Years ago, I would make liver and Shadow (my cat that died about ten years ago) and I would eat it. My mother said I should call my brother to come over. for some reason when we were growing up he and I both loved liver and our parents couldn't stand it. Now how did we ever come to like it I don't remember. Mum hated to cook it but she would do it every once in a while for us.

Wish you were closer Amber, you could come share with me!! But we're on opposite sides of the state! But the same state! Yeah!!!

Thanks guys but I do not hold my breath with adding veggies but I DO have the will and the desire and eventually it will come! When I quit work in Jan. I was actually in the 240's so this feels very good right now.

Lenise your parents hated liver and the kids loved it. TOO funny!!

I am down about half a pound since yesterday. 9 1/2 for Attack and now onto Cruise!

Becky So happy for you! You are working this plan! And it is working for you!! I am so proud of you

Lenise - Only once did I ever try to eat liver and it was on the old WW plan where it was required once a week. I put one bite in my mouth and chewed and could not swallow it . I had to spit it out! My mom used to love chicken livers though.

Sinny - I have a lot to lose too. I think if we stick to this we can make it happen . WTG on the 3 pounds

Palmetto - It is good to have a goal to work towards. Looking forward to an engagement and wedding is good motivation. You should be able to lose a significant amount in a few months time . Picture yourself in your wedding dress and how you want to look whenever you are tempted.

Isn't it funny how many of us feel guilty about not feeding our husbands/boyfriends carby foods. I was just talking about this with my BFF the other day. My hubby loves carbs but he is doing LC and has a lot to lose. I feel bad for him that he can't eat what he wants. I fix him LC goodies but that does him no good either. He eats too many of them and then doesn't lose.

Amber - You are such an inspiration! I agree about looking at each decade rather than the whole picture! Who could dream of losing 100 pounds but little by little it happens! Just have to stay the course

Phaedra - Good going on the pound even with the rough week. Your efforts paid off

msgirl - I get scared to add things too. Then I get in a pattern of eating the same things over and over and if I eat something different I worry that I have messed up! I get very strict with myself. Crazy I know but it's how my mind works. Last night I ate 2 chicken breasts instead of my usual one and felt like I had cheated. Congrats on your loss so far!

WOW Amber That is great!! Good for you!! I just did soemthing like 15 minutes on the dreadmill can I still get points? Didn't want to! Mumbles and grumbles... I HATE 'e' I also went to the grocery since the grandsons are staying tomorrow night. I only needed a few things but I walked up and down almost every ailse

Just had some celery and cauli with lite poppyseed dressing for dipping.

Having some green iced tea with squirts of splenda, lemon and lime. I just love it this way!!

Amber do you get The Doctors? On ABC at 4 here. Tomorrow they have one of the winners from Biggest Loser (I think that was who it was) and talking about his abd. skin removal. They presented him all the skin they removed on a plaque It was only a preview and I didn't catch all of it but thought of you and that you may want to try to watch it.

Good evening everyone!

Wow! I didn't get to post until now and had two pages to read

I weighed this morning after yesterday's PP and I am only down .2 still not back to stats on the left. I am only gonna be weighing on days after PP. So, no scale day tomorrow. I can get to obsessed and like Amber said - weighing every day is almost self sabotage for some of us! Especially when the numbers don't change. But, she is living proof that hanging on and letting our bodies catch up is the best answer! Thanks for the reminder Amber!

BECKY ......ONEDERLAND:kic king:That's awesome!!!!

Amazinggrace - Liver Of course you made it sound good with the salsa and all.

Amber -- that much running/walking after surgery is impressive You must be totally devoted to 'e'.

I have been walking 45 minutes on the treadmill lately and I have to really push myself to do that. Been watching Netflix on my iphone as I walk It really helps the time go by and I don't seem to need as much water - I guess my mind kind of covers up the need for hydration while I am watching a show and walking. Too much work to be thirsty at the same time

Becky - could you try watching a tv show or something while on the treadmill? Then maybe it would help you go longer like it does me:high5

:
TXniteowl - you are smokin'!!!! Good luck on Cruise

Sinny - you seem to be super busy - I don't know how you keep up with watching grandkids and working too! What a super hero!

Well now that I am caught up I need to get off here. I am feeling the munchies and I need to go eat me a good boiled egg white. I bought some more ff Greek yogurt today and some ff mayo for tuna salad. Tomorrow is my ds' bday and I am making pancakes - his favorite. I am gonna make me a gallete and I bought some turkey bacon. It's gonna be good and it's low sodium. But, I will still down the water just in case.

Sleep tight all!

Morning ladies I just wanted to let yall know Monday I was so frsutrated and had a bad day at work. I went home and went to bed at 6:30 and yesterday I was 5lbs lighter. Still not new weight loss ,but like a 1lb away. So I guess the lack of sleep really was more of an issue than I knew.

Looks like you all have been doing awesome!

On my walk/run last night, I came up with a new goal: 30 pounds down by Christmas. I hate seeing pictures of me when I'm obviously unhappy with my weight, so I'm going to make this year different.

Why do we (I'm assuming I'm not alone in this) forget how great it feels to exercise? I have been walking and mixing in running every day for a week, and everything in life just feels better. Plus, y'all are so inspiring! I look forward to seeing how much you guys accomplish.

