Sure, cauliflower is great roasted. I love almost all veggies roasted.

My new job is great for staying on plan. I don't have any time to eat during the day other than at lunch. It's good. And I have decided to use some (possibly all) weekly points for a baguette and cheese and wine on the weekends so long as I have worked out consistently during the week. Hopefully I can strike a balance between staying on track and enjoying everything that France has to offer.

well on WW you have to make up your own low carb food plan! LOL there is no low carb so to speak. there was something a few years ago, called CORE. and I think that was lower carbs...

I just joined WW also for accountability primarily and want to follow as LC as possible. I also disagree with the low fat suggestions, icky. That being said, how would I count points for higher fat version of dressings, dairy etc.?

well I go for the low fat, but Fat Free is not what I am looking for! I noticed that a lot of the fat free, and many of the low fat products are loaded with sugars and chemicals.. and not so good stuff.
so yes.. I take the reduced fat.. and the lower fat.. over the NO fat.. and yes.. I also prefer the "regular" products.. but.. sigh.. sometimes the are costly in pts

Hey there! I actually was surprised to find that if I followed linda sue's induction menu to a T I was under for the day, if not right at my points. The only real thing that I am doing to lower my fat is if it calls for 2Tbs...I use 1 Tbs or half HWC and half almond milk. I am not about to buy the stuff that has the chemicals in it. I am lucky though that when I am in Ketosis i really do lose a lot of my apetite. I am lucky also in that I get like 43 points a day so if i need to use all of my points that really is a lot of food! I'm still watching my carbs and sticking with induction veggies etc.

The one thing that I am having trouble with is I haven't seen yet on WW where I can mind all the nutrients for my entries. I know how to get my points...but I want to see my carbs! I REALLY don't want to have to put them in to another tracker also to see carbs! UGH double work! lol

pibble, that makes sense to use half of the real fat stuff. I am allotted 35 points. I will do the best I can. I am in agreement with you and Monika, I won't buy the fat free stuff because they replace it with crap.

I have done atkins twice before and never lost....but i lost on SB. I THINK ( who really knows at this point lol) that i am one of those who just needs to watch carbs AND fat. So, I'm truly hoping that WW lets me do that w/ the tracking and using more lc veggies and less fat.

Let's be LCWW buddies! lol We CAN do this!!

Good Morning! I pretty much for the most eat just the Power Foods but like you stay away from bread. Mornings I have eggwhites, mushrooms and tomatoes with Fiber One Bran Cereal with blueberries. Lunch is always a salad during the week and dinner Chicken, Pork Chops or Cornish Hen with a green vegatable and Popcorn for dessert.

However, I did make the WW Shepherds pie Sunday and omitted the flour and it was delicious. I have leftovers so I will have it tonight.

Weekends I can not resist Beanito Chips (which is not on the Power Food List) they are made with 100% black beans, sunflower oil and sea salt, put FF cheese with salsa and microwave so cheese melts and that is one great nacho dish.

Most Important and I do believe this has helped me maintain is drinking 64 oz of water everyday. That is all I drink except coffee in the morning and of course my wine on weekends.

Last I run 4 miles every morning at 5am and Kettlebells 3-4 x week.

Thats it!

Good luck Carol Ann.

I'm not sure how it is going to work out for me this week. This is my birthday week. I say week, b/c it seems that there are seperate celebrations...ice cream cake at work, lunch from co-workers, dinner with hubs, weekend w/sister. Too bad that I can't them all together for the one celebration meal or at least day.
Oh well, doesn't come around but once a year (thank God), so no need to complain - it beats the alternative every day.

Have a great week everyone!

Somehow I've managed to lose 2 more pounds! I swear, I'm my own worst enemy trying to do it.
Still haven't got my butt in gear with exercising, but I am feeling better and more energetic just from watching my eating.
Good luck to everyone! And Rotay, you're right, you do only have your birthday time-week-once a year. Enjoy it and Happy Birthday!

I have been a bit out of contact...but I enjoy reading all of your posts. At the end of week three, I am down 7.4, so it's moving in the right direction.
Happy birthday Rotay, my birthday is the 3rd, but I am planning in staying on plan.

Well, I only showed 0.8 of a pound loss. But that's 12 in the past 4 weeks so I'm pretty happy

Hi guys! Is it OK if I join in here? I rejoined WW on 01/22/2013. I've been a member off and on for the last 10 years. I'm comfortable with the tracking system and really enjoying it so far. I'm doing mostly no processed carbs, no dairy and still doing the IF with it. I'm surprisingly NOT that hungry this time around. I am eating alot of veggies and my energy is through the rooof this week.

First weigh in yesterday was down 4.2 lbs. I don't expect that to continue but was very motivated by it. It's keeping me away from the Wine store for now.

Congrats to you losers.

Erin, welcome on board.

