Good Morning Ladies! Love the lemon avatars!

I was on plan yesterday until dinner. Had a planned cheat. Had a little of everything. Later my DD and I did duets on Just Dance 2. Boy did we sweat. Lots of fun.

Back on plan today. Had my wakeup drink. Maybe have eggs for breakfast.

Good luck sweetpea! You can do it!

Good morning ladies!

Cute avi Kaimi..love it!

Well didn't do so well myself from yesterday so back in today. Gained 1.6 since Saturday so not sure how much actually gained from yesterday. Back on today and boy, is my stomach gurgling... I think yesterday was a shock to my system.

Good luck Sweetpea, I know you'll do well. Smart to only weigh once a week. I waiver back and forth with my scale. It's a love/hate relationship..lol.

I had an unplanned cheat yesterday. :blush: Oh well, onward. We will just stay on the 17day cycle a day or two past the 17 days to make up for our sins.

This is day 11 for us. Had my smoothie this AM and looking forward to my big salad w/chix for lunch and a bunch of red grapes.

Have a great day everyone!

Kind~congrats on losing so many inches!! That's why the scale isn't moving..your body is shrinking, the scale will catch up soon!

Sweetpea~I don't have any recipes that are extraordinary but I'd recommend going to 'The Doctors' website and look under the 17 day diet thread, there are TONS of recipes..even have a sticky for it!

Made turkey patties last night for today.
1 lb. ground turkey
added grated:
Onion
Bell Pepper
Celery
Garlic
Cajun Seasonings
Made into patties, cooked in little olive oil and chicken broth.
Ate one for lunch today with lettuce and tomato salad. The rest I froze for later.

Thanks, Shari for the heads up on the doctors website. I've been stuck with no imagination for recipes and I'm finding alot of good ideas to try. I was in a rut.

Check out my journal. I don't provide actual "recipes" but I do list what I've eaten every day so far. If you want anything specific, I will gladly PM you or post it for everyone.

Ok, I don't like salmon but I'm willing to try the packets near the tuna in water. Do you think this is OK or should I make my own "fresh"?? I will get sick of tuna fast.

You are not alone--a lot of people I know don't like salmon. Do you like tilapia or any other white fish? According to the book, there is nothing wrong with canned tuna as long as it is packed in water. I never cooked fresh tuna and leave it to the restaurant chefs! How about making tuna cakes--like fish cakes?? Or making a seasoned mixture of egg/eggbeaters and tuna fish and then baking then in muffin pan? I've done this before on traditional low carb. They are easy for "pack and go" meals and individual servings.

Thanks for posting the link to my journal and for stopping by to visit!

Good Morning Ladies -
Made it through day 1
I love lemons, but the hot water with lemon is not very tasty even with the truvia.
Made an omlete for breakfast this morning, will eat a little later.
Good Luck all and keep up the good work !!
~~~ Happy Tuesday ~~~
P.S. - I don't like Salmon either -- too fishy for me.
I am not fond of the lemon water either. I found that drinking it cold or with iced water makes it go down easier. Also, on Dr M video, he says you can substitute unsweetened cranberry juice using a 1:4 ratio of juice to water. Finding unsweetened juice may be hard. I did get Knudsen's unsweetened cranberry juice concentrate in a health food store. I think the Fat Fast diet uses this.
Oh I missed this, good to know..thanks!
I love salmon! It cost so much here though so I usually settle for tilapia or canned tuna. I've lost fine eating it so it's okay.
Oh good morning ladies!
Scale dropped down (1.6lbs) to pre-cheat weight from Sunday.
I can drink it cold, not a problem - just a like a weak lemonaide, but I thought it had to be hot to get the digestive juices flowing?
Beautiful day here again. Went to the park this morning and had a nice brisk walk and went the hard route with a steep hill. Got me sweating. Had some bathroom action today, hoping the scale shows it tomorrow. I thought the lemon water had to be hot, too. I drink it with truvia and down it and get it over with.
Had an omelet today with leftover broccoli. Sipping a berry Kefir smoothie now.
Dinner may be turkey salad or fish. Not sure yet.
Kind regarding all 4 cycles............not sure. Want to see what the scale says the end of the 1st cycle. Might go back to low carb if I don't see much.
Have a great day everyone!
The book doesn't seem to explain it all; his website has a host of information and video interviews. It doesn't matter if the lemon water is hot or cold--I think it is the lemon on an empty stomach which is the important thing. The cranberry juice option is not in the book but in one of his videos.
