So far today.....
B - coffee, h&h, Atkins cafe mocha Sn - watermelon L- leftover grilled shrimp, broccoli slaw stir fry S - probably ground beef patty and either more stir fry or cole slaw made with the broccoli slaw. Love broccoli slaw, can you tell? It is so convenient. For cole slaw, just add mayo and dash of Splenda, can add sunflower seeds if desired. For stir fry, add a little oil in pan, shake out slaw from package, add a bit of onion, fry - yum. |

I had my weigh in today and lost 3.2! I got my first 5 lb sticker. Not sure what to do with it, I just put it in my tracker. It's a nice little reminder to keep me on track though. Hope you all have a great day! |

Thank you Rotay! Oh and I understand what you mean about holidays. It was so hard not to give in yesterday, but I knew I would have to weigh in this morning. I also have my son's birthday on Sunday and we will be celebrating over the weekend with family. It's nice knowing I have my weekly points as coverage. I'm going to plan ahead and make sure I know how much cake I can have...haha.

Good luck. I don't think that you will go wrong by signing up, at least you will find out if this is or is not the plan for you. |

I have a question for you LC'ers doing WW. Atkins/LC wants you to eat full fat dairy/cheese, but ww pushes for reduced fat and fat free. What do you eat? |

Thanks Beachmom & Rotay! I'm down another lb. I skipped last week so that was really for two weeks. The past two weeks were a struggle. After my WI's I always mentally start over and this week I really need that. I know I'll have more tough weeks but I'm glad it's over for now. I feel ready to forge ahead! My birthday is in a little over a month and I'd like to lose another 5 lbs. by then. I think that's doable

I've decided to give up on WW
It was fun and different, but I think ultimately it kept leading me back to the realization that I have to track. Truth be told, when I had the most success with Atkins, I was tracking everything that went into my mouth. I'm going back to that because I know it worked before. I wish you all much success! |

What version of WW were you on that you did not track?
For me I find with WW I actually track what I am eating. On Atkins I did not, and I think that is what got me into trouble. |

Well I am just totally sick at myself. Been off plan since the 4th. Feeling, fat and disgusted. I can't seem to get it back together. Also found out that a friend was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer. I believe that she is only 42. Feeling really bummed out right now. Sorry to be such a downer. I will conquer this!

So sorry to hear about your friend. I lost a good friend in May with cancer (he was 47 with 3 small kids). It's so sad but it helped me realize that I needed to get into shape and take care of myself. You can't predict cancer but you can take control over your weight/health. Come on - you can do tihs!!! |

I'm excited to have found you all! |

I guess I worded that poorly. The tracking in WW reaffirmed for me the need to track in lc. In my last few attempts with lc (prior to starting WW) I thought I knew what to do and didn't see the need to track like I did when I had huge success with it. So now, I'm back to lc and tracking every carb. |

ok, why is it whenever I am doing LC, I want to do WW, and whenever I am doing WW, I want to do LC? Is it that I want my weight loss and carbs too? Is it just the idea of not being allowed to have something? Such a mind thing.

Good Morning! I would like to be a part of this group.
Lisa - I also do WW but I follow the SFT (Simply Filling Technique) where you just eat the foods on the Power List. Its more of a WW combined with Low Carbs and just a healthy way of eating. You can print the list on the website or google Simply Filling Technique. You change your set up on your food tracker to SFT so you only track the foods that are Non Power Foods. You use your weekly points for non power foods but I try to not use them at all. You can also use your activity points. They also have a group SFT where I can get ideas. Hope this helps. I like it. |

Welcome lharris! I do PP+WW but think when I get to goal, wherever/whenever that is, I'll switch to simply filling. Although I do have the tendencies to overeat! ha! We'll see if I can maintain doing SF, if not, I'll track for life if I have to to stay thin.

Great job Penny!
I wasn't very good this weekend. I ate all my weeklies and then some My weigh in is on Thursday morning, so hopefully it won't have affected me too much. I've learned my lesson though!I have been really curious about SFT as well, I'll have to look more into it. |

I don't know what I did special this week, but I am down 4 lbs since last Monday.
I too don't think I could do SFT. I overeat as well. That is why LC didn't work for me. I ate the LC stuff, but I ate too much of it and did not drop the weight. With WW while I can eat what I want, it forces me to limit it based upon the points I get. Last edited by LiRoGe88; 07-16-2012 at 09:03 AM.. |
