Amber!!! Woo hoo!!!! WTG I am so happy for you

Well gals I've been plugging along doing well with eating and lost another pound. This is my last day of PP. Down a total of 9 pounds so far.

Yesterday I had a piece of sirloin, eggs, some yogurt and a lowfat latte. Not much appetite anymore so not a lot of food. Had company all day and didn't have the eggs (dinner) until late last night. I am slacking in the "e" dept.

Spyder: Hang in there. A PP day should undo whatever damage was done over the weekend.

Waiting for the grandkids to get here. One more week til school starts.

I'm getting to the point of wondering if I should jsut move to consolidation to save what I have done. With being so tired I am just really having a hard time and my will power is out the window. Any suggestions? As of today I'm 18 lbs from my TW.

Hi, y'all! I'm new to the Dukan thing (but it's my 3rd - or 100th- time going LC.)
I know being LC is the best way for me to eat, it eliminates migraines and gives me tons more energy and just makes me feel bettery. But after FINALLY finding a boyfriend a year ago, I started slipping up, eating the carbs/potatoes/desserts I cook for him.
Well, no more. I started Dukan last Thurs., but was out of town this weekend and I had a salad. Still, though, down 2.6 from last Thursday morning, so it obviously works.
Looking forward to sharing this journey with y'all!

Spyder- you are getting close the weight loss is going to slow down, it is going to be very frustrating, if it helps you to add the veg and go to consolidation do it, maybe eating a little more you will lose slower but be more content, and when you get happier with the eating you are not as likely to cheat!

Palmetto- you are nesting, you got a man,LOL You are feeding his belly!! That is tough!!! You can do it, almost 3 pounds in a week is super!!!!

Thanks for the encouragment. I'm doing the PP day today and then I think I may just have to see about doing PP or a PV tomorrow. lack of rest if playing a big part I know ,but it just is not in the cards for me for a couple of weeks.

way to go Becky, teresa and amber You guys are rocking it.

livinLocarb I had the same problem. Work all weekend. After 4 days on hardly no sleep and forgetting to bring my chicken to work. I broke down. They had sauage patties which isn't the worst , but somehow I felt like I cheated, so I had junk food after that.

Up 2 lbs this morning ,but back on track. Dh went to the grocery store and came home with babyback ribs. I told him he would have to grill some chicken for me. He does LC so he figured I could have the ribs.

I only made it 5 days on attack phase. I guess I will continue and take a pp day when I need to. Maybe tomorrow if we go to the casino.

I just had the worst greek yogurt. It was Price Chopper brand. I had to throw it out.. DH got 6 so I will try it again when I get up the nerve. Today so far I have had tuna w/ a touch of L/fat mayo and a yogurt. Chicken is on the grill.

Cindy it very hard at first to put Atkin's out of your mind but it's what you have to do to make this plan work for you I wonder what was wrong with the yogurt? Is it fat free and plain? Did you add some spenda and DaVinci's or something? So you are going to do PP/PV starting now? You do know that every other day is just a protein day, right? Your post confused me. You can't just "take a pp when you need to" you have to take every other day and not with a lump of sugar either Tell Bob I said to read the book so he can be supportive

spyder it is your choice as to what to do but I do know lack of enough sleep hinders weight loss Wish you could get some good rest.

Palmetto

Phaedra Miss Onederland does have a certain ring to it I'll gladly accept the title

Had my usual hb egg and steak instead of my usual tuna

Sinny- ff greek yogurt is nasty any brand LOL You gotta doctor it up, I use the crystal light packets, for the water bottles, mango green tea is my fav, dont know why but it tastes like juicy mango when I eat it!!!

So far so good girls, I ate sort of Dukanm except for the oatmeal and brown rice, just made ahi tuna with wilted spinach OMG so good, I like tuna steak and raw tuna, but in a can? Nope!!!!

Trainer killed my arms now, I did bench presses first time ever, trying to steady that bar is hard! Lots of different push ups tonight!

Keep plugging guys!!!

Becky I am waiting for onderland for you!!! I want it to be before you leave!!!!

