Here is what Susan posted today while I was messing up the new thread.

Celebrate Lenise!!! That 1 is such a beautiful number. Mexican is hard to find something legal to eat. My first celebration meal is going to be Chipote's burrito bowl with chips.

Hope the knee gets better Amber and you figure out what is holding you back. You know you'll get below that 200 mark in time.

Hang in there everyone and we will make it through the holidays.

My weight is down a few pounds today. I really hate having to recycle through the pounds but rinsing and repeating is familiar to me unfortunately. Dreaming of being close to 180 before the Christmas food jumps into my mouth.

Pat are you hanging in? or was it all a ploy to get back in the wagon? ;)

Susan I hope the hunger isn't an issue today:hugs: I find it so hard on pp days anymore. I don't see how a l/c veggies or 2 can hurt:dunno:

wow it has been a while since I have been here and you guys are doing great:jumpjoy::jumpjoy:

I am still trying . Have not put all the 10 lbs on that I originally took off . I started back on yesterday and was not strict. I had to work and cooked pasta with sauage and beans. Plus apple crisp for dessert.
The saving grace was aoither girl stopped and got a salad from subway and we opened a can of chicken breast to put on top and shared it. The bad part was I tasted a couple beans to see if they were done and a couple bites of the dessert to see how it tasted. I should of taken everyones word for it.:(Also I ate a handfull of croutons before I went to bed. I did it out of habit without thinking.
I can't imagine getting down where you guys are but I am so inspired by all of you. Only 3 mts til our cruise and I would like some weight off. Right now I am working on the fist twenty eight...........22 to go:eek:

198.2 today!!!! Yahoo!!! Hope I don't mess up too badly tonight at Margaritta's!

Becky, have you tried a week of eating veggies every day but only at dinner time and pp the other meals? I did that for a while back at the beginning and still lost weight. I may try that again here and see how it goes. Like last night I had scalloped potatoes for dinner -- which I do not do very often -- along with my chicken, lima beans and salad. Then when I ate my lunch in the middle of the night (lol), I had my ff yogurt w/cinnamon and scrambled eggs w/hamburger meat broken into it.

I'll do a pp day tomorrow because of my mexican meal tonight, and then start alternating on Saturday. Hope this weight stays off for Monday's weigh in!!

Have to get ready to leave soon. Going to get some shopping done tonight!

I didn't do too bad tonight at dinner. It was SOOOOOOOOOOOOO good!! Not going to eat tonight unless I get hungry. If I do I'll just have some yogurt and meat.

191 today..... getting there.

Lenise you are doing great. We all have to fit this into our lives and just do our best on the ordinary days. I do have l/c veggies on most days even if just a bit. I figure I never got fat eating l/c veggies and should all come out in the wash. I do wish I had the willpower to just do pp on those days b/c I'd lose faster but slow and steady wins the race.

Cindy hope you can get a handle on this. You will enjoy the cruise so much more if you lose a big chunk before you go:clap:

becky we are going to Mt. Airy Casino for the weekend, Tony's mom lives near there and plays and won a 2 night stay so we are going! $300/night room, so I am going to live it up!!! Well I have $200 in stash to turn into say $40,000 that is what I need,LOL But it will be fun my hubby turns 50 next Fri but we are kid free this weekend!

Got yet another new plan to start Monday, this back and forth is killing me so going to try to shake it up again! Lower carb higher fat with a refeed day to replenish glycogen it says it is for weight trainers and people who exercise a lot,so as long as I dont get dizzy maybe these pounds will move, I think I at least saw I can eat and maintain and stay a certain weight but I got weight to lose!

TMV I like raw veggies so much when I am on plan. Never give them much thought other times. I have grown very fond of fresh broc./cauli and chopped gree onions mixed with a mixture of light mayo, splenda and white vinegar. Once I made up 3 batches and ate them all in one day. Oh course the original recipe with honey roasted peanuts, bacon and raisins added too tastes much much better:doh:

I'm at 199 today! So I didn't do too badly yesterday with my mexican meal. Still going to be drinking lots of water tonight at work. Having soup and salad tonight for dinner. Sounds REALLY good right now!

Becky, I still can't believe I'm in the 190's now!! Seems unreal!! It has been SO long since that has happened. You'll get in the 180's soon!!! You've done so well on this plan.

Craving gone! Better than eting everything under the sun to satisfy the beast! Now I can relaz and drink my Kombucha & have kefir tonight!

Faithful- now you are in maintenance, so when you really want something I think it is better to eat it and get it over with and then back on track, you usually feel worse after eating it and its not worth it!!

lenise- yeah!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I am hoping doing this moves some weight and I get to 198 soon!!!

Had a fun trip, I was so broke and won $400 on a slot, so now up $112 I got the heck out of there, we had a wonderful time and now I can be happy I am ahead and have some cash for NYC!!!!

I busted through so here's hoping. 189.2 today. Spending tomorrow baking with my d-i-l so have to resist for now.

