The only thing she leaves out or is unclear about in the overview for Cycle 1 is the green tea--you need to have 1 serving with each meal.

I was incorrect in an earlier post about the green tea. I read closer and you must either drink it 3x day w meals or take green tea supplements. There is something in the green tea that is supposed to accelerate your fat burning cells.

I am officially starting tomorrow. I've been weaning myself into the diet these past few days. Trying to get used to drinking the lemon water and eating the 2 fruits before 2 pm.

I wasn't planning on starting anytime soon because I just started WW.

NOW ----

I'm struggling................. with WW and up on the scale since saturday! Just venting - now come on in and feel sorry for me.

The plan looks pretty good. It's just 17 days, right? My OLD body isn't responding to WW like it "used" to. I don't know. I just had my babies 2 1/2 months ago and I can do my journaling the night before ~ it's just I'm not exercising and drinking my water as much.

I started journaling, so you can check my thread out. I think soy is definitely out--Dr M is all about the natural and whole product. Soy, IMO, is not healthy and has been genetically modified. Also, if you have thyroid issues, soy is something you should avoid. I use egg whites in the containers; I rarely buy whole eggs anymore. 1/4 cup = 1 whole egg, usually.

I typed day 1 for my friend and thought I'd share here.....

Here are examples of how to build menus on the Achieve Cycle. You can follow these exactly or create your own.

Wake-up drink

Every morning, as soon as you rise, drink one 8-ounce cup of hot water. Squeeze half a lemon into the cup; the lemon stimulates your digestive juices. Your goal is to drink at least six to seven more glasses of water by the end of the day. The rate at which you burn calories drops if you're dehydrated. And if you're dehydrated, your body doesn't absorb nutrients properly.

Day 1

Breakfast
1 slice whole-wheat toast
1 poached, soft-boiled, or hard-boiled egg
1/2 grapefruit
1 cup green tea

Lunch
Chicken Caesar salad: grilled chicken breast, cut in pieces; 2 cups Romaine lettuce; other desired salad veggies; 2 tablespoons light Caesar dressing
1 slice whole-wheat toast
1 serving fresh fruit
1 cup green tea

Dinner Roasted port tenderloin
1-2 cups tossed mixed salad with 2 tablespoons fat-free dressing
1 cup green tea

Snacks1 probiotic, dairy, or dairy substitute serving
1 frozen fruit bar

What you typed is for Achieve--Cycle 3. Accelerate is Cycle 1 and Activate is Cycle 2. Cycle 2 is alternate days of Cycle 1 foods (limited) with additional new Cycle 2 foods.

Kefir basically is yogurt but thinner in consistency--more like buttermilk. It is in the dairy case usually by the yogurt.

Dr M says to use Truvia, which is natural sweetener.

Only supposed to weigh on Day 7 and Day 14, so I will have to force myself to stay off the scale--sorry to disappoint! Cycle 2 alternates days of Cycle 1 and introduces new foods such as beef and shellfish, grains. The same restrictions are to eat the carb foods and fruit before 2:00.

I forced myself to eat my second probiotic last night. Today I had 2 for breakfast and found I was wanting something tonight while watching TV so I had a light & fit vanilla yogurt for a snack. I don't think there's a problem with having a third probiotic in a day.

It will be hard for me also not to weigh in everyday,
But going to weigh in every 7 days.
Sweetpea you seem to be doing good.
One thing it will be easier for me doing this type of eating, husband is doing with.
Green tea.I got at health store and it is to be a good pure green tea.
I dont like hot drinks,so having hot and not cold will be diff.
Im going to be doing this by the book.
I think that he is trying to cut us off sugars.and go for more natural foods that have it.
Alot of protein too. and more of the healthy carbs and good fats.
I think also that as we age it gets harder to loose. So Im hoping this will help.
Is there 2 sweetpeas here?
At our walmart they sell the book.
Have a good evening and hope., we all report a good weigh in at the end of 17 days.

I don't think I mentioned that Kefir comes in a bottle, not a container. You don't have to drink Kefir; I bought it because Whole Foods sells organic low fat and fat free varieties, as well as full fat and fruit flavored. They also sell goat Kefir--no thanks... Just get the low fat yogurt with no extra sugar added. All yogurts should have active/live cultures in them, so that is the probiotic serving. I have plain greek yogurt and I eat my fruit separately rather than get yogurt with fruit. It makes what looks meager into something more substantial! Note about cottage cheese: I think only the Breakstone liv active has live/active cultures; regular cottage cheese does not and you can't have that until Cycle 3, so you need to read the labels.

At our walmart they sell the book.
Have a good evening and hope., we all report a good weigh in at the end of 17 days.
