Beeb, are you counting points or doing the simply filling technique?

I count points. I know my binging issues and the simply filling would never work for me, sad to say. I got a great app for the counting on my iPhone so it's easy and I like "knowing" I'm doing well or need to reign myself in and counting helps so much in that way.

Are you counting or filling?

I do a combo. Usually count on weekends and sft during the week. At present, i eat too many points on the w/e. What app do you use? I keep, thinking that I will go back to meetings, but funds are a bit tight, and I keep thinking that I should be able to do this on my own. :/

I totally forgot to post on Wednesday which was weigh-in....I was down 1.6 so I had a loss this time The funny part is I used some of my extra weekly points this time around. I wish we could just weigh in each month if we wanted, but then I might really get off track without the accountability.

My husband, daughter and I are going to visit Gettysburg, PA, this coming weekend. I'm excited I've been once before a couple years ago. It reminds me so much of my hometown in East TN. I'll be visiting home also next month.

Everyone have a wonderful first week of Fall!!!

I have an iPhone and the app is called Ultimate Value Diary. It cost $3.99 and it was the BEST $3.99 I have spent to date on an app!

I'm having problems getting to my points for the day. I need some ideas please, for healthy choices to add points. I'm usually in the black by about 5 to 6 points at the end of the day and I know I need to eat close to my points to lose well.

Thanks for the ideas!!

Are you looking for snacky type or other? I would add points by using full fat or lite mayo, salad dressing, and butter, or maybe sugar free pudding or ice cream?

Beeb, I also add points by using 1/2 and 1/2 in coffee, not the full fat at this time.

Lexiann ~ There was an article I think in last month's issue of Reader's Digest about IF. It was explaining how that two low calorie days per week helps with weight loss and insulin problems. They suggest two 600 cal days and the rest 1500 calories.

I'm looking for healthy add ins so I'm thinking using EVOO and coconut oil to up the points some.

I already use light cream but just one tablespoon. Maybe will add another one in there for a few more added points.

Thanks for the ideas!!!

Just checking in, how is everyone doing this week? So far, so good for me. Of course it is always the weekends that challenge me. It is not the food so much as it is that I usually have too many beers. I have joined a challenge on the ww site called "no alcohol for 2 months". Now, I'm not sure that I will abstain for the whole 2 months, but I am trying to take it a week at a time. I do believe, however, that this will truly help my weightless.
I haven't walked on treadmill since last Thursday, my feet have hurt too much. I have good shoes, but I think that it is probably because other than when walking I usually wear flats...sandals or flip flops with no support, and have for years, so it is probably catching up with me.
On a more positive note... Can't wait for dinner tonight- salmon, spinach and sweet potato.

Have a great day all!

at my gym they refer to booze as "liquid fat" it sucks lol. it wont prevent you from losing but it definitely slows things down... well it would prevent if you drank heavily on a daily basis. im planning not to drink at all this weekend we have NOTHING planned, no dinners etc so i should be able to do it!

Hey everyone! I'm still around, really busy time of year for me so I will check in when I can.

Doing so well on WW! I've gotten past my binging and I'm just loving my relationship with food again!

Weight is moving down, slowly and I'm just fine with this trend! I'm eating EVERYTHING I want and finding many of my healthy food ideas coming back again. Finally realizing when I'm TRULY hungry and it's just a great feeling that I can love food again in a healthy way mentally!

Made some great meals this week, even a flatbread pizza that was all of 8 points for the whole pie!

Weekends we tend to eat out and I have a few drinks so I'm watching a little closer this weekend to see what I can do to not have that "weekend weight creep" that usually happens on Monday morning.

It's all a work in progress and a learning experience that I can say I'm really enjoying!!

FlatBread Pizza...8 Points Plus For Whole Flatbread Pizza

Posted in our WW recipe thread but here it is, too!

Serving Size 1 Whole Flatbread Pizza
Points Plus 8

Ingredients:

1 Flat Out Thin Crust Flatbread sheet 4 Points

1/2 cup Fat Free Mozzarella Cheese 2 Points

1 Laughing Cow Cheese, Herb and Garlic 1 Point

2 TBS Fat Free Parmesan Cheese 1 Point

Sliced Tomato 0 points

Grilled or roasted veggies of choice. (I used onion, mushrooms, peppers, fresh garlic, and olives) 0 Points

Herbs and seasoning of choice

Instructions:

Grill or bake the flat bread according to directions on package. Set aside.