I haven't been 100% perfect since joining on Saturday. In fact, tracking points (food and activity) has been a bit daunting. I would just assume write it down and not figure points etc. I make so many dishes that use multiple, whole foods, that entering each item is a pain in the rear.

Does everyone track everything?

I also broke down and bought nonfat greek yogurt yesterday. I am a full fat gal, maybe that is why I am having weight issues Anyways, it wasn't that bad with strawberries and stevia mixed in.

So, I have a friend who joined WW and told me that they offer a LC plan...I signed up

[I am going to keep playing on the website and find my way around! Ideally, I would love to follow Linda Sue's menues etc for my plan and incorporate them into my WW plan....at least for the three months I have paid for. How is the plan working for everyone else? How do ya'll incorporate LC into the plan?

Have a fabulous sunday! My spinach bacon crustless quiche is almost done!~ I can smell it![/QUOTE]

I am not sure how to reply to a post. I messed up yesterday replying so not sure if this will work. I also did SB with success prior to WW but I use WW Simply Filling Technique (SFT) program which is very similar to SB and I have lost weight and have been maintaining. I love the program and there is a group Simply Filling Technique which is great. Hope this helps and hope I responed correctly.

Good morning all! Vicki- I was thinking about you last night. I wanted to find the points in fried zucchini. I went to Allrecipes site and looked up the recipe for it. They have nutritional info for all their recipes.

Could you find a recipe similar to what you are cooking and use the nutritional info there?

Erin, yes I could try that. I didn't stay last week after the meeting for the instructions since I had to be elsewhere. I am going to weigh in and stay after the meeting tonight in my home town. I don't expect a loss either since I haven't really been following anything right now.

Still getting over the flu - so I've been missing lately. Welcome to our new folks. Happy Birthday to Rotay60. Ah...having the flu helped shed the rest of that holiday weight. This week I didn't eat much but I'm feeling better today so it's back to the store to stock up on fruits/vegs/good choices. I did have weigh-in but it's due to the flu I'm not posting it as a victory. I'm sure the minute I start eating again it will back to last week's weight. It's still ok.

It is a program from WW where you just eat the food on the Power Food list only. WW doesnt adverstise or give alot of info but it is a great program and I lost 25lbs and have been maintaining. There is also a group on WW sites called SFT (Simply Filling Technique). It is a much healthier way of eating. There is also a group on Facebook so between both groups you can learn and get new ideas and recipes. Hope this helped.

Welcome newcomers and congratuations to everyone's losses and NSVs!

My birthday was Sunday, and Saturday I consumed copious amounts of wine, made pretty good food choices and am pleased with a .4 loss this week. I was afraid of a gain. Seriously, if I counted all of my wine points, I would be in hock with my weekly points for a few weeks. I love the flexibility of this plan!

Happy Birthday Margo! I totaly get the wine thing. It is my weekness.

Hi all. My weigh in was today and I was down 3.0 lbs. I was a little surprised but I'll take it!

I ate REALLY well this week, used up all my flex points and daily points but didn't go over. I can't think of one thing that I really wanted that I didn't eat. That includes homemade cookies, Sushi, wine, fried squash, sausage and waffles. I just counted the points for them.

I made some really good Thai Peanut sauce this week. I used Almond Butter instead of peanut butter. It is very high in points but I didn't need alot. It is VERY filling. I'm trying to get my protein up so I've been eating some fish and shrimp for dinner. 24 medium shrimp is only 4 pts and I count 5 for the Peanut Sauce. I'm toying with some WOW protein powder this week to get some extra protein. It's unflavored but I'm going to add some blueberries and almond milk and see what I get.

If you haven't tried the Mezzetta stuffed olives, trust me they are good!! I get the garlice stuffed. 6 very large ones are 2 pts. They are bit pricey at $5.79 a jar but worth it. I get them at Kroger but I saw them at Walmart and they were a bit cheaper. Each olive is stuffed with a large garlic clove. All that garlic should keep away cold, flu and vampires.

I tried the low carb tortilla's this week. They were a no go for me. All that oat fiber did not agree with me. I used to get horrible pains years ago when I ate Fiber One bars. I'll stick with the regular ones and just count the points.

Today is weigh-in My scale is showing no loss whatsoever this week. I've eaten healthy and within my points, but I've done no walking. I hurt a rib somehow last week. I heard a huge pop that scared me to death. I knew it wasn't broken because I could still take deep breaths without pain. Now it has slowly become more tender and hurts too much to jar it by walking on the treadmill. I guess it's some soft tissue injury. From what I've heard from other people with this, it's probably a rib that popped out of place and there's not a lot to be done for it except a slow healing process.

This sucks. I hate bad numbers on the scale.

Actually, my scale was showing no loss, but this is the first week I've weighed on it since starting WW on January 2nd. At my weigh-in, I had lost 2 lbs