I was 305 on 9/27/10 when I started, so 99 pounds so far this year!!!!! One more freaking pound for 100 in less than a year if I can get it off yet in August!!!! In 2005 I went to get my tubes tied at the preop they said I am sorry you have to go to the loading dock our scale doesnt go past 350 I ran out and never did have surgery!!! That is when I first did Atkins, I got down to 280 in 5 months I lost over 70 pounds and then gained and lost gained and lost ridiculous!!!!! Dont know how much I really weighed over 350 so that is why I use that as my heaviest!

Sinny - I made baby back ribs for Roger tonight too. And pan fried chicken breast for myself that I had marinated in lite Italian dressing all day. I'm not a huge chicken fan but this was pretty good. Thanks to Becky for giving me the idea to do it that way . I am not a creative cook at all.

I have to sweeten my greek yogurt too. I use a few drops of Sweetzfree. Otherwise it is nasty lol.

Amber - I am in awe . You have done an amazing job!!!

to Palmetto. Jump right in and join us. I am new to this too. And it's my 100th time for LC too

So last Monday I was 212.4, I managed to get 6 pounds off with 3 pounds of virgin weight loss!!!!! I bow to Dukie, lower fat is the way to go, I am going to stick to my BFFM plan but making sure it stays very low fat, I think all the fish this week will help!!!

So girls I was feeling so bummed, I think it was the group effort that pulled those pounds off me!!!!! Love you all !!!!!

Do what you're comfortable with. Adding some other foods back in right now might help you to not lose control. Don't want to do that!! Go to consolidation and then go back to attack or cruise later when you feel up to it.

Welcome!!! I ate off plan today and am going to do attack again for a few days. Anyone else going to continue on or is everyone going to cruise??

Down to 208.6 today! That's only 1.4 pounds down from last Monday, but that's five pounds gone since I really started Attack on Thursday - not Monday like I planned.

Hi all!

Just checking in really quick before bed.

So last week I lost the 7.2 pounds I mentioned then had my first PV day on Friday. I was up .8 to 150.2 and got a little frustrated but haven't weighed since Saturday so as to only weigh on days after PP not PV.

Tomorrow will be my weigh in - wish me luck!

Congrats to BEJEWLME That is so wonderful!

TXniteowl - You are losing like crazy too!!!

becksterinindy - you are so inspirational with your posts - keep up the positive talk!

Palmetto0208 - I could've written your post! I know how it feels to do LC over and over and over!!! When will I ever learn??????

amazinggrace911 - I started cruise on Friday. yesterday was my second day on it. Today was PP - I sure hope it doesn't slow down the loss by incorporating veggies. I get scared adding stuff....no matter which diet I use. I did that with Atkins, Stillmans, BFFM, you name it!!

Well, I did read that Dukan says if you start to stagnate in weight loss to up the walking to 45 minutes and cut back to only 1 liter of water. I tried that today - we will see tomorrow when I weigh. I am so for a good scale day.

Well I tried the flavored yogurt and it was nasty too. The plain one I put van sf syrup insick:

I like the plain chaboni (wrong spelling) I used the sf syrup in that. I am throwning the rest of the price chopper brand out and get more of the other.

A lot of you are around the same weight.I need to lose 60 lbs to get even close. By then you will all be down to your true weight. It is exciting watching you get there.

Becky it seems so good to see you doing so well. It has been awhile since we have lost anything together. Thanks for steering me here.
Becky I meant I want to try to stay on attck for a while and take a PV day when I go out. It is hard to eat out with just PP. I wanted to get to 250 for a wedding in sept. But I started too late , The wedding is the 6th of sept. I will take what I can get off, and be happy.

msgirl please don't be discouraged if the scale isn't nice for awhile. I remember VERY well after Attack I didn't lose anything for 8 or 9 days infact I gained a pound during that time. After that it finally "clicked" with my body and weight came off again. Had I not been determined to see it through I wouldn't be where I am today. You don't have much to lose. Just hang on it will come.

Cindy Do the best you can. My life isn't complicated like yours so it is much easier for me. The wedding is close but you can do a LOT of damage (good damage) in 3 weeks!! I had 12 off by then. Just stay focused. If you forget your food you don't get to eat j/k

Yes girls whether Dukan, atkins, whatever sometimes it takes our bodies awhile to catch up but then the whoosh comes, I remember Becky was so frustrated after her first attack, and look at her go!!! Go Becky, Go Becky!!!!

