I've done that for way too many years and one reason I am excited about Dukan is that it does have a definite plan not only to stablize, but also to maintain that lets you have those special times and still keep the weight off. I've yo-yo dieted since age 10 and can really tell that my skin does not have the same ability to spring back into shape that it did when I was younger. Afraid I will be left with some sags and bags this time around. I heard that taking 5000 mg of vitamin C a day can help with the elasticity of the skin. Anyone else heard of any other ideas?

Today's weight is 177.2, so down another 3.2 pounds this last week.
great job!

Amber, so happy to hear that your weight is coming off so fast again and you're back to the plan. As someone who has lost over 100 pounds and regained it more than 3 times in my life, I can tell you Dr Dukan is right about the fact that right after losing a lot of weight, your body is primed to regain and regain easily. 5 days of stabilization per pound lost sounds like a long time, but I think it probably takes at least that long for our bodies to get comfortable at the new weight. That stage is scarey for me since I know that once I reintroduce carbs, it's so easy to get carried away with them and it's also hard to be really disciplined when you're looking good and feeling so positive about yourself. In the past, I have never regained real fast, but even 2 pounds a month can add up over a few years. I'm going to be watching you closely to see that stabilization and maintenance really is possible.

Stilldews- it is scary and man like what else to get under 200 its like my bod just doesnt want to let go of it, I am running 24 miles a week this week and next to get ready for the race plus the gym, another bad weekend with my reunion and my Grams B-day so I take 2 steps forward and one back, I was 205 on Sat morning, 208 today form the weekends activities, so back to gym, back to chicken, LOL, back to Non fat yogurt and we will see what happens, there is no way I am gaining this weight back, its such a bugger!!!! So hard to get it off!

Becky- where are you?? Vegas was freaking awesome!!!!! I recommend the Tuscany if you go, off the Strip but I won everytime I played in the little casino there, I love that casino!

I'm still here, I just don't post much

I did a 6 day Attack, did 5 days of PV, and I'm on day 5 of PP right now switching to PV tomorrow. I did not lose as much in the Attack phase as the Dukan site suggested when I took the True Weight test, but I'm losing faster in the second phase than it said so it all evens out I guess.

I'm not in ketosis because of the dairy products and oat bran, but I'm losing great! I doubted that I would be able to lose without being in ketosis, but I'm moving along very steady. I don't want to say how much unless I jinx myself. I'm seeing the same increment on the scale which is very encouraging, and I'm almost in the next size down since starting.

I have to say, I was really, really resistant to the oat bran at first because I thought it was gimmicky. I'm not sure if it's actually helping my weight loss, but I do think it's helping me stay on plan because I look forward to eating it each day. I've been having 2TB cooked in light coconut milk (the kind in the carton, not the can) with some cinnamon. I've also been having yogurt each day, which I avoided before.

Jocelyn, sounds like you're doing wonderful. I was worried about losing too without being in ketosis, but the pounds are continuing to come off slowly but surely. 23 pounds in 9 weeks for me. Not the fastest I've ever lost, but faster than I was losing on Atkins last time around.

This week, I'm going to experiment with rice bran instead of oatbran. It is lower in carbs, higher in fiber and protein and lower in calories. I've also been eating a pkg of the Shiritaki noodles everyday and that is adding some more fiber.

Good to hear from you Becky, get back on track soon.

Hang in there Amber, You've done really well in getting back near that 200 mark. Know you can do it!

I just got some of those miracle noodles, I am anxious to try them, I see some shrimp pad thai in my future with them!

I am running like a nut, the parties on the weekends are killing me, but it cant be hurting all the exercise, LOL Even my disgusting stomach is getting smaller, I am wearing one size fits all pantyhose, I cant believe I had to get the XXXXXXXXXxx size, LOL That is my mini victory for the day!

All that exercise has to be turning you into a fat burning machbine Amber. Worry about the inches and not the pounds. With all that muscle, you will be getting smaller.

The secret with the miracle noodles is to rinse them about 3 minutes. I put them in a stainer and then run cold water over them and move them around with my hand while they are rinsing. Then put them in a dry skillet and pan fry dry 2-3 minutes until really dry. Then add the rest of your ingredients. I made a big skillet of hamburger, onions, cabbage and mushroom last week and add a cup or so of it to the noodles along with lots of crushed red peppers. Yummy. The Dukan store had a real good deal on the noodles last week with free shipping if you bought $75 worth of stuff, so I got 2 cases of 24 plus ordered some of the chocolate oat bran mix to try. I've also made some pudding out of them with egg, yogurt cinnamon and sweetener.

Good info about the noodles, so tha tis all I have to do rinse and heat in the skillet I am making a PB chicken dish sort of a satay sauce but it is low carb, so might be good with that! I like it spicy so lots of red pepper!

4 1/2 months & not an ounce gained! Not losing fast but not gaining for that long is a MAJOR ACCOMPLISHMENT. I am so happy with where I am!
