does closer to goal = slower loss?

Hi all I have been just low carb-ing in general for the last 11 months. I used to do atkins, pericone prescription, and have payed attention to the glycemic index in the past... and now I guess I do a combination of all the things that have helped me in the past... letting go of what hasn't worked and keeping what has. I have lost 60 pounds and have started plateau-ing more often than I used to. I have 43 more pounds to go, and am wondering if it is normal on the low carb way of eating to slow down in weight loss as you get closer to goal.

Hi, Shellbells. You posted this in a sub-forum, Other Plans.

You'll get lots of responses if you ask in the Main Forum, where many more folks will see it.

Many of us have found that our weight loss stopped, along the way.

Even in maintenance, I have to adjust and wait, evaluate, adjust again, etc.

All the best to you.
