Thanks for the welcome.

Have a busy week with some restaurant eating, but will do protein when home and see if that helps. We had a steak and small salad last night out with friends. I read more of the book today and really would just like to say I am not available to go out or be with other people for a month or so, but know that will not work!

crab sticks?

Dear Surfmom- the Aldi brand crab sticks: you mention they are allowed- what is the nutritional info that makes them ok? I know others have so much sugar? I have an ALdi's near me, so that would be great- the ones i did see had 15 gms of carbs... that can't be right can it...?? Thanks, Laure

I am in love with Purrcy! He's adorable! I do voluntary work as a Blue Cross cat socialiser.

On the scales this morning. This is my last day (5) in Attack Phase. I have lost 5 lbs. This is amazing. Dr Dukan of the big brown eyes, I love you.

I should think that a couple of these pounds are due to me abandoning my salt habit. Tomorrow, I shall have some asparagus. It's the asparagus season here. Delicious! And somewhere amongst the Dukan recipes is a "mayonnaise". If it's a French recipe, it will be lovely!

Well girls I am doing it I was up to 225.5, 4 pounds of carb overload bloat, good grief!!

So far I am at 300 calories, .5 grams of fat, and almost 40 carbs, but i am having faith in the plan, I even bought the darn Evian, and have it half frozen I thought the thing about eating and drinking cold food was interesting, LOL Still didnt try the cold shower, LOL

The galette was pretty good I must say, I added a few drops of my liquid splenda it was tasty, better than some LC pancakes I made. I thought i would feel fuller, I can tell the absence of my half and half, I think that keeps me full so using the skim milk in my beloved coffee is the least enjoyable thing, but I will do this!!!

I am going to try the muffins tonight, that will be easier to grab and go in the morning then making the galettes, and with going to NYC this weekend I can pack that!!!

I'm done with my first week on Cruise and I lost 4.4 pounds!! That's a total of 10.4 pounds in 13 days. Feels pretty good right now. I'll be so thrilled when I drop into the 210's. It's been a year since I've been there.

Not much planned today. Have to clean the front room and go with my mom to Sears to fight with them about a warranty on something she bought last year.

I know Dr. Dukan says they're to be lean hot dogs, but I just can't stand paying $3 or more for a pack of hot dogs. I usually buy the cheapest chicken or turkey ones I can find. Which is probably why I should only eat them occasionally. But they taste so good off the grill!!! Maybe that's why I'm only down .2 pounds from yesterday!

I don't know if we have anyone here or not who has done this long term. At least they're not checking in here much now. I know the original thread was started last year, though.

You can check out other dukan diet boards. The dukaners message board has people who are on consolidation, but I've never checked it out any further.

Have a great day!!

Lenise the diet has worked very well for you I would be thrilled!!!! Honestly I have hovered around 220 for like weeks, I just want to get into the teens, I have been looking at other sites as well, there are a few with people doing the diet, and recipes and stuff, I tend to like you girls, and the fact that most here seem to be new to this as well. I think everyone posting here has had amazing success, I was so worried about upping the carbs but I am going to let it be as is, and see what happens,

Congrats on all the losses!

I have a question: I was reading about the cruise and he says to do 2/0 if you are thicker in the hips and thighs. Is anyone doing this? How has it worked. Would it matter if I just stuck to the 1/1? TIA

I think whatever works best for you is what you should do. If I re-call he says by the end the weight losses all evened out. Not one group lost more than the other. Whats liveable for you??

I was a bit concerned eating the hot dog last night I thought I might have some water retention but I was down .2. May not seem like a lot but it keeps me happy.

I hope everyone is having a nice day. I'm at work today boooooo, Monday double boooo.

My bad, for breakfast I had two turkey sausage patties, and a fried egg with a slice of fat free cheese on top. Very good but I didn't realize that you can't have the cheese. Oh, well, on to lunch which will be lean hamburger patties, and dinner will be skinless chicken, with yogurt/bran for dessert.

This is very easy and I am suspicious, but will persevere to the bitter end of the week to view results. If any, I will keep going!

I am sort of cranky and still hungry I cannot shove one more thing in my mouth, these carb counts are making me crazy but going to keep going, I am hanging to this thread for dear life, LOL I keep looking at Linda's stats and thinking oh my she is so small and look what it did for her, LOL

My cholesterol is good do you think I can have more than 2 eggs a day? The eggs are really filling to me and lower in carbs than say more yogurt or milk?

I have more than two eggs some days, lol. The thing with most diet plans is you have to do what makes it work for you. I am doing a combo of Dukan, Stillman's, and IF, LOL. It might seem crazy but it's what is working and keeping me sane right now. Also, it is my understanding if you keep the fat low, you don't have to stress as much about the carbs and as long as you are under 50 a day, you are in ketosis, maybe not deep ketosis...but still in ketosis.

Am I missing something here with quantities. When were talking about eggs are we talking about egg whites or the whole egg. I'm eating 3 egg whites for breakfast a day, am I over doing? I thought I hit a wall because I was eating to much yogurt....maybe the eggs are also a problem.

Hi Mom to Cj! That is great news- I was of the old school mind that we had to be under 20 gm carbs to be in ketosis, like with Atkins.... so that is awesome to find out@!
Thank you!

Hi Linda, I am sure they mean whole egg- since the egg whites are fat free and just the purest protein you can find.. the yolk is the troublemaker! But oh so good..!

Linda- he says to limit to 2 whole eggs, but you can have as many whites as you want, this first day I am dying looking at the carbs I ate 2 yogurts and 3 glasses of skim milk I was starving which I never am on Atkins!

I just made a variation of your muffins, since I am on Attack and need 1.5 T of oat bran I did as you said then added just a splash of skim like to make it a little more liquid, and 9 T of oatbran for the 6 muffins, I am thinking 1 a day should be about right!

Are you guys on Facebook? There is a discussion group there, but it mainly references the UK website that coaching thing sounds cool but very expensive!!!!

I was also wondering if he breaks down the % of like fats, protein, carbs, I didnt see that anywhere in the book, I am using ****** to track everything just because I am used to it and want to see how the day stacked up versus what I was eating.