I made the most wonderful Dukie friendly soup if anyone is interested. I used Cheri's southwestern taco soup recipe and used fat free cream cheese and skim milk in place of the high fat dairy. I thought it was out the world crazy good and will be a staple for me. Someone said not to freeze but I have some in the freezer so we shall see. I don't care much for a lot of cumin so I don't use nearly that much and also like a thicker soup and didn't use quite as much as it said but:yummy:

Pizza aws just what the Dr ordered-took care of the cravings for another 6 months! -till at maintenance level.

You ladies make me want to drop a few more - maybe after all the painting, papering, new cabinets & windows, flooring, toilets etc. Just too tired to concentrate on me right now! As long as I don't go up, for an old gal I am content for now! But summer is just around the corner- wonder how I would look in a bekini????n OH Horrers! Perish the thought!

So no weight loss, one of the girls on here sent me jeans, size 12, oh yeah!! I am wearing them, so exercise pays off, I guess the darn scale will continue to break me but the exercise is working!! I am so excited I could bust, I swear I cant ever remember wearing a 12, I think I was 12 the last time, LOL

It's so encouraging to get into those smaller sizes isn't it Amber. I think you'll body will give up those extra few pounds when it's good and ready. Poor thing has had to make such huge changes in the last year, you need to be patient with it.


Faithful, glad the pizza didn't do any harm. Nice that this plan does let us do that and still be legal.

TMV1, hang in there. Being so close to goal things are going to be slow, but at least you're doing what it takes to get there.

Becky, the soup idea sounds great. I love soup and am craving Mexican.

One of my cats died on Sunday, so I have been sad, but doing fairly well with my eating. Did eat a protein bar yesterday that had 17gm carbs and 20 gm protein. Weight was up a little, but know it's just water gain from the carbs. Hope to be down at least a little by Wed. morning. It has been snowy and icey here so haven't been walking as much and think that is slowing me down. May have to break down and get on the dreaded treadmill.

Stilldews- OMG I am sorry to hear about our kitty that is the worst when one of our beloved pets dies, sorry for you! You said the S word, SNOW, shhhhhh I dont want any!!!!

Becky- oh woman christmas baking, that is my downfall, I cant bake and not eat so I keep buying the boys cookies I dont care about, I figure it saves a ton of calories, LOL Good luck today!

My son has his Christmas Concert today at 4 I am so excited,I get to see him blow this darn French Horn that is costing me a fortune, LOL But way better than the trumpet, that thing killed me listening to him practice, LOL

167 today. That means I've only lost 0.4 pounds in the last 3 Weeks! Not good, but I am losing inches, so just going to keep doing what I'm doing. May shake things up a bit after the holidays by giving up dairy, but for now that's what keep me going. I have 6 of the 32 oz containers of Greek yogurt in the refrig if that tells you how much I like it. Read on the Dukan facebook page that Dr Dukan has approved 2 tsp of olive oil per day. Think I may use coconut oil instead and use it to scramble my eggs in.

Stay away from those holiday goodies and be strong. Just a few more weeks of temptations to face!

stilldews it is so frustrating to lose slowly but slow and steady wins the race. I don't plan to stay on Dukan on Christmas and maybe not even that whole week. We shall see. I would like to make it through all next week though. I don't eat a lot dairy but I do know some think it slows their loss. I think it just gets harder the smaller you are and 167 would be what I consider low:notwrthy:

Amber I only a few nibbles yesterday but half of it is here in my house:eek: Only thing that keeps calling my name so far is the party mix and wine. Just sounds so good to me... the tree lit, watching a sappy Christmas show, sipping wine and chowing down on the party mix:yummy: It is a plan in the making but just hoping to resist until closer to Christmas.

I hate winter and the 4 letter word but guess there is no stopping it.

OMG I love that party mix, TOny is like can you make some of that for me, I said Heck no!!!!!!!!!!! I would so be crunching that stuff down! I love the wheat and bran chex, LOL

All well some night just plan it and say tonight is the night, then be back on it, I am eating Christmas Eve, Christmas Day and the day after at Tony's Mom's, then I am off all week so I can live at the gym but for 3 days I am going to eat and drink whatever I want, and I am not going to think about carbs, calories, fat, tracking etc, just workout, eta and enjoy the family and the tradition that goes with it all!

Beckster- so jealous! I am dying to seen an 8 after the one in my number- I am still at 191- I gained 1.5 lbs and am so depressed. Anyone here have to Re-start? I feel like I am just floundering after losing 25 lbs- :cry: 33 to go..... I really want to do this- any pointers ????

Stilldews losing a kitty is losing a friend. I am NOT a cat or dog person but I had an outside cat for 18 years. I always said she was a terrific dog cause she would come greet me when I drove down the drive-she would be wagging her tail. It has been years since I had to put her down & everynow and again I look for her when I drive in. Gentle huggs go your way!
