You're definitely welcome to join the group here!! We've got a great group of people here. I enjoy coming even though I'm not really able to follow dukan anymore. Financial difficulties -- not much money for food. But I'm still going to do the best I can. I love having the yogurt mix for breakfast. Then I think I'm just going to do one meal in the evening. It's the snacking I'm going to have to be careful with!!

I did start reading the book again last night. So much good information. Came across some more that I don't remember reading before. Maybe that's cause I still haven't read the whole thing! lol

Have a nice evening!

We're down to four cats now -- siblings. And believe me, they're just like little kids vying for attention. We did have nine, but we lost two of them when we were living in Maryland, and three have died in the past two years. We just lost our oldest cat recently. We had him 11 years. His picture is my avatar. I still catch myself looking for him when I go outside. Miss him lots!! Can you tell I love my cats!!!

DD and I are going to work for a friend tomorrow so I won't be on much. We went to the store and got pepperoni and cheese to take for lunch. And I'll have my yogurt for breakfast. So that just leaves dinner to figure out. I'll probably put a turkey ham in the crockpot. Salad is already made, so I'll just stir fry some veggies. So tomorrow is planned!!!

Nighty night! Sleep tight!!

Well back down to 208. I think I will probably bounce for awhile until I lose again. Today makes 19 pounds in 5 weeks and I still find that surreal!

phaedra

Lenise you will also be in my thoughts and prayers Sometimes life gets so hard but hey, it beats the alternative, right?

My grandson's spent the night and we are going on a picnic at the beach and then build a campfire (early) and roast dogs and make S'mores. I have packed 2 low fat Nathan dogs and taking HB eggs and veggies. Glad this is a veggie day

Mornin'
WT today=182.That feels just right.
But OMG if I could only put some butter and sf syrup on that D%$^# pancake life would be better.

I know how the loss of cat friends hurts. I lost my 21 y/o silver boy 2 years ago and still mourn and wish i could hold him one more time.My mama says more cats than people will meet me in heaven as i've had so many, that suits me just fine.

Have some fun today.
Later

So sorry to hear everyone's losses of Pets!!! I have always said we don't do animals, we have kids. Now that they are almost on their own (youngest graduated college in May & has 1 more year to finish his masters), we are thinking about getting a dog, although will probably wait as we both travel for work/volunteer work.

Phaedra, try mixing ff cream cheese w/cinnamon & splenda to top the pancake! Cottage cheese works also.

Been playing up & down w/.5 - 1 lb since a week ago today. Did loose 38.5 from 3/28 - 6/26 on HCG, so maybe my body is confused!?!
Going to walk an hour this morning & ramp up the water from 72 oz to 96 oz. Hope this all helps to get another kick start!!!

Praying for you and thinking about you Lenise!

I want to throw the scale out the window. I have basically played with the same couple of pounds since the 7th....
I've been on this diet since May 31st and i'm down 12 lbs. Which is great, but I need to see more on the scale. TOM should start today or tomorrow so I know that is some ,but the scale has to move or I need to revamp something I'm doing.

Good luck, spydermonkey. I had good luck with an extra protein day a couple of weeks ago. I not only caught up after some social events, but saw some new lows as well.

you are very welcome - I also like to mix ff cream cheese with Walden Farms Orange Marmelade. Dukan says not to use their products because of chem in it, however, a little now & then doesn't hurt. I also like their BBQ sauce.

we have a frozen yogurt shop that offers what it calls a "Skinny Minny" - in 4 oz it has 45 calories, 40 g sodium, 11 carbs & 5 g sugar. I'm guessing that is also a no? Even if you only eat 1/2?

Thanks I'm still on the fence I may wait until after my TOM which wills tart today or tomorrow and just lower my sodium and see if that helps and then do it after the TOM. I guess I'll decide tomorrow....

Hi Cloaz. I would encourage you to remain gently empowered in your diet. On a day when you have been very Dukan-compliant, experiment with a serving of the questionable food. If the scale is down the next morning, you will have valuable feedback on how the food affects you.

Yes I agree as with this diet and all diets, some things are (YMMV)-your mileage may vary. As LLC said be strict and eat one thing and see what happens, you will be surprised that keeping your fat low you can eat higher carb, it is one or the other, you eat Low carb/high fat, or you eat low fat/higher carb, they sort of go together, fat and carbs=disaster!

Yeah, time zones are fun. I get thrown off when, on the Dukaners forum, the Brits are talking about what they ate for dinner and I haven't even considered lunch yet.

Congrats on the 1.5 loss!!
