Would you believe I made my morning yogurt and after I ate it I realized I forgot my oat bran!!!! Guess I'll have to have some more later!! ![]() It's going to be another hot one today. We got the room air conditioner in for downstairs so that will help somewhat. It's just too early in the year to be this hot here!! Today is day two of Cruise. I was down .4 pounds today. I'm thrilled since I had veggies yesterday. Today is a PP day. Still not sure what my plan is for tomorrow. I'll figure out tonight what I'm going to do. Have a great day!!

Start cruise on Friday!!! Otherwise I would say just watch your calories for the day. Maybe someone else will have another suggestion!

I haven't read all the guidelines for cruise, but that sounds like a good idea.

"But if you stray away from the list of permitted foods, you are no longer allowed to eat any quantity you like, and you will have to start counting how many calories you eat." pg 37 "An apparently harmless lapse will be enough for you to lose all the benefits of this precious freedom of being able to eat all you want. For just a tiny gain in variety, you will be forced for the rest of that day to count your calories and restrict what you eat." pg 43 So to me I don't see why you can't have a planned out day if you know a special occasion is coming along. Anyone else have thoughts on this?? |

Everyone seems to be doing great! I am still around and on plan. We just adopted a new furbaby so we are all pretty occupied around our house these days so I am not online as much. Just thought I would check in to say "hi!"

Good evening ladies. Day 2 down. I ended up being under 1000 cals today but I feel totally satisfied. I don't feel hungry at all. If I end up getting hungry later ill have some yogurt.
Breakfast was a shake made with 6 oz almond milk, 2 oz egg whites, 1 scoop protein powder and half a cup fage. Snack was a boiled egg Lunch was a seafood medley I found at wallys and a can of tyson chunk white chicken breast and a boiled egg Snack was half a cup of fage with 1 T unsweetened cocoa Dinner was about 6 oz chicken breast andi made a galette to eat with it. The galette was realy good. I'm gonna try it sweet sometime, I made it savory with garlic and red pepper flakes. I haven't weighed yet. I will probably wait until Friday or Saturday. I'm just to scared to get on the scale right now. I went for a run this morning and did some ab work and kettlebell swings when I got home. I feel good right now. My fat was under 30 grams, carbs were 22 grams and protein was 160 grams. I guess that's ok right? I'm used to eating under 100 grams of protein and around 60 grams of carbs and 70 fat. So this is really different. Now that was when I was being good tho. The past couple of weeks have been out of control. That's why I'm doing this. I'm hoping for ketosis and just something different. Sorry this was so long. I'm glad everyone is doing great. Ill be glad when I can have a salad!! |

I just ate mine. It was good, but I think I like it with the ricotta cheese better. It doesn't have as strong a taste.
Keep up the good work Shelly!! I may have to make some homemade sauce. But it needs to cool down first. |

Not a good omen. I meant to start 2 days ago but got sidetracked and tempted. June 1st is my official day. For real this time. No, seriously. It's REAL.
I had my oat bran for breakfast, not a lot. I make a hot cereal and it's like oatmeal, I like it. But not enough!!!! When I get hungry in an hour I will eat poached chicken breasts that I made a couple of days ago. I have also made a seasoning mix with no salt and I will give that a try. I know Dr. Dukan says a 20-minute walk every day is required. But I thought I would do 20-minute stair climb instead. I just went up and down our stairs for 20 minutes. It might not be impressive to you but I hate stairs. I hate it with a vengeance. I REALLY HATE STAIRS! I say that every time I go up our stairs to our bedroom. I wanted to give up just 2 minutes in but I got mad at the stairs and told them they will NOT break me! So I did it! Yay! I am so proud of myself. In lieu of a walk, I will do this, is this okay? Am I burning enough calories this way? Is this enough activity? I basically just sit on my butt all day and I hardly have any activity. Should I add a walk to this? Anyway, just logging in what I've done so far today. SW 150.2 lbs GW/TW 108 lbs |

Dollkey, here's another recipe using the oatbran.
Quick N Easy Cookie 1/8 t. cinnamon 2 T. oat bran 1 T. ff milk 1 pkt splenda Mix all ingredients and shape into a cookie. Microwave on high for one minute on a microwave safe plate (do not use a paper plate). This is taken from someone elses site and I haven't tried it yet. To me, I think any excercise will do. Just get that body moving!! lol |

Good Morning!! Do you think we should start a new thread for the month??
The scale does show a one pound increase but I was expecting it b/c of the veggies I added in yesteday. So today is a protein day. |

JKat, I read a tip about weighing yourself early on P/V day and don't weigh in on PP day because that's after a day of veggies/protein. I will do this when I get to Cruise so I don't get so affected, I am easily disappointed by the scale.

Hi all, well , I have a setback- looking for insight? I was down 10 lbs proper on Monday, now back up 4! I am eating on track, except for one deviation- almond butter when I am so so hungry I would grab a spoonful... that is the only thing not on plan... I wonder, what am I doing wrong? Also, having a terrible time with the ladies room- using Konsyl, but not really helping.. any ideas?

I just picked up the book at Costco today, but have been reading through the thread for the past couple of days. I think I am about ready to try this - have been doing low carb for a while now, but not the low fat. |

5 lbs lost and it's day 5 of the Attack Phase! It's been worth battling with my salt cravings, I think...
In a fit of 5-lbs-thinner euphoria, I've been clearing out recent newspapers for the recycling, and been reminded that Ma Middleton, Kate and Perfect Pippa reputedly used Dukan to get into shape for the Royal Wedding. There's a cheering thought! They did look beautifully slim, though - I thought Kate looked almost too thin. Well - if Ma Middleton can do it - so can I! |
