Today's Menu: B - homemade oatmeal muffin, 1/2 banana L - Chicken, salad, 1/2 apple baked D - (wanting mexican) 1/4 cup homemade bean dip, taco shells with salsa, lettuce, a little cheese, pumpkin dessert Have a great evening, Hope |

I also think it is fascinating to see other people's menus. I seem to need to eat much, much more than a lot of people. Wonder why that is. Anyway, I create lots of volume with 0 point veggies. Here is my menu today. I pretty much do a variation on this every day unless I go out.
B - 1 c NF Greek yogurt (3 pts) with 1 nectarine (0) and 1/2 oz walnuts (3 pts), 3 cups coffee (0 pts) S: 2 hard boiled eggs (4 pts) L: Big salad with roasted butternut squash (0), eggplant (0), zucchini (0), arugula (0), grape tomatoes (0), 1/2 cup quinoa (3), 1/2 oz goat cheese (1), 1 T olive oil (4), vinegar (0) S: pear (0) D: TJ's spicy jalepeno chicken sausage (3), sauteed green peppers and onions (0), and another big salad with spinach (0), mushrooms (0), tomatoes (0), 1 oz gorgonzola (3), 1/2 oz walnuts, and 1 T olive oil (4) and vinegar |

banana bread for camping!!
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------- From Robb Wolf's site: Paleo Banana Bread Gluten-free, grain-free, dairy-free Ingredients 2 cups almond flour 1/4 cup flaxseed meal 2 tsp cinnamon 1 tsp baking soda 1 tsp baking powder 2/3 cup chopped nuts (I used pecans) 4 really ripe bananas (mashed well) 2 tbsp local honey 4 eggs 1 tsp vanilla extract Directions Preheat oven to 375 degrees F. Sift the dry ingredients together in a large bowl. In a separate bowl, add the mashed bananas, eggs, honey, and vanilla and mix well. Make a well in the dry ingredients and pour in the wet ingredients. Stir until combined. Normally with breads or muffin recipes, you don’t want to overmix, but since there’s no gluten here, mix to your heart’s content. The muffins won’t get gummy or icky. Fill greased muffin tins, baking cups, mini-loaf pans or big loaf pans about 3/4 full. Bake muffins for 23-25 minutes and loaves for 30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean. Let cool slightly and enjoy with a pat of almond butter, coconut oil or grass-fed butter. Mmmm. Copied this from the recipe section where I found it (I hope it's ok, cuz I dont know how to post links on here). I believe it's from Robb Wolf's site. This recipe makes 36 mini muffins for me, and I cut the bake time to 15 minutes. If you make the mini muffins, it equals 2 points plus each |

Good morning ladies, I've been so busy the last few days!! I didn't do so well this week for weigh in, gained 3.8lbs and I know why. I've been going over points and not calculating as well as I did the first week. The beauty is that today starts a new week so I can turn it around.
Congrats to all the losers!!! ![]() And to those still holding on...taking it one day at a time. ![]() |

Morning! Today was WI. I only lost .4 this week. I kind of expected a teeny number after last week's unexpected big drop. Plus, I seem to lose either scale weight or inches, but not both at the same time. So hopefully I got a bit smaller this week even though the scale doesn't show it.
Anyway, I am on plan and working out. Hope everyone else is too! |

Good morning.
Had a good day on plan yesterday. Weight stayed the same, but clothes are getting looser. Takes a few days for my body to get used to eating fruits and veggies and more carbs after coming off of low carb. Really enjoying all of the fruits that are so good for me and blood sugar readings are good, too. Am finding that I can eat a lot of carbs that I didn't think I could eat because of blood sugar issues. Today's menu: B - oatmeal muffin w oleo L - Zuchinni with parm cheese, chicken, baked apple. D - Not sure yet - will be making a recipe, pumpkin dessert Have a great day, Hope |

Annabelle...unfortunately I have to calculate everything as well...what I do..is have to google nutritional value of whatever...then when I get that pulled up.. I then pull up an online Weight Watchers calculator and do it that way...I don't go to meetings because they closed up the one near me...and it's too far to go.. and I don't like the online stuff.. so this is the way I do it... or if it's a packaged item, I take the package to the calculator....I think when you commit to work a little bit at it, it makes it more a commitment if that makes sense...
Happy Friday all. and congrats on your weight losses... |

Good morning ladies.
tttmom~thanks for posting your menu as we get the same amount of points. I sometimes post in my journal here on lcf but I usually change it at the last minute. This week, I'm going to really concentrate on saving a lot of weekly points and see if I can come down after the gain. Annabelle~it would be hard to calculate without knowing the product name, fat, fiber, carb, etc. because it's needed to use for the online calculator on the WW site. Like Crazymom said, there is a free online calculator you can use to get point value...it's the same one used for WW I believe, but I don't have the link. I'm sorry..hope you can figure it out. ![]() Murray~congrats on the loss!! It all adds up!Hockeymom~ I ate birthday cake from a team meeting on Wednesday, not included in points so that definitely contributed to my gain..along with other days. I'm determined to not make that mistake again this week. The salt probably was a contributor in your case. If you weigh again during the week, it'll probably show the loss from it. As you said, it happens..moving on. Hope~Glad to see you taking that 'plunge' to add more carbs and fruit. It's harder some days than others to let that low carb mentality go. Yesterday I was feeling I needed to go back to lower carb to get off the excess weight. Today I'm reminding myself to trust in the plan and know that it works, just counting points. ![]() Rotay and anyone else I missed. Happy Friday! |

Hi All,
I joined WW on Tuesday 09/18 and I will admit it’s been VERY hard. I’m giving this a try, I couldn’t stay dedicated to LC and I’m hoping, praying that I stick with this. |

Hi Sweety and welcome aboard. I have only been at this for a week and am just doing it on my own since I live so far from a meeting. Since I am old and coming off of low carb, I haven't seen much of a loss as yet. Since I am getting to eat a lot of the things that I couldn't eat on low carb, I am really happy with the plan. My blood sugar has improved and am eating fruits that I never thought I would be able to eat and keep the my numbers low.
Lost around 40# over a long period of time on low carb, but just got so I wasn't losing. Since I am pretty close to my goal, it will probably be very slow. Know you will do fine. Good luck with your journey and I am here for support if you need it. Hope |

Ok, so I officially went back to weight watchers today. I had maintained since leaving in June, which is definitely better than gaining, but I was truly hoping for additional loss. Unfortunately day one has not gone as planned, so I will definitely be working up some activity points this week. I am going grocery shopping tomorrow to get all the necessities so that I can be better prepared.
Welcome to all the newbies. Just an fyi, I am a former WW, lifetimer actually. Lost 40 pounds in the past. The program does work when you do it. I got off plan, gained some weight back, and bought that I would try low carb this time around. LC just did not seem to work for me without doing a lot of tweaking. I do believe that we should limit carbs, but I also think that fruit should be ok too. Understand?? Anyway, good luck to all. Hellooooooo Penny, where are you? Don't you weigh in Fridays? Miss you when you don't post. |
