So we have decided that tomorrow we are going on our first road trip/camp out

Todays workout will be cleaning and stocking the camper ! Its always surprising to me how much stuff i take with us when we go away

Im excited to just build a fire and sit with hubby and relax by the lake

might even throw the fishing rods in and do a little fishing

Did I say I read the book?? I'm sorry, I've only ordered it and it isn't set to arrive until May 21. I've just read his French website and the articles we've all seen.

I'll be sure to share what I learn once the book arrives. I hope we are all still going strong on it by May 21!

Duuuuuuuuuuuddddddeee! I am still having a hard time with heartburn. I thought getting off sugar was supposed to help that. All this meat is likely acidic and I'm ready for some alkaline veggies.

I plan on being here!

Sorry you are having heartburn. What kinds of meat are you eating?

Pretty much sticking with eggs, chicken, tuna, and some ground beef. I was having heartburn on Atkins and that was one of the reasons I wanted to try Dukan as I thought lower fat might help. Since I already had heartburn (which I didn't have before LCing) before lowering my fat, it is likely not being helped by days of straight meat.

You're not eating dairy of any kind?

I noticed removing the yolks from the hard-boiled also aids in digestion and I do not have the "bit of a heartburn" feeling.

Sooz, ......Not sure why you are limiting dairy unless you have an intolerance.

.......Also, to everyone, I really want to emphasize, that fat free cheese is NOT allowed in the first two stages of the diet.

.....Will post a new post with some recipes in a sec! xxx
Mimosa: Not sure why I am thinking I won't do dairy, other than except for cheese I don't really like it that much. I may add some skim milk because I do like that! Thanks for the recipes! The Vinaigrette Maya sounds really good. I have been having a little craving for a salad with Vinaigrette.

Hi Pat! Your breakfast burrito sounds really good. I'm looking forward to seeing how well you did after you get on the scale.

Barb: Congratulations on being 3.4 pounds down!! You might be surprised what happens by Monday!

Mel..... You're leaving us?? It sounds like a nice relaxing time!! Are you going to Dukan while you are gone or what until you get back?

LJR - Trying to avoid dairy as I have a casein allergy and it stalls my weight loss in general. I'll probably have some 100%whey protein if that is allowed occasionally though.

I have to take a Dairy Aid pill because lactate upsets my stomach. The cottage cheese and yogurt don't seem to be raging around inside. So that is good. My goal is to eat as little dairy as possible and concentrate on meat and veggie. I used to love Body Tech whey protein in the chocolate flavor. Tasted like a chocolate milk shake.

ETA: Seriously...not hungry right now! I have my egg white/turkey and really have no appetite.

Ok, I'm in!

FitMommyNow directed me here.

I tried Atkins, but I am horribly stalled. I know I need to switch to a lower fat plan, so I'm willing to give this a try! I did the little calculation or whatever it is and it said that my attack phase is 6 days. If it will get me UNstalled, I'm all for it!

Yea! Glad you are going to give it a try! I'm down 3.5lbs in four days! No more stall!

LJR - I have some 100% Whey Protein that is stevia sweetened (1 gram of carb). I'm going to blend some up with a bunch of ice and have a shake for dinner. That should cool off this heartburn.

Hooray Hooray the first of May. Outdoor living begins today and I am down four pounds in 5 days.

I'm off to the kitchen to make my oat bran pancake. Hope everybody has a great weekend.

I had a slight change of menu. When I got to the kitchen I really wanted something sweet, so I took the oatbran pancake recipe and turned it into a one minute muffin (thanks for the idea LJR). I flavored it with Splenda and lots of cinnamon and then sprinkled it with more cinnamon and Splenda after it was cooked. I won't pretend that it was as good as a one minute muffin made with flaxmeal and almond flour and shmeared liberally with cream cheese, but it did calm down my sweet craving and it was quite nice with a cup of coffee.

Way to go! Great rhyme!

I'm going to Whole Foods this weekend to see if I can find some oat bran that is gluten free.

