Oh Penny - great job. Wow - 2.2 lbs - that's a huge loss. WAHOO....
I went out to dinner tonight - I'm miserable - WHY OH WHY did I eat all that. It was our anniversary and I thought - I'm having what I want....all my favorites and not worrying about points. I had a fruit martini, a few bites of crab cake, sea bass and mashed potatoes, ceasar salad and half a piece of warm bread. Seriously - I loved every bite but should have stopped when I was full. The place we went had the very best desserts so I had one. My intent was to share with my husband but he wanted something else. My son went along and he had a dessert. We're all miserable now - that's the feeling that I don't miss with this life change. I forgot how bad you feel when you eat like this. Live and learn. I entered it into WW plan and it was 40 points for what I ate. That's just stupid -- I'm allowed 26. So, into the weekly points I go (and it's day 2 of my WW week). Tomorrow -- Zumba for some activity points. This week I'm out of town for business - and I will take my work out clothes and force myself to work out. Now that I confessed --- I feel better - so, thanks for listening (not that I'm sure you're not shaking your head and saying 'why the heck did she do that when she was doing so good'). Hope everyone has a wonderful weekend. |

H- as they in WW meetings....you learned, gained feedback, and you know what you have to do now. You did great by tracking, a lot of people wouldn't have, they would either just pretend it didn't happen, and/or just give up. You had your desires

Finally have started to loss weight with WW!
I now get WW is basically calorie counting. 1 point equals 40 calories. But it has made me more aware of how much I can eat. Last night at dinner, I knew I had so many points left, and I made a choice that fit within my daily points left. |

Lisa, great job!!! It gets easier. I think it's something we can all live with. I need to keep my points and carbs low this week while I'm out of town for business. The person I'm going with is on WW too but she's not as strict about it.

Hockeymom, on combining WW and LC. About how many carbs a day would you say
you eat after subtracting fiber? Low carb can run from the 20 carbs a day to 125 a day or so I have read. Thanks in advance, SMW |

This morning is was my weekly weigh-in and since last week I am down 3.5 lbs! I am very pleased as the first week I lost nothing. I am very encouraged by my results and will keep on doing what I am doing. I was worried I wouldn't loss that much as I used a lot of my 49 bonus points this week.

I must report that I'm up 2 lbs since last week's weigh-in. I am out of town for Thursday's actual weigh-in but I think it's so strange. I started Zumba - have only gone 4 times so far so it's not that muscle weighs more than fat (LOL). I only ate some of my weekly points - I've been good since. Maybe it's water - I need more water? Let's hope so. |

Hi, everyone. Thanks for the welcome.
I've been logging all my food faithfully. I find that I don't usually use all my daily points, yet I'm still feeling satisfied. HM - Good for you for logging your anniversary dinner. Sometimes that takes courage. Lisa - From what I'm reading, WW's PointsPlus takes more into account than calories. The same calorie-count can be equal to different point values due to the nutritional make-up of the particular food. So, I'm thinking WW has finally marched into the 21st century! We LCers have always known that calories are not the only thing to look at. Oh, and kudoes on the weight loss! To everyone else - looks like there were lots of losses last week. WooHoo!

Over all knowing I have so many points a day has helped me make better choices. And when my points are gone for the day, at night when I have a little hungry I reach for fruit or a few veggies. But seeing the scale going down is the biggest motivator for me. |

Hi everyone, hope you don't mind if I jump in! I actually just started WW today and had my first meeting. It went well, and I really like having the support and accountability. Having to weigh in every week will be a great motivator for me!
Congrats on all the losses! I hope to be one of those people next week at my weigh in |

![]() Rotay~ GREAT picture!! WI tomorrow morning.....not my best week. I've been in a eating kind of mood all week. I think TOM is coming very soon. I will be thrilled with any loss. I hope I don't go up or stay the same. I need to go to bed soon so I don't do anything stupid the night before WI. I'll see you guys tomorrow! |

Weclome Beach!
Wed was my birthday and I was down below a weight I haven't been in about a year. However, I have been going out to eat A LOT this week, so I don't think I will see a loss on my weigh in day, but I also don't think I will see a major gain. I have been walking at night so I hope I will stay the same as last week, which is fine with me. |

Penny, so happy for you. This plan definitely seems to be working for you. I actually gained .4. I do know why...way too many calories ths week. Hopefully will do better next week. Are you close to goal?

I'm close to my first goal but now I think I will just keep doing the program and see if I can be for real thin like I was when I was younger and not just look thin in clothes. I'm tall, 5'10 1/2, so I weigh more than people think. I'm going for clothing size this time and the ability to go into any store and find cute clothes that fit and don't have an X in the size. |

Welcome beachmom! I started WW on the 15th. My first week WI was a big 4.6 lb loss!
I had a party to go to last Friday. I brought a plate with some cheese cubes, summer sausage, and olives. That's the only thing I munched on all evening - stayed away from all the chips and desserts. But I did have some wine, which put me into my weekly bonus points. I had a bunch of the cheese cubes left over, so this morning I portioned them out into snack size bags and put them all in the freezer. Have a good week, everyone! |

Gibster, that is an awesome first week. Congrats.
Oh guys, I have so blown it today. Just freakin tired of it all I guess. Just having a down day, but as you know, when doing low carb..it can take a week to recover. With WW, ou can usually recover in a day or two. I was doing ok, then had too many beers and then some wheat thins with spinach dip. ![]() |
