Deli meats -- I think low fat ham is okay and thin sliced dried beef. Those are the only two luncheon meats that I remember being mentioned. Check in the book about that. I still eat some lunch meats and it hasn't hurt. Maybe a couple of times a week. Mainly it's seeing what works for you.

Had a whoosh today. 176.0!!! That's a 5.4 lb loss in two days!!

I had a salad tonight for dinner. But I'll still do PP tonight at work.

Have a great night!

Sure. Just do a search on Dukan. There are a lot of threads that can help you out.

Unfortunately, I went off plan last night. I was having some dizzy spells and came home early from work. Had some sprite and pizza. Then slept for quite a while. So far so good. I'll give it a few days and go back on plan. For now I am just going to eat small amounts.

I am at 174.8 today. Amazinginly still a loss from yesterday. Just need to watch tonight. Had a salad and stew for dinner. Think I will take a salad with roast beef and a banana for lunch tonight. No sweets!!!

Nighty night!!

The site I started learning about Dukan is
www .thedukandiet . info/

This is the site that I first started on but it has changed considerably and is much more user friendly.... you would have to key it into your browser I couldnt get a link to work.

Almost as much information there as in the book! May not have to invest $$$ because it is so complete... I think this is a non selling page but I am not positive as I have not looked at every page... hugs

Good reading ladies!

Thanks Lenise and iamfaithful!

I did a lot of reading on here and on other sites on the web, also the one that you pointed out iamfaithful! I decided to jump right in yesterday, since I have done several meat and egg fasts it wasn't hard at all for me, actually easier because leaving out all the fat I was able to fill up without going way overboard with my calories. Knowing that I had plenty of "room" to eat more if I needed to kind of gave me peace of mind
I weighed in at 171.6 yesterday morning, but that was after a major carb load on Saturday, this morning I was 168.8, right back where I was before my pig out fest, a nice drop so I really don't expect another one for tomorrow, but I sure as heck am curious if I can get my weight to budge again, I have been stuck for six months!

Have a great day Ladies!

Had taco meat, cheese, sour cream, and salsa over lettuce for dinner. Going to take a salad with roast beef tonight for lunch. Probably have my yogurt/oat before I go to work.

Have a great night.

Erika watch for getting clogged! Keep a laxative around so you dont get way uncomfortable as that can happen!

Everyone Keep up the good work!

Lenise...Way to go!!!

BOY, do I know about the constipation! I have every single potion and lotion in the cupboard! The one thing that really seems to help though is smooth move tea, it just gives me a little stomach discomfort, but I guess that is better than not "going". Thank you very much for the warning though Iamfaithful!!
