I don't think WW is working for me. Day 3 and I am SO bloated I couldn't fit into my jeans and was so uncomfortable ALL day not to mention having to buy GasX. Ugh. It seems to be working for dh so far he likes it. I did learn these past 3 days that my portions were too large lately, I think I got lax on just how many carbs I was eating. I will say that each day I kept having pts leftover, like today I have 3 pts left and it's 8pm and I'm eating turkey. lol Last night I had 3 pts left too and wasn't hungry to eat them and it was time for bed again.

It is normal to have some weigh-ins along your journey where you are up, right?

I've heard that a LOT of people will have up weeks now and then. I heard a story of a Weight Watchers member who was up HALF of her weigh in weeks but she kept going and lost fifty-some pounds.

I'm still trucking along on the WWPP highway Last week I lost only 0.6 of a lb. I hate those weeks, and I've had a few of them. This week I was down 1.4, which is okay but I feel I should be losing at least 2 pounds per week. So....I've decided to give up my Diet Wild Cherry Pepsi habit for a week and see if it makes a difference. I'll still have my coffee with sweet-n-low and sugar free vanilla creamer every morning, but it's water for the rest of the day, every day.

Also, I have 2 Atkins bars every day. They are the 200-calorie Chocolate Chip Granola bars. I LOVE them, but I'm opting for real food these next 6 days. I love the convenience of just having a bar for breakfast and one for lunch, but when it comes right down to it, it's still a processed food.

I eat a Smart Ones frozen item every evening with my supper, and I'm sure that's adding some sodium among other things that I don't need. Now that it's getting hot and humid here, I'm really starting to retain fluid.

Hope everyone is having a great week! Happy holiday weekend!!!

I hate when I feel like that!!! Three Friday nights ago I threw the Points counting out the window and ate like there was no tomorrow. I used over 30 of my extra weekly points, but the next weigh-in I lost 2.8 lbs. It was weird. Then the next week I did really well and lost 0.6 of a pound. Go figure

Hi, everyone! I've been doing WW Points Plus since last August. I started at 194 and I am currently 158.4. From January until this month, I have been plateauing.....so, I switched to Atkins induction for about 2 weeks and lost about 5 lbs. I started back on WW and weigh in tomorrow. I'm hoping that the 2 weeks on Atkins will help shake up my metabolism and allow me to start losing again on WW. What I have learned from doing Atkins is, although I was staying in my WW points allowance when on WW, I was probably having too many carbs and eating too many "empty" foods that only had carbs. This time around, I'm going to do WW, but cut down on "empty" foods, breads, sugar, starchy vegetable, and processed foods. I'm going to incorporate more exercise, water, and protein. I weigh in tomorrow and will post my results.....Happy to join this group! WE CAN DO THIS!!! ANY PROGRESS IS GOOD PROGRESS!!! BE GOOD TO YOURSELF!!!

Very much so! Don't be discouraged! I find that I usually have a very good week the next week, after I have a slight gain at a weigh in. I think it's because of water retention or what you ate the night before -- like a high sodium meal. Don't be so hard on yourself! I have to remind myself of this too!

I think 1.4 is great!!! It's a safe and consistent weight loss.....Congrats!

I think it just gets harder when you are close to your goal and don't have as much to lose. I've been experiencing that too! But I think sticking with it no matter what is what gets us to our goal eventually!!! Per your stats, I think you are doing great!!

I faced my one and only Memorial Day weekend cookout yesterday. It was at work and they had grilled filet mignon, breaded chicken breast, salad, baked beans, a pasta dish (with ground beef), potato chips, and brownies. I had a piece of steak approximately 3 ounces and the rest of my plate was salad veggies with no dressing. The steak was awesome and only 4 pp. (I looked it up on the etools beforehand.)

So I didn't go over on my points yesterday....sweet

Hi all,

I'm considering trying WW. I lost well with Atkins...twice I tried JUDDD last year, but have been gaining and losing the same few pounds for over 6 months probably because my up days were too high.

I'd like to try WW, probably online. Having turned 50 last year, I know my losses will be slow. I just want to find something I can do for life. I am good about getting exercise in. I spin 4 times a week, but I would like to add some weight training.

You might want to try an 8 hour eating window. I tried JUDD for just a week or 2 and got to where I was dreading the down days.

It takes a few weeks to get used to. I have been doing it for a year now and I'm amazed at how much it has tamed my hunger. My window is 11-7 but most days I quit eating at about 5-6.

I fill up on mostly veggies, low point protein for lunch and snack and then use most of my points for dinner.

Good morning!

Carol Ann, you have done so well!

Hope everyone had a good weekend. I went grocery shopping yesterday and brought my lunch and snacks today. This is going to be my biggest goal for this month -- reduce my daily overspending on fast food & "convenience" foods from gas stations nearby.

Thanks!

My dh had good results with the 8 hour diet. I tried it and gained weight because I ate anything I wanted during my window (like the book said) That's why JUDDD didn't work for me either. I stopped counting and started eating anything I wanted on the up days.

I just have to accept that I can't eat whatever I want in the amount I want

I am 67 and I still don't get it. But if I behave myself , it comes off. I'm one of those people , that if I read the book and go to bed , I think I am going to weigh less in the morning LOL It's simple. YOU CAN'T DO IT ( eat all you want and what you want ) LOL

Well I am back from my vacation in Oklahoma City. Was great I didn't eat perfect but I think I only gained a pound but pounds are not a good souvenir! So first thing today I was right back at it and planned my points for the day. Friday after the storms I had a few unplanned drinks but I think if I didn't I would have sat down and cried.

I did manage to go last Sunday to a meeting and was happy I stuck with that part. Nice people and would not mind if I had to move there and go all the time.

I hope everyone has a great week and sticks to the plan.

Thanks for the pats on the back everyone

I went for my meeting and weigh-in Wednesday, and I'm happy to report that I was down 2.2 pounds That puts me at 182.6 now. I haven't seen this weight in years.

Barb ~ I tried for a year to stay on an intermittent fasting program. I tried all lengths of eating windows and couldn't stick to it without eating really bad stuff. I'd get hungry and binge during my window. It might have worked if I was trying to maintain, but my weight would fluctuate up and down with no real progress. I had given up ever losing weight until I started WW. I will never look back

My next personal goal is to get to a 50 lb. loss, which will be 6.8 more lbs. And in 2.8 lbs. I'll be in the 170's.

One big change I've made in the past couple of weeks is that I don't allow myself to sit after work and play my facebook games. I am a fanatic with one in particular, and it was adding a lot to my inactivity. I was walking 30 minutes on the treadmill every day after work and hating it. Now I prop my laptop on my treadmill in front of me and play my game while I walk. I am walking an average of 1 and 1/2 hours per weekday and 2 hours each weekend day. The time flies! I don't allow myself to get on the game without the treadmill. I'm loving it

Any advice is always welcome...thanks!

My advice is track your food and remember everything you put in your mouth you own! I work hard at this since I'm already a slow loser so I make sure I remember I own that food and think hard if it is worth it.

what I had to do - think before you eat anything (even low points) - is this point worthy? Do I really want it or just bored? Can I portion it out and have only a bite and be satisfied? I really had to do that. It's about making choices. And...faithfully tracking your food.

That is what works and I am not doing it and I am not losing either. I hate tracking , but I have to learn to like it or its not going to work. I think it is the learning the point value of everything that is keeping me from doing it.
