I am winging in right now. I found a site that calculated points for the day. I am at 29 and I go over every day. IDK... still thinking about it.

Good morning everyone! This summer has been crazy, so I never did check in again on here. About a week ago, my dad asked me to go to a WW meeting with him, because he wants to start up again. He didnt want to go alone, so I went, and I'm so glad I did! It is so nice to go there and talk to others in the same boat, and have the accountability of attending the meetings. Meetings and weigh ins are on Monday for us. Been doing good since then, and am down a few pounds. They gave me 27 points, and it seems pretty easy and satisfying. Talk to you all soon!

With the online calculator you have weekly points added too. For example my daily points are 26 but my weekly points are 49..or close to that number. So I could pull from my weekly points every day or just use them for a big event or don't touch them at all. I find myself usually pulling from them everyday except for after Saturday (ate them all or most during that day...Famous Dave's). You said you have a daily allowance of 49 right? What are your weekly points?

Ceecee, is the weight that you list in your profile correct? If so, 29 is probably too low - of course you are going over. I started at 230 and had 33 points. My last weigh in was just over 213 and I have 31 points. I guess there are other factors like activity level, age, height, etc, but I think you should check again.

Weigh in was this morning. I don't know what happened, but without changing anything I lost five pounds this week. That's way outside my normal 1.5 to 2 lb weekly loss rate. Maybe I was retaining water and I let it go? Anyway, I am not whining about it!

Penny, how did you do yesterday?

I hope everyone has something fun planned for the weekend!

Good morning,
May I join? I just started WW this morning and have been doing low carb for a long time and have lost approx. 40#. But, since I am fairly close to goal, I would love to shake it up a little and think I will enjoy doing WW.

WOW - cool! So cool. I know - it's weird - sometimes you just can't explain it. Enjoy it. I had weigh-in yesterday and I was down .6 but that's good news since I'm trying to do maintenance. I want to get the hang of that while we still have our WW person coming to work. I ate clean, mostly low carb this week and didn't use any of my weekly points (which is very unusual to me).

Good luck this weekend everyone.

I'm new myself, just a week in. Congrats on the loss through low carb. I think a shake up is good. Low Carb stopped working as well as it did in the past and since I've changed it up, the losses are coming again. Glad you're here.

I had some chicken dumpling soup last night for 8 points!! and enjoyed every last drop...usually I would have had more, but I stayed with the portion, which is 3/4 of it for me...

Murray- Congrats on the loss!
Hopetolose- , I'm new here too. Not new to the boards, but new to WW and this thread.

Last night I used a couple of my weekly points (we went out to dinner). And today I'm going to lunch, so I hope there will still be a loss at WI in Mon. WW seems so much less restrictive than what I'm used to.
I plan on going for a big hike up in the mountains with my kids and dogs this weekend. A friend told me about a new trail (new to me) that has great views of Tahoe. Gotta check it out
Anyone else have anything fun planned for this weekend? How's everybody doing?

LOL.cant reach it! It's really trying to ease out of low carb, which besides portion control, made it successful.. it's like my mindset won't leave low carb....

WOW Murray!! That is so awesome!
I was back OP yesterday and today! yay! I went to my WI today and was up .2 so I can live with that and forge ahead. I bought a new daily points tracker book so that I could "start over" today. I stocked up on all my favorites and am hoping to get the momentum going again. Here's to success for us all!

Isn't it great that you can have your favorites but just smaller portions. Or, I've also learned to make some of my favorites 'skinny' - it's not as hard as you think. I've also enjoyed a lot of new WW recipe websites (google them there are tons of them). Our instructor told us "the first bite and the last bite are the best - enjoy them and don't focus on the portion in between". I think of that often when I really want a bite of something I probably shouldn't have but just HAVE to.

Thanks Hockeymom...my week hasn't been too successful. As I said I am trying to take my mind out of low carb.. and I don't know why I am having so much trouble just letting go of it...I like to make a big Sunday dinner and I am going to google WW salad recipes...thanks for all your help.. it makes me feel so much better..

Hello to everyone and hope all are having a wonderful weekend.
I have stayed on plan and feel great. Was down a # today - 140.2. Hope it sticks and can hardly wait to be back in the 30's again.
Am just trying to take it slowly this time and not get discouraged as I have in the past. I am trying to choose my foods wisely and eating what I know is good for me first and then the little treats. I used to get this backwards .
