I agree, the website has tons of info...much more than the book explains and with his video blog is great. Regarding doing all 4 cycles, I think I will but I'm going on vacation soon so I can only do cycle 1 now. I plan to transition to LC until after the cruise then restart when I get back.

I was reading on cycle2.{ Going to start next week{Monday.
Same as cycle 1 excepts it reduces 1 fat.and adds 2 healthy carbs.>1,500
In ways this is bothering me for added calaries.
Im just now starting to loose little on scale.{Even though i had lost lots of inches.
Cycle 2 seems like Judd.
I thought to as we lose weight, we should lower our calaries?{Not from 17dd but as a thought.
Shari, what web site are you talking about?
Can any one feel the diff. on how they feel and is belly going down?Mine is.

I told a friend about the 17 day diet and she said -- how come in the video (his website) if it's a 17 day diet the before and after photos all say 28 days or something like that?
Um, in the video he says - it takes 17 days for your body to cleanse, balance and stabalize itself.

Can you do cycle 1 longer? like on Atkins Induction? I'm in the beginning of reading...
I think Shari is talking about "the doctors"....website.
congrats on your belly going down. that's what i wanted to hear - success results in that area.

It was either in the book or on his website, he said if you had a couple of cheat days in Cycle 1 you could extend it for a few days but not indefinitely like Atkins induction. He explains the science behind the calorie cycling and not putting your body into starvation mode with long term low calorie which would only make your body hold on to every calorie you consume but also your fat cells.

Good morning to all
Had my leamon water. Had egg whites with 1/2 grape fruit.
Going to cut up veggies for the soup.

We have till Monday to get done with cycle1,{ Going 2 days longer for hubby went off for weekend.{I, for 1 day{But no gain for me.
But here of late{1day] Im fighting with in self to stay with this.
I see cylcle2 is better{ Kinda like Judd.
But I will most likely keep going. at least for the 2 cycles.
And see how this 17 day diet works for me.
I sure thought weight would come off more.
But I did loose 2 pant sizes so that is good.
Maybe now body will catch up with losing weight.

Good afternoon!

Day 11 here. Still hanging in there. I really thought 17 days no problem but I'm kinda getting burned out with just chicken, turkey and fish. I need more variety.

Today so far.

Breakfast was egg omelet with spinach and feta.
Snack was apple and LA breakstone cottage cheese.

Lunch just finished salad with romaine, cukes, yellow pepper and grilled chicken with Kefir caesar dressing.

Hoping to see more weight loss.

Good afternoon 17DD peeps! I'm doing well..down 6 ounces in two days..lol. But I'm also at a weight that my body loves to stay at so it takes a few days to move into the next decade. Waiting patiently...but stopping next Saturday.

I agree, Starrynite, I'd love some other meat. I'm craving shrimp and pork chops now.

Hope everyone is doing okay.

The liquid that they are packed in have a somewhat "fishy" smell and some people find it offensive. I cut open the bag and dump them into a colander under cold running water and then use my kitchen scissors to cut them up. The noodles do not taste of fish or of anything else. They are like tofu--it will absorb the taste and seasoning of what you pair it with. I always have a couple of bags in my fridge--they have a long expiration date.

Cauliflower Soup with Red Pepper Puree - Cycle 1
2 TBSP olive oil
1 Med. onion chopped
2 cloves garlic, minced
4 cups low-sodium chicken broth
2 tsp orange zest
1 large head cauliflower cut into florets
salt & pepper to taste

Red Pepper Puree:
1/2 c. roasted red peppers (jarred)
1 TBS olive oil
1 Tsp lemon juice

In saucepan, heat olive oil over medium head. Add onions & cook til translucent. Add broth and orange zest, increase heat and bring to a boil. Add cauliflower and cook til florets are no longer crisp, but not soggy (about 5 min.)

Remove from head Puree in batches in blender or use emersion blender. Return to pot and keep warm til ready to serve. May be refrigerated and reheated.

For Puree: in food processor or blender, pureered peppers with olive oil and lemon juice. Transfer to small sauce pan and gently warm. (Add water if too thick).

Ladle soup into bowls. Place red pepper puree in dollops into bowl. Can trace dollops with end of sharp knife to create a pattern if you want to get fancy.)

P.S. - Don't leave out the red pepper sauce - for me that is what made it so good.
Hope you all enjoy !!

Thanks for posting recipe. Sounds delish. I must buy another head of fresh cauliflower.

Finally see another number on scale after being disappointed yesterday. Down 1.4.

Thought I'd try a different shake this morning. I put 1 cup plain yogurt, 1 cup frozen peaches, 1 tsp Torrani french vanilla, and 1/2 TBSP agave nectar. Not too bad. I can eat it with a spoon.

Hope everyone has a great weekend!

Made this today and put the red pepper sauce on top. Really tasty. Not sure about the orange zest yet. I like it but maybe I put too much in.