Had my whey shake for dinner last night. It was a nice change from meat. So far, no heartburn so may just do whey shakes today.

I made my yo cheese and mixed with cinnamon and nutmeg and chilled it overnight. I can use a butter knife and smear it on my oat bran OMM's. Tastes ok. I prefer the savory OMM's made with Italian Seasonings.

Your True weight is 9 st 7 lbs. This is above the weight that you wanted, but it is a good weight, a weight that you can easily achieve and maintain. Have confidence in me about this.

Starting today, you will weigh 9 st 7 lbs on 29/06/2010. This was the calculation the linked site gave me

I went to the link and am a little confused as to what 9st 7 lb means? I know pounds and stones are different ways of measuring weight but why are they together?

Pat: 4 pounds in 5 days is great!! Congratulations!

Mel: Give that ADORABLE son of yours a hug for me and have fun!

Barb: Day 7.... that's fabulous! Are you moving on to Cruise so you can add veggies soon? When do you weigh in?

Jeanie: There are 14 pounds in a stone so it is saying your true weight is 133.

Have a great day everyone! I'm learing so much for when I start.

It seems that on average most people are getting a weight that is higher than what they originally want. However, I guess weighing 20lbs more than I want is more realistic since I'm no longer in my 20's and had a hard time maintaining that weight then!

Sooz - I'll weigh tomorrow morning. I could do three more days of cruise since he said you could do a max of 10 days but I'm really ready for veggies. Since every other day is protein I figure 7 days straight was good enough! LOL

Finished 7 Days of ATTACK and lost a total of 4.5 pounds! Woo Hoo! I'm really pleased!

I have TOM coming this week so I may not weigh again for about 10 or so days. Starting CRUISE phase today!

Hi Everyone, hope you had a great weekend!

Well done on the weightloss, Barb!!!!!!!!

I spent the weekend starting with the Cruise phase, and had some lovely chicken tandoori and roasted asparagus on Saturday evening and ate steamed salmon and roasted red peppers on sunday evening, very yummy and I am glad I can eat some veggies again! They do taste good!

So today my menu is:

B: quark, 1 cup with my oat bran and some flavoured stevia
L: chili spiced ground beef with tomatoes and 2 TB of quark
D: homemade turkey burgers with cucumber

Have a great day everyone! Not sure what I weigh, I think my scales are not working due to me needing to change the battery! (It has been bleeping at me the whole weekend) So far, I lost 4lbs in 5 days attack, so I am a happy camper!

I spoke to my trainer today and she looked over my menu and said to begin adding the low-carb veggies in tonight for dinner (since I already ate my lunch of cottage cheese, eggs whites, and turkey burger) and from now on for lunch and dinner. And I should cut down on my cottage cheese (sodium), too. Otherwise, I'm on the right track!
Wednesday, we (re)begin the weight training since she's back from vacation!

I had my first day on CRUISE yesterday. I ate a 4 serving size bag of "steam in the bag" veggies. It was all of 70 calories. It was good but oddly not "great" like I was expecting it to be to have veggies.

Today is PP day again. Eggs for breakfast, likely lean hamburger for lunch, and dinner might be ground turkey.

Hi all! I think I posted a post to this thread somewhere else, LOL!!! Lost it though, so I am sure someone will be wondering why I posted my daily menu etc in their thread!!!!!

Nothing much to report, so far lost 5 lbs in 8 days, so not bad going!!! Also, TOM is on the way, and for a first time in many months no water weight gain, YES!!!! Rings still fit, shoes are not tight and not got any sign of a bloated belly (apart from the fat bits that is, LOL)!!!!

So my menu today:

B: 2 eggs HB with 1/2 cup yogurt and oat bran
L: leftover turkey burgers with a green salad mixed in
D: I am now thinking salmon from the oven with cottage cheese and herbs... Not sure if it is nice, but going to give it a go! Will have a couple of tomatoes with that.

Have a great day!!!
