I've been on a chocolate kick lately...chocolate OMMs, chocolate coconut bark, chocolate chia pudding, melted unsweetend chocolate bars mixed with DaVinci's. I'm eating hundreds and hundreds of calories a day just to get my chocolate fix.

Then I found the recipe for 3-MINUTE FLOURLESS CHOCOLATE CAKE and now I'm excited because it's eggfest friendly! And I also just realized that I can add cocoa powder to my egg drink. Here's hoping that the added cocoa won't stall me.

Since the beginning of the month, I've kicked my carb cravings to the curb, and have been slowly losing weight the whole time. It's time to kick it into high gear. C'mon eggies!

Checking in. . .

I haven't been on much this week, but I have been absolutely on-plan all week long. Yay! I will be heading off later today for a weekend hockey tournament with my DS, so I will not be able to eat out of my own fridge all weekend. The hotel we're staying at has a coffee maker, mini-fridge and microwave in your room. They also have a free hot breakfast every morning. I'm trying to prepare as best I can (have the hwc and DaVinci's for my coffee already packed!), and am determinted to do well this weekend. I will see a lower number on my scale come Monday morning than I saw today (and today's number makes me happy, as it put me into a new decade!). Hotel stay, you shall not derail me!

And on the hockey side of things: Go Knights!!

Decided to go with WW Points Plus, ladies. You are more than welcome to continue! At this time, I really need to portion control.

Take care!

Hi all! Thanks to those who provided links from the old thread.

I'm trying to experiment and be a little stricter with my eating in 2011 (since general loosey-goosey LC since November hasn't really provided any results for me) and as part of that I'm going to try to egg/protein fast three days per week. Egg fasts have produced some incredible results for me the couple of times that I've tried them so far, and I love eggs in all forms, so hopefully this WOE will be something that works and sticks for me!

I'm just coming off of a three-day weekend full of rich foods, wine, and carbs, so today is Day 1 of this week's egg fast for me. Going to try to keep it up through Thursday, possibly Friday. I haven't weighed myself yet to assess the damage from this weekend, but will do so before the end of the day today. Breakfast was coffee w/hwc, and two eggs fried in olive oil, with a sprinkling of colby jack cheese across the top.

Thought I'd come by and send you all happy thoughts.

I wish you all lovely victories and good health.

My standard food plan is quite similar to what many of the meat-and-eggers eat. Meat, egg yolks, some fatty fish and liver, bit of low starch vegs and herbs, lots of beef fat and pastured butter. Bit of coconut oil sometimes. Tea w/ fresh lemon juice and dabs of pastured butter.

I'm gonna try this!! I was looking at the ww plan and my DH reminded me that it wouldn't work for me. It would trigger my sugar addiction, so I am better off sticking to LC!! Is anyone else still following the egg fast?
I am also in search of a group on the challenge board. Any suggestions?

Oldie but goodie is right! This is what saved me three years ago when I got stuck on a plataeu during my original weightloss.

Since then I've slowly gained some weight back and am currently up 10 lbs. It's not a lot, but I've severely struggled with these few pounds and cannot get things back under control for the life of me. And my eatring habits have been all over the place.

This is the ONLY thing I know to do; the ONLY thing that ever truly worked for me. I'm going to start with three days of meat/eggs as kind of a "cleansing" period. If I can last three days, I think I'll start feeling re-balanced and be able to get a grip on things.

I hope so. I've been out of control.

Hey neighbor!

Well, today is my third day and I've done well. My weight is starting to drop and I'm feeling better already (thank goodness).

The meat and egg fast is the most amazing thing. I always feel more balanced and focused when I do it; like it's a cleansing experience. NOTHING else makes me feel this way. I must be the only person alive who can gain weight on the cabbage soup diet.

The only splurge I have is a bit of half & half in my coffee. Well, I got into the throat lozenges yesterday and ate them up like candy; that was a bit of a setback.

Anyway, when I go to bed tonight, I will have completed 3 days.

Am enjoying doing the M/E days, alternating with days with a bit of cheese or a tad more plant matter. It's nice to do two M/E days in a row sometimes, too.

Best wishes to all for a cheery day.

Happy Friday.

I am enjoying these cleaner, leaner eating days. Have had a nice week of alternating the regular meals in my food plan with M/E meals. I find this a help in being very honest about what I eat, how much, when, etc.

Best wishes to all.

STBS, if you'd like to start one, I'll post in it.

The eggfasters, and meat-and-eggers seem to be few these days, or they don't post much in these threads.

Either way, stay here or start a new thread, is fine with me.

I am new here and I just tried an egg fast last week after reading an old post on the "Hold the Toast!" blog which I stumbled across. I mistakingly hard boiled a dozen eggs the night before thinking I would be fine eating them all the next day. Blech. I made it until 3 PMish and then I had a regular LC dinner b/c I couldn't take one more egg. I guess next time I should fry some eggs or do some egg salad. Live and learn! I was down a half pound the next day though, ha ha.

Hi, Lisa. I like eggs a lot, but enjoy them in one meal per day. I like the meat-and-egg days, with a tiny bit of green, perhaps a bit of cheese now and then. I like fresh lemon juice in water, and yoghurt made from cream. I don't mind leaving out the cream, yoghurt and cheese for a few days, when I need to lose a couple of pounds.

I think you were courageous to eat eggs for several meals in a row.

Hope your day is going very nicely.
