Thank you, Linda! I'm looking forward to hanging out and losing with you I did well today...tonight will be the real test!

I have a ? Has anyone experienced GB troubles due to fasting? Someone in the ML attributed her attacks to IF. I actually started having GB attacks after 1 month of IF and a year later had my GB removed, BUT I have no proof that there was a direct relationship. I had my GB surgery in March and STILL have "phantom" attacks... think it may be bile reflux. Docs have no answers Any light y'all can shed on this would be appreciated.

Lisa, the thread in the ML is the first I'd ever heard of GB issues. I've always heard that it's the lack of fat in your diet and then when you add fat, your gall bladder can't handle it. Did you change your food when you did the I.F.? Add fat?

I also thought reflux was due to carbs? They tear me up when I have them close to bedtime. Heartburn deluxe and have to get up and take something for it.....baking soda. Maybe I misunderstood you though.

Weighed in at TOPS this morning at 286. They took away my mayo, so we're doing mediterranean food this week. It's gonna be fun.

I also thought it was due to doing lowfat for a long time and adding fat back into your diet that contributed to gallstones. I have been following LC for years and combined it with IF. It just startled me when the lady mentioned IF and her GB...it was prolly just a coincidence in my case. I have terrible epigastric pain on and off since surgery...can't seem to attribute it to specific foods....I just have to take meds when it does occur.

Congrats on trying the Mediterranean food this week, Melissa. That should be interesting. You said "they" took away your mayo. Is that the Dr. or TOPS? Have fun this week on your WOE.

Have you tried ACV w/ the mother when you have those attacks? I've heard that when you have reflux or heartburn that it can be because your stomach is not acidic enough, which sounds just the opposite of what it should be.....to me anyway. Still not sure what epigastric pain is or if we are talking about the same thing. I use the ACV w/ a little stevia and a full glass of water, tastes kinda like lemonade (even add some real lemon for a more lemonade type of flavor) once in awhile.

Linda~ Thanks for the info...I have heard that it can be from too little acid. I have been experimenting with different things to see if it makes a difference. The pain is not as frequent as it used to be, so at least it isn't totally interfering with my life at this point. Maybe my body is just taking time to adjust to not having a GB anymore. They say it can take awhile. Epigastric refers to pain in the middle stomach just below the breast bone. For me it never goes any further up, so not like traditional acid reflux.

We do a 'no-no' food each week at TOPS. Week before last it was french fries. Last week was pizza. This week it's regular mayo. They collect a quarter for every time we eat the no-no food.

LOL. My weight-loss group, TOPS. "Taking Off Pounds Sensibly"
I could eat it if I was prepared to give up some $, but I'm kinda excited about doing the Mediterranean foods this week.

Ok it's happened...I'm feeling hungry already I made sure to eat something fatty and satisfying just before my window closed, but GRR I feel hungry. I will try drinking some water. I wish I could just go to bed now, but alas DH is working and I have to keep an eye on DD till she falls asleep.

Hello, all! Just wanted to welcome Scrappychik, although I am a relative newcomer and not exactly doing IF.

I have to go to bed, falling asleep, worked all day on deadline. Did NOT majorly overeat.

Lisa, I'm hoping you were able to honor your window last night. If not, no big deal. You're just starting and will adjust to not eating after your window closes.

Amandy, good for you for not overeating. Hope you got a good nights sleep.

I am up early this morning after a full day yesterday. Long story, but body is not making t-3 for thyroid, so I needed an additional medicine. Maybe in a short while the brain fog will go away. Also, when they took my temp at the Dr's ofc, it was 97. Can't even get it up to 98.6

Scale is down again today to 153.5. I was tickled with that and didn't expect it honestly. I'll take it. The extra weight I added is coming back off, but it's coming off slowly, not nearly as quick as it went on. Still, a lb a day is exciting for a couple of days. Hope it will keep it up.

Busy day today and then over to BFF's house in another town for a haircut and will spend the night at her house, be home sometime Wed, probably late.

We have a storm coming in on Thursday, sleet and snow again. I'm already tired of ol' man winter and he isn't even really here yet, our winters seem the worst in Feb/March, mainly Feb. They won't know how bad until it gets closer.

Everybody have a great eating day inside your window.

Good morning!

Thanks for the welcome, Amandy!

Linda~ Made it through last night...so much of this WL thing is mental...I already wasn't eating after 8 PM so this is just a few more hours in the evening. I will get used to it. I'm not ravenous this am so hoping I'll make it to 12. I will allow myself some leeway and ease into if I have to. Enjoy time spent with BFF. Im ready for Spring too

Thanks for welcoming me I will have to read more about the "Warrier Diet".

I ended up opening my window 20 minutes early today, but I'm still calling it a success So far I've had some Hamburger Rotel Casserole and a TBSP of natural PB. I am getting ready to walk and have a protein shake.

I exercise in the afternoon when I get off of work mostly. This is about 4-5pm. I do weights and cardio.
Today I will do upper body and walk for at least 30minutes. Stretching is a must of course.
Tomorrow I will just run (2miles).
Thursday, I will do lower body and walk.
I will do a boxing class on the weekend.
I get to work out about 3-4 days a week. This WOE still gives me energy to work out.
For instance, I haven't eaten yet and I am just now getting hungry. (12:45pm PCT)
So I will have a snack (raw food like fruit, yogurt, veggies).
I look forward to my main meal at night.
Just remember to break your fast with gentle foods like soup/veggies/or fruit and then move on to richer foods.

Made it thru the day very well. Lunch, Mom insisted I eat some cake she had made. So I did take small piece with no frosting.......nice chocolate cake...

For supper, I had lettuce salad, roast chicken breast and some left over stove top stuffing......and about 15 semi-sweet chocolate chips. But only water.....no pop today. Wait and see what scale says, but it was friendlier this morning already. Salt is my biggest enemy!!!!

Congrats Melissa!

I will be running today (2miles) in the rain. Oh well, I have some running buddies with me.

When I get home it will be crab cakes and grading papers.
