Can't believe it!!! I was actually down .8 pounds this morning!!! That's better than the past two days!!!
And after being off plan yesterday?? I just wonder if that has to do with how hot it was here for the past 3 or 4 days? It really cooled off last night and it's not quite 70 yet today. That might be. But I'll take it!!! Pep talk to self: Just remember Lenise -- STAY ON PLAN TODAY!! Don't use a good drop this morning as an excuse to eat whatever today!! I think I'm going to clean the house today and maybe do some cooking since it's cooler out. Not sure if I have any room in the fridge though. lol. But I need to do some stapes -- ketchup, mayo, seasonings and the such so I am prepared. Have a great day!!

After eating chicken for dinner I wanted something sweet so I made warm nonfat milk and used mocha flavored Splenda as sweetener. It was like melted ice cream |

Hi all, well , I have a setback- looking for insight? I was down 10 lbs proper on Monday, now back up 4! I am eating on track, except for one deviation- almond butter when I am so so hungry I would grab a spoonful... that is the only thing not on plan... I wonder, what am I doing wrong? Also, having a terrible time with the ladies room- using Konsyl, but not really helping.. any ideas?

Purrcy'smom...almond butter is very high in fat and calories. It is very easy to underestimate how much is on your spoon full. I know he is specific about nuts and nut butters not being allowed till 3rd phase. But do not get discouraged it may only be that. Post the rest of what you are eating and we will try and help you.

Evening all...doing great on this plan. I really do like it. I have done meat and eggs before and never stayed this long and got really really bored with it and never really fully felt satisfied and I was eating fats. Its weird. I think its the dairy. I love love yogurt and my smoothies and I think that I can have my smoothie for breakfast and have yogurt for a snack is making a difference with this. I'm not feeling deprived and I'm not feeling hungry either. Its really interesting. I was down another pound today so I should be back under 140 by the morning. Woohoo! I was just gonna walk this morning but once I got outside andit was so nice and I just had to jog. I felt much better today. Not tired, feeling really energetic and my appetite was really under control. I think I'm in ketosis and it feels wonderful.
I'm gonna start cruising this weekend but I need to figure out a way I can have veggies on the weekends. I'm thinking maybe sat and sun pv, mon tue pp, wed pv, thur fri pp and then start over. I love just eating protein and my smoothie at work, it makes it so easy to make my breakfast and lunch and I want to have that extra cushion on the weekends to be ableto eat out and stuff. Ill see how it goes. I'm glad everyone is doing well. I'm loving it. I do need to figure out some recipes for pp dinners though. |

I agree. I think it's the dairy that makes a difference. I've tried the meat/egg combo before and never lasted long. Didn't have a problem doing the attack phase for six days. Every morning for breakfast I have my yogurt mixture and I love it!!

I'm not doing much dairy except for my nonfat milk, because there's a severe lack of fat free dairy in the sticks I call home. But I like the milk, been missing it while I was on Atkins eventhough I don't really like milk before. LOL
Last night I made chicken breasts with ginger, garlic and lime. It was interesting but good. Today I'm gonna make fish with vinegar and garlic sauce ![]() |

Lenise, no I haven't since I'm not tired of the hot cereal yet. And it's so easy I just put 1.5 T oat bran, 1 T nonfat milk, .5 T Splenda, dash of cinnamon and 1/4 cup water in a small mug and nuke it for 1 minute. let it sit until thickened, nuke again for 30 secs. I have breakfast in less than five minutes with minimal clean up. When I get tired of this, I will try the muffins

I know what you mean. I'll stick with my yogurt mixture in the morning until I get tired of it. Right now it is the perfect thing for me!

Good morning!! I'm actually up .2 pounds this morning. Not too much, but I won't stress about it either. TOM is due within the next few days too. Just stick with my eating plan and I'll be fine.
It's a gorgeous morning out! No quite 60 degrees. Now this is a nice spring day!! Sitting out on the porch eating my yogurt and relaxing. Have a good one!! |

Anybody else have a FULL refrigerator (for which I am grateful) on this diet?! With all the meat, fresh vegetables, eggs, cartons of cottage cheese, yogurt, sugar free jello, etc, I feel like I am constantly re-arranging and trying to create space for things. I mean, I did Atkins for 11 years, and I just don't remember ever having so much stuff in the frig. Anyone else?

Yup, me too! We have stuff tightly packed and stacked, even on the door! You move one thing, and other stuff falls out . . .
At least it means we have lots of choices, right? ![]() Janet |

A friend just gave me a whole bunch of stuff from her freezer the other day. A while back she won a half a cow and a freezer to put it all in. But she doesn't really eat beef. Great for me!!!! I'm very thankful. I feel like I'm forever going to the store to buy stuff. Our fridge doesn't hold much so it seems that no matter what is in it, it is full!! lol
Getting ready to go to my Grandma's for dinner and a movie. We go every Friday night. Have my dinner ready to go!! Turkey and stir fry veggies! Yummmm!! |

Yup the muffin recipe everyone's mentioned
I use 1.5 T because I'm on Attack. And no it's not enough to fill me up. I should really have eggs with it on the side. I don't think I'm eating enough ![]() |

Oat bran -- 1.5 T. during Attack and 2 T. during Cruise. I think it increases in the next phase, but since that's a long ways away for me, I haven't paid much attention to those rules. lol
So upset tonight, but I'm not going to turn to food. Our Sassy cat was hit and killed tonight. He was 11 years ago and still playful as a kitten. My black ball of fur. I'm going to miss him so much! |

Lenise I'm ask sorry about your kitty. That's horrible. I don't know what I'll do if and when my babygirl leaves me.
I'm not doing too good this morning. I'm getting a cold and my throat hurts, I'm sneezing, I couldn't sleep because I was so sniffly and then to top it off I was up 2lbs this morning. I stayed on plan last night. I had turkey breast from the local grocery store deli. I did eat the couple of pieces of romaine that comes under it and then I had a couple of spoonfuls of yogurt mixed with my sf jello. I don't know what out could be. the only thing I can think it is is that I have been doing more strength training this week. I don't know. Maybe I'm holding onto water because of that and then the cold coming on. I'm silk gonna go to cruise today though just because I want a salad later. For breakfast yesterday I made a chocolate pancake and it was wonderful. I put a small amount of nonfat cream cheese on top of it. Yummy! |

Hi girls, I was excited to see this thread, I have lost 130 pounds on Atkins and I am stuck, so stuck!!! I am exercising 6 days a week, cardio and weights, and doing the couch to 5K, 3 days a week, I stick to about 25 net carbs and less than 1400 calories, I have got to try something, I found this diet, and was surprised my ideal weight is 198, exactly what my doctor told me!! I was thinking I needed to get to 170 or so, so I feel encouraged, I have not weighed less than 200 since I was probably 13, and I am 42!! I so want to be in the 100's, I am getting married in October and really want to weigh less than my fiancee! LOL
So I am going shopping today to stock up, I am so excited about skim milk, and yogurt, yum, I am worried about what it might do but seeing you guys having success gives me hope!!!! At this point I want the darn scale to move, I have been bouncing the same 4 pounds around for weeks, and I am exercising like a darn fool!!!!! Really glad to have some support and a place to have questions answered!!!! Amber
