Counting Calories/Portion Control

We're trying again to get this thread going ....

For anyone who rather count there calories and control there portions..here we are...for myself it's a more normal way of eating and living ...food groups we're put there for a reason...to be able to enjoy them but with CONTROL,CONTROL,CONTROL...

So anyone interested ...join in...

As of today..i've lost 4.2 lbs since the year started....

I try to keep myself under 1300 calories...and try to exercise at least for 30 minutes a day...it's logic...exercise and food they go hand in hand...it's so simple but yet we seem to complicate things so much ...for me the biggest thing is ........NOT TO EAT AFTER 8;00 ...I GIVE MYSELF A SMILIE WHEN I DON'T...

consumed yesterday;1,156 calories minus 311 for fitness = 845 for my day...carbs were 90 gr...

did 52 minutes of exercise...

Have a great day...and count those calories....calories in/calories out.....

3 Smilies...for this week....still didn't eat last night....WHOOT WOO

Good morning ladies....did not too bad yesterday...it's getting better not eating at night...i deserve 4 ..starting the week-end now...so don't know how that's going to go...i'm going to try my darnest to keep it up...

Consumed;1354 calories yesterday minus 415 (fitness) = 939 calories for my day..plus 131 carbs...like to lower that # just a little....

Did 18 minutes of t-tapp + 4 miles with Leslie = 74 minutes of exercise

I knew i had a little more junk in the afternoon...had to put the extra mile...

I hope everybody else will find us into our new thread...

Hi Ladies

Slept to 9:30 this morning and than I had to pick up my new glasses and than start my dinner.So it was a total rush that I didn't have time to post.

I got to get my walking done this morning and completed 2M,and my total calories for the day will be 1450c-186=1264c

I too love this way of eating I ditched the diets along ago and eat what I want ,but watch the portion sizes by eating off one of those black plastic dishes that comes from the frozen entrees. If I cooked more that what fills in those trays I put the rest in a another frozen container and use for another days meal.

GAETS-Thanks for starting a new thread I book marked it,so I should be able to get there everyday.Big congrats on your 4.2 weight loss from the being of the year.

JOANNEW-what K.I.S.S. stand for.


CANADIAN WOMAN-Hope the cc/pc way of dieting will work for you.I find it working for me,as I don't feeling like I depriving myself being on on the is way of eating. Like Gaets say calories in/calories out.

MG, A Lamborghini.

DD is in love with sporty/fast cars! The other day when I picked her up from school, I parked beside a sporty car and she asked me what it was but didn't see the name on the car. It was a Honda but I don't see it on their website, anyway I was on yahoo and clicked on autos and that's when I saw a beautiful red Lamborghini.

I was telling dh after my HS graduation was over, I walked outside and there was a beautiful red Lamborghini wrapped with a red bow waiting for him/her. I told dh that was for HS, can you imagine what he/she would have gotten if they graduated from college.

How's everyone doing?

The scale refuses to descend and I am getting ! I am staying within my alloted calories - 1300 and net carbs have been 20. I will hang in there awhile longer, but if nothing continues to happen, I will have to try something different.

Joannew, I'm sorry the scale isn't moving down. Have you tried adding in 100 extra calories and upping your carbs to 30g's? I'm at 1,440 calories per day and I've lost 3.2 pounds since January 2nd. I told dh that if I "stall" on week 3 then I'll need to change it up a bit too. that doesn't happen.

Good morning ladies....i guess i had to much fun this week-end...the scale is not my friend at all this morning..

Had a couple of glass of wine..oh i mean a bottle ....oops....with good food ..too much good food as i can see....i've never wanted to be strict on week-ends mostly saturdays..hey we do need one day a week for little pleasure of life.....don't you think...

PLUS my biggest mistake i did on fri/sat/and sunday....ate pass 8;00...so now i'm thinking for me it's a big thing not to eat past 8;00 so this coming week and week-end i'm going to give it a try...no eating at all at any time past 8;00....that's going to be so hard

consumed;1,297 calories - 173 only a walk with hubby last night = 1,124 cal. for the day....

i'm going to pick my feet back up and try again...trial and error...we will get it one of this days

I hope everybody else did better than i did this week-end

Had an out of town Family Reunion this past weekend and ate more than normal. Everyone thought I looked thin already so I decided, what the heck I would enjoy some of the old family favorites; just in small amounts. I didn't even really try to count Saturday's calories but did better yesterday. I'm actually afraid to weigh right now but will wait till the end of the week.

Hoping everyone has a better week. Sounds like some of us are struggling and others not being as good as they should.

I will say right now that I have got this attitude that I can't understand why I can't just eat what I want and not gain weight. That is a dangerous attitude for me and sometimes I find that is what gets me in trouble everytime with my weight. Hopefully, I'm just tired and it will pass. Hang in there everyone and do what you need to do to accomplish your weight goals.

Hi Ladies

Didn't do too good at my W-I today either. I went up 3-lbs after a snack attack that I ate at a very depressing midweek & end.

Ever since I went to the cemetery last Wed. and saw the engraving on the headstone,I'm unable to sleep & snacking is coming a comfort food for me,even though I exercised every day.for 30-45 mins per. day

Have to get out of this depression. Thank Goodness I have the bereavement group coming up this Wed. Maybe I can get some ideas of what to do when depression starts.


Sorry for whining,forgive me if I don't post regularly until I get my head on straight.

what I have been doing is opening my eating window at 8:00am and closing it at 8:00pm. And following weight watchers point system. So far so good. I started week 2 today.And I am doing very well.

Good morning ladies.....yesterday;consumed 1,224 - 302(56 min. of exercise)=922 calories for my day..

carbs..112 gr

I didn't eat past 8;00 last night...feel so much better when i finaly go to bed...1 smilie for this week...

Maryann..hang in there girl...it must be hard to get back into a routine ...during the holidays you were surrounded with family but now on your own...it's not so easy...but you will have days like this and other days it will be better ...but we are all here for you ...

Dasiey..keep up the good work...

JoanneW..i hope your scale is doing some improvment for you

We are doing our best and that's all we can ask for...