Roast, grill or saute in cooking spray veggies of choice until just getting limp. Set aside.

Evenly spread Laughing Cow Cheese across the prepared flat bread crust. Place slice tomatoes to cover crust and then add veggies. Add mozzarella and Parmesan cheeses. Add spices.

Heat in oven or grill according to directions on package until cheese is melted and pizza is heated through.

Enjoy the WHOLE thin crust flat bread pizza by yourself!

Beeb, thanks for the recipe. I am not a big cheese fan, so will only use the mozzarella, saving 2 points- yippee! Looking forward to this.

I'm going to borrow your 8 pt pizza recipe if you don't mind! I bought a Smart Ones pepperoni pizza to try this weekend and it was horrible. This sounds good!
I'm a life time WW member but am back, at week #3 with 42 pounds to get back to goal. I've been lurking here for a couple of weeks, something I've never really done in all my years here on LCF! The thing I'm enjoying most about being back on WW is the 45 calorie bread!!

back, good to see you here and hope to get lots of good ideas from a "lifer"! I hope you enjoy the pizza as much as I did! The trick I've found with FF cheeses is to not cook them too long; just until melted and hot. Use lots of veggies and spices and you will be amazed at the taste! I love this pizza!!

Thanks for the welcome, Beeb! I haven't been on the WW program in years but have done Atkins, South Beach, hcg drops, JUUDD, IF .... you name it! I'm finally back to Weight Watchers because I know it works, it's healthy and unrestrictive compared to these others. I hit my goal weight when I was 28 years old. Thankfully, they officially raised it to the top of my range because of my age now, which made it seem possible to reach the goal weight again!

I look forward to seeing new ideas and suggestions here!

I love seeing your successes/happiness as well...are you typically eating similar things day-to-day? I'm always curious as to what others eat on a regular basis. I know you said you eat a lot fruits & veggies.

This post makes me happy!

I make a mean flat bread pizza, too, but with red sauce and 2% cheese, loads of mushrooms and sliced tomato. No parm or laughing cow but sometimes I throw some chicken on there.

for your interest in my happiness and it's nice to have it again! It was a LONG road back to eating normal and not binging and I'm just so over the moon about it! Yes, I eat lots of fruits and veggies but I also eat pretty much what I want, even eating out. I plan my points for the day; If home I just wing it with whats in the house and what I feel like. If going out I look at the menu, when I can, or decide before hand what I'm going to eat by the type of food that will be on the menu, like Italian, Chinese, Mexican, etc. I eat very sensible throughout these days that I'll be eating out and save the bulk of my points for the food I'll be eating out. I have eaten, on occasion, 2 meals out and if this is the case one meal is on the light side and the other I will only eat half the serving. I usually never eat the same foods over and over, I'm too easily bored and will just give up this WOE if I get bored. I am very inventive and always manage to find a lower point recipe for the things I love. Today I did a Lavash bread wrap making a turkey and cheese panini with a horseradish sauce. Did it on the Forman grill and it was just and only 6 points! It was a BIG panini so dinner tonight was just cup of homemade soup and checkers with laughing cow cheese for 7 points. Have had 5 servings of fruits today and 4 servings of veggies in a salad, plus another side salad of tomatoes fresh from my garden, picked today. I had snacks today, also and always manage to have at least 2 or 3 throughout the day. I can't say enough how this WOE is just a great fit for me!! I'm just very happy!!

I make a mean flat bread pizza, too, but with red sauce and 2% cheese, loads of mushrooms and sliced tomato. No parm or laughing cow but sometimes I throw some chicken on there.
Sounds wonderful, Portia and will have to try it next time! Any idea of the point value for your pizza? What kind of flat bread are you using? And what is your favorite type of 2% cheese? Thanks for the info, always looking for great recipes!!

I use the Flat Out bread and the generic 2% cheddar. Mine come out to 8 points. I can't remember how much cheese that is but it's around 1/3 or 1/4 cup, plus a point for the marinara.