Becky- Jennifer won, that was cool, although I liked Adrian too, it was a good show, I thought Adrian's plates looked more yummy!!!!!

Yes exercise does make us feel good, I think that is why I am so hooked on it, LOL You can lose 30 by Christmas if you are serious, that is 4 1/2 months about 7 pounds a month, now that my weight loss has slowed I am still at 6-7 a month, you can do it!!!

palmetto 30 pounds by Christmas is for sure reasonable! I will join the challenge but will NEVER agree on the 'e' thing

Amber I almost said YAY Jennifer this morning but wondered if maybe Teresa hadn't seen it yet so didn't say anything Only thing I would have loved to try of Adrian's was the awesome looking short ribs<drools> I am not fond of anything Jen fixed but still wanted her to win!! Bet Christian is busy eating humble pie. I just could not stand him!!!

OK back to our regularly scheduled program

Morning ladies!

Weight about the same today. Had cole slaw with cod last night. I used just 1 Tbls of lowfat mayo in the dressing for my portion of the cole slaw. LOL I mixed it in 2 bowls and used reg. mayo for hubby's. Probably shouldn't have bothered to do it both ways because I thought mine was yummy! Of course I haven't had veggies in a week

Amber - I get behind on tv shows sometimes when the g'kids are here and DVR to watch later. I haven't watched the 2 hour finale of MC yet but don't worry it is fine! I don't mind spoilers at all. In fact I read up on Big Brother on the Playground thread and usually know what happens at least 2 shows ahead lol. People there watch live feeds and read spoiler sites and then report it. So talk all you want about tv shows.

Spyder - Wow that was a nice weigh in! Congrats on the loss

msgirl - Family birthdays and special occasions are so hard for me and where I usually trip up. Around here we celebrate with food . Happy birthday to your son today.

Palmetto - I hate seeing pics of myself! I am in on the challenge too!

Becky - I thought the same about the mystery box challenge

Good afternoon :

Grandkids just left and I have to sit and rest lol. I still can't get my sleep regulated and have a hard time sleeping,so I get exhausted when they are here. I must have taken the baby off the fireplace 20 times. It will be nice when she can get down on her own without falling.

My weight is the same today ,even after being good at the casino. I had 3 hamburg patties, soda and water. I think I might need to cut down on the soda , I have beeen drinking more then usual lately.

I am with becky on the challenge without the "e". I so hope to retire again in Oct. so I will not have an excuse then.

Spyder ,sleep is so important. My hrs are so crazy ,there are days I only get a few hrs sleep. The next 4 days I have 2 doubles and 2 8hr shifts, plus the kids on the 8 hr days. Needless to say NO SLEEP . I never really pay attention too much to my weight on those days.(unless I am down lol). I wait for a good nights sleep to really tell.Thats at least 5 hrs for me.

My GD and I watched MC today . I wanted to watch it before I came on line.I was thrilled when Christen was booted. I liked both Adrian and Jenn, but glad Jenn won because everyone was so sure Adrian was going to win.

It is good to see everone so excited and very encouraging. Congrats to those who can "e" . I hope to get back into it . I have not been to the gym in over a year and I still pay every mt.

Hi everyone, been offline for a bit- not weighing in until the morning, but I am hopeful now that that TOTM is over, maybe I will have some improvment! I had a houseguest from Australia for a week, and this guy hardly eats! So it was not too hard to stay on track... leaving for my folks house in lakeland FL tomorrow- now that will be the real challenge, they try at every turn to undermine me- please wish me luck!
I note y'all referring to *e* would that be evil exercise by any chance? I detest it too, but bettter get going on this plan is going to stall on me , right? I wanted to ask if anyone else has been having the atkins cheesecake? I ahve it daily, just eggs, cottage cheese, and sweetener, a bit of lemon juice- really helps me stay on board! I made it with 4 whole eggs and two egg whites to cut down on the fat..... it is awesome. If anyone needs the old school recipe, just shout.. I should have it tattooed on me by now. Hugs, and more when I get back- everyone is doing so great, and welcome new folks!

I've got a couple of small cans of pumpkin and I think I just might try making the soup next week... reason being I have a taste for some pumpkin. I'd sub some lean turkey for the sausage and FF milk for the 1/2&1/2.

I've had it ~ it's been a long day.

Will catch up with everyone later in the day tomorrow; have a meeting to attend tomorrow morning so I won't be at the computer till noon or so.
hey, can we have pumpkin in cruise phase?

What a coincidence. I was just looking at your Atkins cheesecake and wondering if it was easier than my MIO with Fage, which yes, I totally love. My favorite is to mix the FAGE with the Strawberry-Watermelon MIO. In fact I may go get some now!

Edited to add: Yep, eating it now!

Purr - I would love the Atkins cheesecake recipe!! Sounds good.

LivinLo - I have the strawberry watemelon Mio but no greek yogurt at the moment. Will have to try that combo.

Sinny - I've said it before but i don't know how you do it. This old body couldn't take what you do!

Mio tastes good in any kind of yogurt, but if you're fighting ice cream trucks and the aroma of fresh pizza, you better go for the Fage.
