I know how frustrating it is when you don't see the scale move as much in comparison to the amount of effort you put in, but remember the inches you have lost along with the 2 sizes!

KUTGW!!

Congrats on your loss so far! According to the book the lemon stimulates your digestive juices. Its a diuretic. The first cycle is supposed to be a cleansing cycle to help you get rid of sugar. I wouldn't worry if you forget it sometimes since you are losing.

I stopped the green tea late in Cycle 1 because of the constipation factor.

I can't eat salad w/o dressing. I usually make my own with EVOO and lemon juice and herbs, or use Newman's light balsamic. You still need to have your 2 TBL of healthy fats/day, so dressing w/EVOO will work just fine--and you are in Italy where EVOO reins supreme!!!

I've been drinking diet Lipton green tea w/mixed berries. Also drink lots of water.

I need dressing on salads, either some vinegrette, or I found a Litehouse Kefir Caesar dressing that I like in the refrigerated section. I know you are limited where you are.

I went to Ruby Tuesday yesterday for lunch. Plan was salad bar but changed my mind and got a petite meal. It was chicken fresco which was a very small grilled chicken breast topped with tomato and a lemon butter balsamic dressing, steamed brocoli, mashed cauliflower. Wasn't much dressing and I'm sure there was some kind of cream in the cauliflower but it was tasty and not many calories on their fit and lean menu.

Scale exactly the same today. Today is day 16.............I guess I better read over cylce 2. I an craving a nice juicy steak.

I used 1 Tbsp. of EVOO to scramble 2 eggs this morning and I used 2 Tbsp. of Newman's Own Balsamic Vinaigrette Dressing.

Yes, surrounded by olive oil AND pasta. They have 2 isles of pasta in the grocery stores. Need to post pictures for you all too see.

Good Morning Ladies -
Day 8 was a good day - I will not step on the scale until Monday. Only once a week for me.
The hardest think for me is no fruit as a snack around 7:00 P.M. I want some type of snack, but have found nothing to my liking, so I have nothing.

Kaimi2008 - where in Italy do you live? My DH is 1/2 Italian and in a couple of years we hope to visit.

I have to weigh everyday. Its in my DNA.

Last night I had a ff orange creme yogurt for a snack. If I crave choclate I take ff yogurt w/ unsweetened cocoa and truvia. Have even put this in a small blender with chopped ice and made like a milk shake.

I think I'm going to add in an extra yogurt for my nighttime chocolate craving.
Chocolate syrup, natural greek yogurt and 1 splenda packet. I've done everything perfect to a "T" -- so far, well, besides the diet pepsi.
I had yoplait f/f orange creme yogurt for snack.
Time for me too start my chicken dinner.

sweetpea49, good luck here. seriously, thank god the babies keep me inside or i'd be downtown eating!! I've lived here for almost 7 years and i'm so going to miss the pizza/pasta/beer. NOT A wine drinker. miss it all.

Morning!

Sorry I have not checked in lately! Busy Busy.

We will be on plan until Thursday, then we are going to Gma's for the weekend. We are going to start Cycle 1 again next Tuesday and go through all 3 cycles the right way. We have enough #'s to lose to do a few cycles, that's for sure!

B - Smoothie

L - Salad with chicken, red grapes

D - Either turkey burgers or turkey chili.

As for salad dressings, I found the walden farms no cal, no sugar, no fat ranch/bacon dressing and it is good!

it's 7:38pm and I'm getting hungry!

This is when I "fail" and grab something "not" so "good"...

Ok, here's what I had for day 1: look OK?

Day 0: 2 May 2011 @ 170.2 pounds – plus, day 2 of cycle

Day 1: 3 May 2011

hot lemon water: 6:00am

Breakfast: 7:00am
2 eggs w/ 1 tbsp. olive oil fried
1 grapefruit (supposed to have 1/2 but nothing left by the time I finished cutting it up)
hot mandarin orange green tea

Snack: 9:35am
Yoplait light fat-free orange crème yogurt 6 oz.
green tea; superfruit purple acai w/ blueberry

Lunch: 11:30am
Tuna packet in water, 1 boiled egg white ONLY , lettuce, cauliflower, cucumbers, ½ cup of cottage cheese and 2 Tbsp. Newman's Own Balsamic Vinaigrette Dressing
green tea; superfruit purple acai w/ blueberry

Diet Pepsi: 1:20pm (1 diet coke left)

Snack: 1:30pm
1 orange

Dinner: 5:00pm
Chicken breast w/ broccoli
1 Tbsp. olive oil

Extra  Snack: probably around 8:00pm or 8:30pm since I go to bed late.

Hi .
I would like to ask a few things.
I see you girls on yogurt, that it seems to me that you are having yogurt with mixed fruit inside? and i see that you also added ff choc to it??
I thought from the book that he wants us to cut the sugars. I get the Plain yogurt that has sugars 9 grams{. fat o cals 120 for 6 oz.Then i add truiva with 1T. sugar free jam.
Also if I read right.that some one is going to start over and do another cycle 1? Can we go back and do it again?

I thought from the book that he wants us to cut the sugars. I get the Plain yogurt that has sugars 9 grams{. fat o cals 120 for 6 oz.Then i add truiva with 1T. sugar free jam.
Also if I read right.that some one is going to start over and do another cycle 1? Can we go back and do it again?
My yogurt has no mixed fruit - do you mean fruit at the bottom? If so, no.

Right now, I have 2 kinds. greek yogurt plain. I do not know the sugar content - foreign language. I add in s/f choc. syrup or as suggested -will add in unsweetened cocoa powder w/ splenda. yogurt and cottage cheese is limited so i eat what is av. and we'll see how it goes. i will learn from my weigh-ins if it's right for me or not. plus, dh picked up yoplait light/fat free/harvest peach and orange creme and i'm eating it. I'm glad i wasn't out in that payday mess.

I haven't read the whole book but I looked in the Q's and A's on page 224 and it says:

I've gotten great results so far on cycle 1. Can't I just stay on it?

A. Great job with your weight loss! That tells me you have a strong will for healthier habits and respect the gift of your health. Keep going! I don't advise staying on Cycle 1 more than 17 days, however. The diet is carefully designed to keep your metabolism charged up, to prevent plateaus, and to re-introduce foods gradually back into your life. It's best that you follow all three cycles as described. Then after 51 days, you get to return to cycle 1 for continued weight loss.
