I know that our logical minds tell us that if we eat less then we will lose faster, however, posted results seem to indicate otherwise. Eat up!!

Hi. I am a WW member who had lots of success LC in the past, but gained it ALL back.
With WW, I'm losing so slowly so I considered going back to Atkins, but decided I would stay on WW, but do LC for the most part. Someone in the ML made a good point. Why do I want to do both? I think I really want to be able to have my fruits and meetings with accountability but I don't want the carbs. I want faster loss. I guess I'm still kinda floundering a bit. ![]()

I try to eat all my daily points. Some days I don't but it's rare. This week I used my weekly points and some activity points -- -I have never done this before so we'll see what the scale says tomorrow. I am hoping I am down to what I was 2 weeks ago (since I had a gain last week). So...2 rather bad weeks in a row - yikes. But, today I feel good - I went golfing - and it's time to go to bed and wait for tomorrow morning's big weigh-in.
Rotay60 - funny you posted about chicken/veggies -- that's what I had today.... yum. |

Good morning all. Good luck on weigh in hockeymom. I have had a pretty good week considering I only had 10 weeklies as of Monday. I was actually down to my lowest yesterday morning. However, I think that I might have messed up last night. My mom cooked....chicken wings deep fried. So, I had a few and a salad and 2 light beers. This caused me to have to use all daily points, plus all of weeklies. (maybe more, as this was an estimate). I still have a few APs, but probably won't use them. I hope that it doesn't mess up the scale for me tomorrow. I was in the 137.? range and today back to 138. What is it about "hump" day that seems to mess with me???? I want to the gym last night and will go back this morning, hopefully with that and lots of water, I will do ok. Have a great day all.
Oh, and welcome to the board Tina. I am the one that directed you our way, so I hope that you will feel right at home here. Don't be afraid of weight watchers, it is very adaptable. |

![]() Good luck Hockeymom!! I went this morning and got my marriage license!! We are getting married July 23rd and I was wondering, does anyone have any short term goals? I want to lose at least 20 (would prefer 30 lol) by the time I get married. It seemed easier to estimate when doing lc vs ww... low carb I figured about 10lbs per month, but the two months I've been on ww so far I averaged 12.2 lbs 1st month and only 6.6 total the second? I managed to lose the excess weight from the other night, so I'm currently down to my lowest in years at 181.2. Hopefully I can maintain that and maybe another pound for Saturday weigh in. Hope everyone has a great day!!

Finally got started yesterday. Ate all 29 points plus an activity point.
Today I did not plan well for work, so only had coffee and an ounce of almonds while there (and a diet soda.) Went shopping after work and came home and had a slice of whole wheat apple cinnamon bread (yum!!), three cherry tomatoes, 1/2 cup whole milk plain yogurt, tea with splenda, and some steamed kale. I have to say, the kale was vile. Very strong. But I have read it is healthy, so I will eat it. I am at my highest non-pregnant weight ever. But I have now two OP days under my belt. feels good to be back on track.

Kristy, congratulation on your upcoming wedding. You can achieve your goal on WW. In the past I lost quicker on LC but it came back - for me it was just harder to stay on it long term. It's been 3 months for me but I'm at 18 lbs. lost. I feel so good - I just feel healthy.
Ok - well - as you all know I had a little melt down this weekend - 3 bad days of eatting. I used all my weekly points which is something I haven't done. Actually - to be honest I went into the hole on points so I used my activity points. Weigh in yesterday --- down 1.4 lbs. So...I'll take it!!! I think it's true - you do need to strive to get all your points in each day but ... eat the right things. There are so many 0 or low point foods that you should never be hungry. Let's talk that nasty Kale -- let me just say I could have never ate that stuff before WW. Yuck. But, if you make Kale chips with it -- oh yum yum. You need to take off that thick stem - cut up the leaves in bite size pieces - spray with Pam cooking spray, sprinkle with seasoning (I use sea salt) - bake in the oven until crisp. They are so yummy. I made an entire bag and my son and I ate the 2 cookie sheets full of them. So, you might want to try it. All my coworkers are hooked on them. Thankfully it's Friday --- so much yard work to do this weekend - I'm hoping I can squeeze in some golf. |

Well I am on my way to my meeting. My at home weigh in looks good. Of course, I am holding off on my coffee until after I am weighed, which I said that I was not going to do because it is not reality. I will work on that next week. I am really going to focus on doing SFT this week even though tonight I will be having spaghetti with real pasta noodles. this was an already planned meal with mom. I will weigh and measure though. I will report back later. Hope everyone's day is great.

I will try the kale chips, thanks.
I can eat it. I like collards and turnip greens...not too far off from that. Just stronger and bitter. A friend of mine has MS and it is on the MS diet...supposed to be good for us. Today will be day three!! |

Ok, so I was down 3.8 from last weigh in So actually my total in 6 weeks is 6 pounds. Since I wasn't actually following the plan because I kept going back and forth between low carb and weight watchers, I will definitely take it. I am looking forward to following SFT this week. So far today, I have had 1 egg, 1 piece Canadian bacon for breakfast. For lunch, 2 cups of milk with WW smoothie and frozen peaches added. Tonight I am planning on blackened tilapia pan fried in coconut oil, broccoli slaw with full fat mayo, and 1/2 sweet potato with light butter. I will count points for the oil, mayo and butter. I might count some of the fat toward my 2 tsps of oil??? Also might have a beer or two, or might wait until tomorrow night, we'll see.

My weigh in is tomorrow and I'm only only line at work M-F so I'll check back in on Monday. I'm in at 181 even today, so I'm hoping for any type of loss to register tomorrow. Hope everyone has a great weekend!! |
