Actually, my scale was showing no loss, but this is the first week I've weighed on it since starting WW on January 2nd. At my weigh-in, I had lost 2 lbs

Good job! I only record the weight at my WW meetings. Since I'm paying them $50 a month to weigh me it must be correct, right?![]() |

Last week I had a HUGE gain that spanned a 2 week time period. I am going to humble myself and tell you guys that i actually gained 11 pounds last week.
Tonight, at the weigh in, I lost 5.8 pounds of that. I can live with that. I also have made some decisions about the "pantry". I am not going to buy ANYTHING that I have portion control issues with.....except bananas....LOL no more Special K chips, crackers. NO MORE WW frozen ice cream novelties. NONE...NADA... ZIP.....I just cannot have them in the house right now. Dh is NOT gonna like this....but, OH WELL.... |

Does anyone still feel like they overeat? I always stay within my daily points range, but eat so many veggies that I am stuffed. I could eat less off them, but apparently I am afraid of being hungry. I feel like I am not teaching myself to stop eating when full. I become full, but not satisfied.
Does that make sense? |

HI! Mind if I join? I started WW 2/1 and so far have lost 4.8 lbs. DH and I are doing this together, but once he puts his mind to it, he can lose weight just by thinking about it.
I have 33 points per day right now, sometimes I use them all, sometimes not. I try to save my weekly allowance for the weekends. All of the WW recipes we have tried so far have been delicious, and they usually make enough that I have leftovers for lunch at work the next day. We also eat Subway sandwiches often, especially since this month most of the sandwiches are $5 for a footlong. I just split them up for 2 meals. The only processed stuff I really eat is the Special K protein drinks for breakfast, although the SK blackberry pastry crisps are realllly good.

Margo, I know what you mean. It is taking me awhile to know when I am really hungry. I can eat just a small amount and feel satisfied. Maybe 2 fists full of foods? If I eat more I am stuffed and it doesn't feel good. I tend to eat most of my veggies in the daytime and then not stress about them at night.
I have noticed that my hunger sort of flip flops. Really hungry one day, low hunger the next. I'm just rolling with it. I'm only feeling the real head hunger about every 4 days. I allow myself cookies or wine or whatever when it hits. I just count the points. Same with carby stuff. I fixed bacon/swiss burgers for dinner the other night. We also had tater tots. I usually would have a veggie fixed for me instead of the tots. This time I just enjoyed 11 of the for 3 points. We only keep tiny treats in the house that have to be cooked first. No impulsive binging that way. The dollar store sells snack size Betty Crocker cookie mix. The mix only makes 9 cookies, so with 3 of us you can't get into too much trouble. I'll use 9 flex points for 3 and be totally happy for the week. This seems to keep me from feeling so deprived. And I'm still losing weight! On strict Low Carb 3 cookies would have put on a pound. ValariI'm glad to hear that you are doing well. My DH did WW with me one year and cheated horribly and the weight just fell off. Me lose really fast. One of the guys in my group has lost 10 lbs. 2 weeks in a row. I look forward to trading recipes and tips with you. |

Another .8 lbs today.
I may see the 220's very very soon. I would LOVE to be under 200 by the time DS graduates from HS in June. My breakfast is generally the Special K strawberry banana protein drink and either 3/4 cup of dry Honey Nut Cheerios (8pts) ( I have always eaten cheerios right out of the box, I am not a milk person) or a SK fruit crisp. Lunch today was 4 oz of leftover lean roast beef, some grape tomatoes and an orange.(4pts) Dinner is barley meatloaf and brown rice with red beans on the side. (10 pts) DH has taken a liking to apples, ( the man has never eaten fruit) he slices them and sprinkles cinnamon on them. Yummy and healthy, and makes for a nice dessert. I might try throwing them in the microwave to warm them and soften it up a bit. |

Hi all!
I did Atkins years ago, lost 80 lbs and then have gradually gained 60 lbs (yikes) back. I need the structure of WW, but am going to keep as low carb as possible, since I know the are my downfall. I was beyond thrilled to discover this group and look forward to getting to know all of you. My first major goal is to get down to 199 lbs by my friend's wedding in late July. 58 lbs to go! Good luck all! |

Hi Jsmart and Rose!! I'm glad to see some more WW peeps here.
Rose, are you trying to stay within a certain number of points for the smoothie? I go to WW but don't do the dairy. I make a 3pt shake with 1 cup Almond Milk, Blueberries and Protein Powder. You can add Yogurt or Peanut Butter. I know some folks who add Kale and even coffee for a morning pickup. I didn't go for my meeting today cuz I'm swamped! My home weigh in was down 1.8 for the week. |

The lowest point are now 26 unless you are using an old guide. I know some of the sites have the old points and then the Power Plus points.
I've used Almond Milk for a few years, so I'm used to it. 1 pt. per cup. The shake I have been making is very watery, so not like a smoothie. You would need something to thicken it up. LOL, I'm not a dairy or yougurt girl. The blueberries are zero points, but I keep fruit to a minimum. I use them for some sweetness. If it was for a whole meal I might try adding in some peanut butter or almond butter. I am using just a plan blender also. If you had something like a Vitamix you could really add in veggies like Spinach and Kale. |

Yea Wednesday! Thank goodness for fruit! I have a business dinner with DH and his people tomorrow night. It will be at a Hibachi steak house. I will be consuming fruits and veggies all day so I can enjoy my sushi, miso soup, steak and fried rice. I will probably not see the 220's on Friday morning like I had hoped. Maybe Saturday...

Weighed in today - no loss, but it is ToM, so hopefully that means a big whoosh in the next few days since I normally pack on 5 lbs or so in water weight.
I had an english muffin with poached egg and cheese for breakfast which has just about the right balance of carbs and protein to not throw my stomach off. I am not a breakfast eater, but I've been trying harder lately since I know I eat more of my points at night. Trying to get away from that bad habit! Good luck all and happy Valentine's!

Happy Friday. I need to do some seriously planning and get back tracking every bite of food. And...I need to start up the water again - for some reason I haven't been drinking much lately and I can tell. It's the weekend - everyone stay strong!

TGIF to you all!
OMG I have been so sick with this head cold! and it pretty much knocked me of track! I was not tracking at all! Just wondering why all those meds not working sigh! or not well anyway.. and maybe they do work and I would be lots worse off? I missed my WW meeting last saturday.. just was to sick to go. but I am going tomorrow! I don't think I will show a loss, and hoping no gain! Went out for Dinner with my DH last night and had a wonderful time. I did stay in control and brought 1/2 of my meal home.. did splurge on a glass of wine and desert! but again, it was under control and I felt good about that. Neighbor brought over two big bags of bagels. She works for a bakery and she said they are left overs and they would just throw them away. so DH grabbed both bags! LOL I froze one bag and I had 1/2 bagel for my breakfast! and I could have eaten more, but.. I was satisfied with just 1/2! Today is payday for us.. and my costco shopping day.. need to get dog food... and very little else..But never know what I find! I love the skinny pop, popcorn! they have it there and it is so good! but my ww meeting is tomorrow... and that alone should be motivation enough for me to stay away from temptations! you all have a great day..

Today was my weigh in, even after last night it was a loss for the week but still not in the 220's. Today was a good day, my protein shake for breakfast, 1/2 a subway sandwich for lunch and the other half for dinner. Some fruit, not as much as usual though.