The same thing with me, it has been over 3 weeks since I had virgin weight loss, sometimes it just hits. Am I good at dealing with this, NO!!! But I have lived it a lot in this last year, you need to stick to the plan, don't try crazy stuff it never works, trust me, I know this, I did the fat fast lost 8 pounds in 5 days gained it all back the following week, a true plateau is 4 weeks or more!!!! Stop weighing daily, pick one or two days a week and weigh, sometimes not seeing it helps you stay on plan, cause you don't want to gain, then the daily weight fluctuations are not so depressing. It all comes down to sticking to it, we all know when we cheat and those little cheats catch up and are just enough to ruin us! It sucks but it is what it is!!!!!

Thanks for the warm welcome, y'all.
I love the feeling of energy I get after a few days of low carb/Dukaning. Went for a walk/run combo yesterday morning, then boyfriend and I went for a 4ish mile walk last night. I really wanted to go yesterday at lunch, too, but it was 99 degrees, so I figured I'd just skip it.
We had lean burgers for dinner last night. Boy had two on buns, I just had one, no meat, and a little dab of ketchup. Then, when he went back for his nighttime-TV-watching ice cream (followed by potato chips, of course) I had a container of SF jello. And I didn't feel cheated or anything. If I can keep not having what he's having, then I'll do just fine.
It's not like he demands potatoes or rice or bread or cookies or cake, I just feel like I want to make them for him! But he's super awesome and supportive, and he's wanting to shake off a few lbs. too (which, of course, he'll be able to do by eating just half the usual amount of evening ice cream. Darn you, men!) So, we'll keep exercising together and, maybe by the time an engagement ring comes (I have a feeling it'll be within a few months!!!) I'll be able to feel good about the odds of it fitting on my fat fingers!

Phaedra way to hang in there.

Amber I admire you,for doing all that "e". I have the dukan tape but haven't looked at it yet. My stepson just hooked my dvd player up. It has only been 11 mts since I moved in and waiting for it to get hooked up. DH and I are challenged in that department.

My weight was down 3 lbs since yesterday. It was good to see it after gaining 2 . 268.5 . 250"s here I come. It is so depressing when I think about gaining 25 lbs in the last 2 years, and I have to get those off before I feel as tho I accomplished anything.

Palmetto: It is good to have support. My DH has been eating LC since we went to the LC pig roast ,in tennessee a few years ago. He is very happy with it. He never eats starches, and only eats bread and sweets on occassion. He will have rolls if we are out . He does have a weakness for cream cheese and olives on the fat pretzels. He tries to have them when i am working. The thing is I feel bad when I don't give him carbs at meals, but he could care less if he has them.
I am sure you would make a beautiful bride even if you didn't lose weight, but I know how you feel in wanting to get the weight down.

OK you all know I only count my weight in 0.5 or whole numbers but today I can't find in it in me........199.6 just feeling toooooooo good

I am back to PV today so I am not sure it will stick but savoring it today and KNOW I can get there if I just stay on plan!!

Amber I can't weigh once or twice a week. Don't have it in me!! You are SO right about the days on end when the scale won't budge but we have to wait it out. Our bodies need time to catch up sometimes.

Phaedra I am so happy for your loss this week. It was touch and go at times but you can reflect back and learn from some blips along the way.

Palmetto WTG on the 'e'. That bling will look great on your finger

I am so glad I happened on this thread this summer and happier yet I took the plunge!

I'm back up today to 209.8. Expected, so I'm not too disappointed. Just going to dig in my heels and do better today. Today I'm doing a PV day. I'm making grilled cheese, tomato soup and stir fry veggies -- fresh from the garden -- for dinner tonight. The fresh veggies sound SO good. So I'm going to cook liver for me -- since I'm the only one who will eat it. I'll probably have to wait until everyone has eaten till I cook it or else I'll get complaints about it smelling. lol

Going to my Grandma's this afternoon to see my uncle and his family one more time before they fly back to Dallas tonight. It'll probably be the last time I see my cousins. They're older now and don't really like coming up this way. Actually this is the first time I have seen them in about ten years. My cousins are my kids ages. lol

Brunch was 3 eggs scrambled with some chicken, salsa and a little bit of parmesan cheese. More of a lc day today.
